Best show on TV! Hands down!! The 3...Roseanne, Dan and Jackie, had the best chemistry. This show was amazing because of them and the writing. But mainly because of Roseanne herself. She struggled with her acting in the beginning, but she really came into her own. She made the show!
Yes!!!! My favorite Roseanne scene of all time was on here. “So who’s it gonna be, me or the other guy?” “The other guy..” “Or me, that’s right now choose.”
To whom it concerns..... Jackie being beaten.... Standing up to her boss at the factory... Just holding Dan while he breaks.. Brilliant writing...amazing acting by all... Ms Barr......YOU WILL BE MISSED !!
yes i grew up on this show... it was a time where our whole family would watch together... it was the one good time we would have back then... we didnt have many good times back then... my favorite episode was when roseanne dan and jackie smoked weed.. lol
In Oregon when I was growing up it came on at 8 o'clock Tuesday nights..we didn't have a VCR so we had to be there on time to watch it. I don't remember missing any episodes until the last season. My mom married a guy who did not like Roseann Barr,.right before season seven started, so we weren't allowed to watch it and it would be years till later when the show came out on DVD that I got to watch the final season. I ended up buying all the seasons on DVD and my husband and our son, who was a teenager at the time, binge watched all the seasons in like two months and I cried my eyes out when the camera panned around and Dan wasn't sitting there...so the whole finale season he was already gone...that was a crazy twist to one of the top five t.v shows of all time.
I agree I'm a Huge fan because I can relate to a lot of the show then and now and the Lottery ruined it for me, it's like the writers had no idea of how to keep going after having to come behind greater writers. The writers changed every 2 years
That season 1 finale when she quits that shitty factory job, I still remember kept me at the edge of my seat.. I had a tormenting boss / work situation back in the day so.. still love Roseanne 💜
Roseanne is a show I still watch, everyone had a purpose in this show and just because she blurts out a clap (insult) to someone else the media and all the sensitive asses twist it just to reduce her and rip her apart from what america loved about her and her sitcom family. P.S my favorite episode is "Born to Be Wild" when Dans old buddy Ziggy visits the family, it was such great chemistry between Ziggy and Dan and seeing how close they were in their younger years
Tierrez I couldn’t agree more. It ruined a great reboot show. I so want Roseanne back. I am literally sick about what they did to her. Over nothing really.
It is bizarre that she did that. She is or was a liberal and ran for President on the Green Party ticket. Current politics aside, I loved her original series. It was my favorite comedy for years. John Goodman should have won an Emmy!!!
Dena I agree that Goodman was incredible. Actually they all were. When that show was good it was the BEST. The lottery win was a terrible year. I guess that is when she took over all writing too. She destroyed her own creation because of the success...happens far too often.
Powerful moment when Jackie told Roseanne Fisher was beating her and at the time I was going through that with my own sister I sat my sister down and made her watch it cause I couldn’t get through to her after that episode she let me tell my parents what was happening ironic thank god for that episode I saved my sister that day and I’ll always be grateful 💯👍🏻👏🏻🙌🏻💕✅ years later I asked her what changed her mind after watching that she said when Roseanne said to Jackie why don’t you have a couple of kids so he can smack them around too
One of the best shows ever. Genuinely funny, amazing writing and superb acting. Laurie Metcalf is truly underrated as an actress. John Goodman is also a brilliant actor.
I Love the old Roseanne show , watched all the reruns all the time. Then when they made the New Roseanne , I could not wait until it came on . And low & behold, they FIRED Roseanne. I don't watch the Conners , At All. Then they took off all the old Roseanne shows. I went and bought all the old Roseanne shows in a box set , now they put all the old Roseanne's back on t v. Wish they would make up their mind. Whoever they are?? Did they ask me , did they ask you people , NO , we all need to stand up for what we want. Make a stand. We pay for TV . I don't anymore. Love ,& Peace. God Bless.
This show was the blue collar everyday poor to middle class family's show. It spoke to us, we related to it. I was so happy for this on Tuesdays and Married With Children on Sundays as well as All in the Family reruns. Just all real shows that spoke to the everyday American family. They sure don't make good sitcoms anymore.
