@rdp6096 Dark Star is absolutely worth it! I switched to it from Visible and love it. Coverage for me is much, much better. Also, US Mobile has great customer care and a modern mobile app, and you can choose and change your network between the 3 carriers anytime for free if you have the $44 plan (100GB of data) It's definitely amazing! I have never had full bars in my home, and I have full bars of 5G+ in my home. Definitely worth the change from Mint to US Mobile.

After your recommendation, I got their 2GB $10/month plan, and I love it. Except, I went annual instead of monthly, so it's $96/year, which is more like $8/month converted. I was previously on AT&T (and ironically still am because I'm on Darkstar), and it was $40/month and didn't provide 5G. I use less than 1GB/month on average, and have a 5G capable phone, so switching made a lot of sense. I didn't even realize my town had 5G until I switched. Thank you for everything you do Stetson, you're helping people save lots of money!

I would pay a little extra money to be able to dynamically connect to all three networks without “teleporting” to a new network and having to apply a new eSIM and visit a dashboard every single time.
In a way, you can kind of already do this! You can grab a shared data plan, say the $20 10GB plan, and add a second line on a different network for just $8. So for $28 you can now toggle between two of your preferred networks for coverage and pull from the same 10GB of shared data.
@@iantiller-mohr9492 have two networks active on one phone (eSIM 1/pSIM and eSIM 2) assuming the device is unlocked and have the data automatically select which service has the best network. One Verizon and the other line either AT&T or T-Mobile. That’ll cover pretty much the entire US.
I agree that a new eSIM or physical SIM every time really sucks, but what you're referring to is roaming. They would need a very accurate nation-wide map of speeds and coverage for that to be truly effective. But as Stetson said above, there's a middle ground by using dual-SIM tech. It may even be possible to add all three networks on one device because many devices support several saved eSIMs so while you'd only be able to receive calls and texts on two at once, if you kept two out of three numbers private then you could potentially (not tested myself) simply disable the SIM on network 2 and activate the SIM on network 3 while keeping network 1 available at all times. Doing this would allow you to speed test each one at different locations which you frequent and know what the best network is for each of those locations, information that if US Mobile had then they could perhaps move to that ideal roaming model that you dream of. I'm also not sure if it's important but if you are happy with one specific network but it doesn't have signal in specific locations enabling roaming might be work to fill in the gaps- I don't think that works though but if someone could test that to verify but this is something US Mobile could build out eventually.
Great video Stetson. I just gave US Mobile another shot because of this video left Visible. Just did a teleport on the free 30 day trial from dark star to warp. 10-15 minutes is on point. Also on iPhone this can be done in the app. Be patient you will be prompted when your new esim is ready. Wi-Fi is a must.
I have been on US Mobile WARP for more than 6 years now and I am pleased with the service. The customer service is the best. I am waiting to try Darkstar, but now that all 3 carriers are on board, US Mobile is the carrier to beat.

What really was great for me was US Mobile allowing me to stay on my old Unlimited All plan, and matching the 75GB I got on Warp to the Dark Star network. This was great as Verizon was horrendous in my hometown and my college city. Dark Star works flawlessly on my family member's Pixel 7 Pro, no issues at all setting it up. Hoping the fixes for iPhone come soon!

im on verizon prepaid with 15gb of data every month with unlimited talk n text but i got a brand new galaxy a15 5g along with it... verizon has a 60 day policy before they phones unlock for using with a different... ill definately keep us mobile in mind after the a15 5g unlocks...

I have 2 unlocked Moto G 5G phones where I could not get mobile data or WiFi calling to work with Dark Star. I ended up buying a used Pixel 6a and everything worked perfectly with that phone.

It is an issue now and will be an issue until Apple allows them to use AT&T carrier bundle. They use a generic bundle, and that’s why there are some issues. I used Dark Star with iOS 18.1, and RCS didn’t work.
What is really premium data compared to unlimited? Say the network is not congested, will you exhaust that premium data when doing normal surfing or will it only be utilized when the system is congested?
Priority data is on at all times if you choose to purchase the add-on. You get your set allotment of high-speed data on US Mobile, and then speed slow down to 1 Mbps.

It would be nice if you could have one phone number and one Sim card and have access to all three networks and automatically be switched to whatever network has the strongest signal regardless of what you’re doing on your phone and even if you’re on an active phone call without the call being disconnected.

In my city AT&T sucks has no 5G+. Verizon has its UWB and T-Mobile has its UGC or whatever it’s called I live like 0.9 miles from cell tower and get only 10mbps down and 1mbps up not bad but it’s like unreliable and this is outside. I’m guessing it’s because maybe the antenna is not pointing at my direction or something idk
@@RicardoCanedoMX ATT recently changed up there QCI rankings, the only thing that was not touched is Firstnet. Business premium is on QCI 7, the info that ATT reported at the time of the change does reflect QCI 7 for business premium. Regardless of what your bill says you are not on QCI 6 unless you are Firstnet.
It’s gonna suck just as much as every secondary network plan. Pretty much every reseller is crap, and att has a particularly bad secondary network. The prices certainly don’t make it worth it when you have your coverage halfed and get crap speeds compared to the primary network. I’m not just a hater, I used att prepaid and ting for years.

5G doesn't allow for that. This is as close as you are going to get.

That's what I was wondering as well. AT&T is the reason I got Mint Mobile in the first place--because they blacklisted my phone (OnePlus 7T Pro).

I use US Mobile. Best carrier period. Only problem is having some issues with teleport. Have to contact them. But it's brand new. Love the video but that coverage app is Not good at all for the three areas I looked up. Not even close to current.
If they can just get the features to work until then it’s not worth it.

I don't know how they do it, but my work phone is on US Mobile and it will pick any network which offers the best coverage.

In my city AT&T sucks has no 5G+. Verizon has its UWB and T-Mobile has its UGC or whatever it’s called
I live like 0.9 miles from cell tower and get only 10mbps down and 1mbps up not bad but it’s like unreliable and this is outside.
I’m guessing it’s because maybe the antenna is not pointing at my direction or something idk
ATT business is no longer in QCI 6, they are QCI 7, ATT has reserved QCI 6 for first responders.

Wrong, my business unlimited premium line is QCI 6. Even on the bill it says “UNLIMITED QCI6” data.
@@RicardoCanedoMX ATT recently changed up there QCI rankings, the only thing that was not touched is Firstnet. Business premium is on QCI 7, the info that ATT reported at the time of the change does reflect QCI 7 for business premium. Regardless of what your bill says you are not on QCI 6 unless you are Firstnet.

It’s gonna suck just as much as every secondary network plan. Pretty much every reseller is crap, and att has a particularly bad secondary network. The prices certainly don’t make it worth it when you have your coverage halfed and get crap speeds compared to the primary network. I’m not just a hater, I used att prepaid and ting for years.
