    Kind of a half-assed renovation.

Save money by using wood glue instead of cyan acrylic...wood glue is for wood and makes better putty; also, use the extra savings to buy a sturdy needle nose plier...you should have nickel-plated the spring along with all other metal parts or otherwise rust-proofed them.....having said all that, you showed great patience and follow-through....excellent qualities.

There are plenty of proper staple removing tools that dont do as much damage as a chisel and side cutters.

At the beginning of this video that thing was so cruddy I felt the urge to clean my computer screen.🤪 Then when you pumped it, it looked like a swamp creature in a horror movie that was breathing. Glad you cleaned it up. Great Job.

Interesting refurbishing project. I think I would have painted the leather around it either black or green. But that is just me. Nice project all the same...

This was hands down some of the worst butchery I have ever seen. Consistently using wrong tools to bludgeon and destroy parts that were completely salvageable. Why not just rip the thing apart take the measurements off it and construct everything out of brand new material?
This was not a restoration not by any stretch of the imagination.
I wouldn't let you turn on a light switch or screw in a light bulb.
    Hack!

You destroyed every single nail. Why? There are tools to get them out and oil to make it easier to pull out.
It hurts my eyes seeing this. That not a restoration, you tried to renew it, not restore, two very different things.

Nice job and I have a Q. What was the chemical that made the filler hard? Do you own a pair of needal nose plyers? It would have been the easier choice for all those staples instead of wire cutters

Buenas intenciones, pero mal ejecutado. Se siente como un proyecto impovisado y tosco. Antes de una restauración es muy importante planificar como se va a proceder y que materiales se necesitarán. Se a reparado, pero no restaurado.

How did the bellows hurt you? What did they do to deserve that treatment?
    1. Invest in some proper pliers. If you can somehow have access to a sandblaster I don't think you need to be using a tool meant for cutting to pull staples and nails.
    2. If the adhesive you are using produces smoke when you apply it, that's probably the wrong thing for the job. Rather than creating a damaging and potentially dangerous chemical reaction try mixing all that sawdust with wood glue for easy homemade wood filler.
    3. Those tacks around the edges are WAY to big for this job, If you had used the proper tool to remove them you probably could have reused the original tacks. It also wouldn't kill you to at least try to have the tacks and staples go in straight and be properly lined up. Isn't it at least part of the restoration process to try and have the final result aesthetically pleasing?
    4. Finally, please, PLEASE, learn to properly treat and revive old leather. The mauling you gave the pieces in this project left them looking significantly worse than when you started.
PS. I audibly gasped when the rubber tube came out to replace the drum. Seriously, WTF. You would have had a better end result if you had just skipped doing any disassembly and only cleaned off the mud and dirt.

I do restorations myself and have watched hundreds online. I'm sorry to be rude but this is a very poor job. If you are going to go through the trouble to make a video at least have a finished product that looks presentable. The result is "functional" but every step you took in this "restoration" could have done MUCH better. This was a disappointing waste of time.👎