Thank you for the amazing video!! I laughed, I cired....I grew up with these characters, they feel more like family to me then some of my actual family. This video brought so many amazing memories back. I'm still crying, LOL!!
CozyTV has bought Roseann back in 2020! I am enjoying it on analog tv pandemic times. I love this hearty family, true life stuff! Now checking out UA-cam 5/2020 I found these vids. This show really breaks my heart how Roseanne passes, Dan alone, girls & DJ older without her. She was a vibrant love!♥ So wrong how they did this, I love Rosanne, and I am glad to find the fun on CoziTV! 2020! So sad how they lost her this is an all time great show to me!
Despite Roseanne herself going off the deep end in recent years, you can't deny that this show was brilliant and ahead of its time. Still love it and watch it to this day...
I would love it, if Roseanne knocked on the door of The Connors, and Dan says" Rosie, I thought you were dead"! Just like Roseanne said to Dan in the new Roseanne season. I'd love it if they didn't tell the cast, and she came on the set and do it! I'd love to see their faces!
What you listed as #16 "Fights and Stuff" (the living room fight) Was Ultimately the MOST ACCURATE scene in television/family history. This should have been #1
I was too young to remember this, but I was told about the same kind of fight between mine, only my mother was the one who picked up the coffee table instead.
Some of my favorite episodes were of David’s life at home because they always showed how much he meant to the Connors. They always protected him. Not to mention that Darlene and David are my favorite tv couple :)
Agreed. It also helped build up to the episode where Roseanne meets his mom and realizes just how bad David has it or as she says to Dan, "No I don't mean messed up just like how we are messed I mean BAD messed up."
For those complaining about the music - yea it was a creative decision and maybe I should have went without. But if you watch most of my videos, I like to add a score to add more emotional depth and punch to the scenes/montages. I didn’t do this with Ever After or Addams Family recently and it worked great too. I wasn’t intending to sabotage the entire series with the opening track or Philip Glass’s theme from The Hours. I love this show and truly wanted to pay homage to it.
Goshhhhh! Just love love love this show💕 Watching this now makes me feel young once again😢 Thank you for the great and sometimes sad memories ! #Thosewerethedays
It would be very difficult to choose the very best part from the whole run of "Roseanne", but I'm glad to see the scene where Jackie told Roseanne that Fisher had been hitting her was near the top. The acting in that scene in the kitchen was incredibly realistic and a real testament to the love that family had for eachother. Sure, they gave eachother crap sometimes, as all families do, but they always stepped up when someone in the family needed help. From the minute Roseanne found out and calmly but decisively took charge of Jackie's care, to Dan quietly slipping out the back door to deal with Fisher, everyone took responsibility for getting Jackie through that painful part of her life and in the process, set the example, especially to their kids, that that kind of behavior was not to be tolerated.
This show will never be as good without Roseanne!!! My neighbor takes ambien and if I never met him I wouldn’t believe Roseanne. He says random things that I know he can’t convey. It’s like he’s verbalizing random thoughts that can be misconstrued so I actually believe hwe
Watching Cosby show, Home Improvement, & other shows where the home was cleaned and a nice meal everyday ROSEANN was more like my family, 2 struggling working parents in a not so cleaned or organized home. Lol i still watch the old episodes..classics
Man... The funniest moment to me is when Roseanne put Jackie up to making that phone call to her aunt to tell her their daddy died😂😂😂😂... I felt her because the same thing happened to me when they put me up to making the phone calls😂😂😂😂😂😂 now I understand her frustrations😁
My favorite will always be #4 when Jackie is in the bathtub. They don't show it here, but she says," no one loves me". Hahaha...!! STASH FROM THE PAST. 🤣🤣🤣 I remember them all and I miss The Rosanne show. Too bad it didn't work out when they tried to make a come back. 😕
My favorite episode was your episode #30--Toto, We're not in Kansas Anymore. The tornado episode. I went through 2 tornadoes myself as a kid, one in 1967, and the other in 1969. In Michigan. Both parents at work. Summer vacation had just started. Our house and many others lost roofs. Didn't get as much as a scratch. (Jan Griffiths).
