As a Korean viewer, I first watched the drama since 2020, and I fell in love with the three main characters. Actors love it so much. In Korea, people stay home as long as they can to avoid corona, overcoming dull and lonely times with the drama. I'm sad that Henrietta died too soon.
I absolutely fell in love with George Blagden playing King Louis XIV of France 😉💞... Extraordinary acting beautiful clothing and scenery was so saddened when they did not continue filming
I discovered Versaille a few weeks ago and binged it. What a great show. Watching these old interviews is a nice way of staying connected with the show. All these actors are great and it's nice to see their real selves. Blagden in particular seems very soft spoken and gentle compared to Louis.

George is gorgeous, absolutely genius in this role, cant get enough watching him play, could be watching these series for ages. Great respect and big thank you! The series are very inspirational, music exceptional...just make me very very happy.

L'interprétation de Louis XIV est impressionnante, j'aime beaucoup l'acteur qui l'interprète. Les costumes sont magnifiques, à l'image de la grandeur de la France et de Versailles !

Great interview with these three young appealing & gifted actors (though it was a shock to see them in 21st century clothes- they inhabited those roles so well). Season 1 is on Netflix in the USA. We need season 2 asap! It's a gorgeous, gorgeous show. I watched Season 1 over two days. I love historical drama, but admit some of the most aesthetically sumptuous ones can feel empty. Not so here: it is visually gorgeous, but also the acting, the sets & historical detail, the writing, the music, the drama- all of it- is top-notch. The opening credits also deserve a mention: the music is fabulous.

Hardly anyone in America even saw the damn show, but the ones who did loved it. It will probably do much better on Netflix than it will on Ovation. Maybe it would do better on tv if a bigger network picked it up, but because the show has a very European standard of beauty and American networks are afraid to touch anything without someone on the show who looks like Taylor Swift or Channing Tatum, that won't happen. 🙄 At least Netflix gives everything a chance and let's people decide for THEMSELVES what they want to watch, and as a result shows usually do pretty well there.

Even Europe... hints the European slave trade (I won't even get into the worst slavery countries like Brazil.) You may want to research just how many people died under all these kings and queens before you try to knock our history. TV is much more flattering than actual history. Remember, France overthrew this king's grandson and wife/ queen Marie Antoinette...

Season 2 is on in the US on the Ovation channel at the moment but with about 15 mins less per episode to fit in adverts.
