You're "right!" My first few signals with the 'AT Pro' were 'coke'...registered in the 25's if I remember right and where some low-cond 'desirable targets hit (Euro targets)
Its a heavy duty cable and not as pliable' or as 'floppy' as on other brands..plus I like to be able to completely bend the coil back on itself when I move from spot to spot..
It's 1.5kG's FrankO...very light in the hand while the coil and cover are practically weightless! Don't know how they did it...light-weight epoxy I guess.

why is the coil cable so lose above the coil?

What's the weight of the VistaX Des? Lighter than an explorer?