This was my favorite show, up until they ruined it with making them lottery winners. The greatness of this show was that it represented what life is like for the majority of Americans. Most of us aren’t rich. We’re struggling with paying bills, and our problems aren’t perfectly wrapped up and solved in 30 minute increments. When they won the lottery, it’s like they wanted to make the show a mock-up of every other show on television instead of working with the formula that had been working for them. I’ll never understand why they chose ruin the show.
Great list. Focused mainly on seasons 1-5 and I completely agree...although "Scenes From A Barbecue", "We Gather Together" and "Boo" would be my top 10...
Great choices. Yeah it was a hard top 30 for sure. I also should have added Mommie Nearest, the episode where Bev gives Jackie and Roseanne $10,000. That one still sticks with me.
Solid Choices! You highlighted some post Season 4 episodes, which is where I loose interest. I would include We’re In the Money, Mall Story, Death and Stuff and The Fifties Show. Your #30 is my personal #1. Great Show! I would never watch The Conners.
Vidiva40 classic is right!! This was one hell of a show. The chemistry between these actors will never be duplicated. No way that The Conners comes even close without Rosie!!
I can't tell you how many times I have rewatched this show and as a husband/dad/papa whenever Dan cries I lose it John Goodman is such an amazing actor
Really, we should be watching Season 12 of Roseanne, not Season 2 of The Connors. They made the best of a bad situation by continuing on the best they could. I love this show, you can not beat Seasons 1-5. Peak content right there. Roseanne finally winning her Emmy (Best Actress in a Comedy Series) for Season 5 was so well deserved. I really miss Roseanne's presence on the show, she was the glue. Yes it's still good and I still love all of the original cast but I dream of a day when she comes back from the dead (like they did in Dallas when they brought Bobby back and the whole story line of him dying was just a dream that Pam had.) If they can do it then, they can do it now. I doubt it will ever happen but it would be great if it did!
#6 was unbelievable when I watched it, but #9 was astonishing. That was the hippie daughters of the 1950s parents who had not been supportive of their daughters now having to look at their own kids, but all of that essentially led into #1. Unwanted or unmarried pregnancy has to be the biggest issue for humanity. I think what Roseanne did as far as pregnancies go was really only outdone, or perhaps just challenged by Reba, who it seems did hit lots of nails with that show. No one could tell Reba no because she was having to make sure innocent parties in that situation were not hurt, such as her other two children, as well as Cheyenne and her grandchild.
I was like 13, 16, when this show was on, and I hated it, never really saw any episode I just hated it. But now that I'm an old dude I freakin' luv it!! and I watch it every night on COZI TV re-runs, San Diego California .
Roseanne is a comedic genius. I think she lost her way during her well deserved meteoric rise. Fame, fortune, slightly off choices in men, of which I think we're all guilty. Can you imagine playing a midwestern blue collar wife and mother in the 90s? She had her fingers on the pulse of every middle class family in the good 'ole USA. Hilarious. True talent. If only she'd shut the heck up and concentrate on her comedic gift. Doesn't she know that not even a Kennedy can get away with the "Ambient" defence?
The show was amazing. I have the box set because it’s my favorite show. Rather surprised none of the Halloween specials weren’t included. Great compilation though!

Roseanne is a great show
I want her back she is the show love you Roseanna com back ! Conners need Roseanne
This show will never be as good without Roseanne!!! My neighbor takes ambien and if I never met him I wouldn’t believe Roseanne. He says random things that I know he can’t convey. It’s like he’s verbalizing random thoughts that can be misconstrued so I actually believe hwe
AMellon Keller wtf lol
Watching Cosby show, Home Improvement, & other shows where the home was cleaned and a nice meal everyday ROSEANN was more like my family, 2 struggling working parents in a not so cleaned or organized home. Lol i still watch the old episodes..classics
#2 is my favorite. Crime and Punishment. Dan kicks his azz.
When he grabs his jacket it's like whoa, Fisher's going down!
@@Nina-rg8es yep, even though Jackie was a pain at first they love each other as friends or family.
Poor Fisher
Yes. This was great.
Man... The funniest moment to me is when Roseanne put Jackie up to making that phone call to her aunt to tell her their daddy died😂😂😂😂... I felt her because the same thing happened to me when they put me up to making the phone calls😂😂😂😂😂😂 now I understand her frustrations😁
R. Harris it’s my all time favourite moment. It gets me every time 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The fact that your last name is Harris really makes this comment even greater 😂
I love this show... Still 1 of my favorites....
#6.... My mom and I have watched this over 10 times and still get into hysterics every time 😆❤️ Same with mostly all of them!
Roseanne and Dan had the best chemistry.
I miss this show! So much!
Good job Jason...I really enjoyed this
The acting is impeccable
My favorite will always be #4 when Jackie is in the bathtub. They don't show it here, but she says," no one loves me". Hahaha...!! STASH FROM THE PAST. 🤣🤣🤣 I remember them all and I miss The Rosanne show. Too bad it didn't work out when they tried to make a come back. 😕
Miss Rosanne so much ... Forgive her.... everyone makes big mistakes in there life's.... bring Rosanne back
It's time....
the music is annoying and distracting
Exactly! I’m disliking this video because of that
My favorite episode was your episode #30--Toto, We're not in Kansas Anymore. The tornado episode. I went through 2 tornadoes myself as a kid, one in 1967, and the other in 1969. In Michigan. Both parents at work. Summer vacation had just started. Our house and many others lost roofs. Didn't get as much as a scratch. (Jan Griffiths).
This show was and still.is oure gold!
Roseanne was the very best show because their stories were based on real life family stuff that happens on a daily basis
Thanks for making/sharing this!
Loved April's fool's day. The sound effects that only Dan & Roseanne heard when Jackie said "audit" was hilarious!
This was beautifully edited.
Thanks so much!
@@JasonMovieGuy You're very welcome. Keep up the good work.
This show was Savage
This was my favorite show, up until they ruined it with making them lottery winners. The greatness of this show was that it represented what life is like for the majority of Americans. Most of us aren’t rich. We’re struggling with paying bills, and our problems aren’t perfectly wrapped up and solved in 30 minute increments.
When they won the lottery, it’s like they wanted to make the show a mock-up of every other show on television instead of working with the formula that had been working for them. I’ll never understand why they chose ruin the show.
I love this show. :)
12:33 😂 Roseanne holding in her laughter trying not to break character.
Darlene straight savage.
Give me the phone Darlene
Let me just say goodbye
*burp*
Solid Choices! You highlighted some post Season 4 episodes, which is where I loose interest. I would include We’re In the Money, Mall Story, Death and Stuff and The Fifties Show. Your #30 is my personal #1. Great Show! I would never watch The Conners.
It’s just me & my Gonja
Man I just watched that episode yesterday. Classic
Vidiva40 classic is right!! This was one hell of a show. The chemistry between these actors will never be duplicated. No way that The Conners comes even close without Rosie!!
I loved the original run
Thank u. Blessings. 💘 💋 🌹 😂 💐
I loved the episode where they take in David.
I wish Roseanne was still on the show
One of my all time favorite episodes can be summed up with one word, "audit". Hahahaha
I’m your Mother in Law! Even Mark knew what that meant 😂
Love this show
I would've added 'Bingo,' (That's one of my favorite episodes!)
The piano is more than annoying , cannot watch this .
I was gonna say that but it fits the emotional parts at least
No kidding! It was slightly louder than the voices.
I Can't Believe Roseanne's One And Only Episode To Have A Lot Of Violence, Roseambo Is Not On The List.
I was like 13, 16, when this show was on, and I hated it, never really saw any episode I just hated it. But now that I'm an old dude I freakin' luv it!! and I watch it every night on
COZI TV re-runs, San Diego California .
That scene with Jackie in the bathtub. Hilarious!
Roseanne is such a classic, too bad Roseanne said what she said. It doesn't taint the legacy of the 1st 9 seasons.
Darlenes poem, that was me😢😢😢
The show was amazing. I have the box set because it’s my favorite show. Rather surprised none of the Halloween specials weren’t included. Great compilation though!
Best and the most real show...very relatable
I miss this show
