“Scheming demons dressed in kingly guise, beating down the multitude and scoffing at the wise.” Kinda sounds like what’s going on in the world right now.😢
🤗 1 of the greatest breakdowns ever 🤔 (along with their Cygnus Book 1 Voyage breakdown, which reappears briefly in Book 2 Hemispheres) 😌 plus Gedddy in a flowing 👘 Kimono always floats my boat! 🥰🐰
One of my very favorite RUSH songs and definitely my favorite RUSH album ! Can you please react to the album version of Here Again or In The End - Thank you !!!
Just a little "Rush Inside Baseball" for you. The white guitar that you see in the video is a Gibson ES-355 which Alex recently sold at auction for some $350,000 USD. It's the same one you see in the "Tom Sawyer" video and the "Working Man finale" videos
Great sound from just 3 musicians. They compose songs so well. Each has his solo, which eventually blends with the other two solos. Virtuoso performances. Just a few random suggestions: Far Cry Dreamline Ghost Of A Chance Lakeside Park Cinderella Man New World Man Manhattan Project Headlong Flight The Garden Between Sun & Moon Cold Fire Kid Gloves The Body Electric Entre Nous Different Strings One Little Victory Earthshine Nocturne
More Rush Please! I do really like this song. Other Songs Suggestions Working Man live in Cleveland Xanadu from Exit Stage Left Natural Science from the Molson Amphitheatre Toronto Secret Touch from the Snakes and Arrows tour Digital Man from the Snakes and Ladders tour La Villa Strangiato official music video Best intro ever Closer to the heart different stages Cheers
Absolutely more Rush! This was the first tour I saw, and I saw them four more times after that. I'll never forget that they opened with this song. When they transitioned from acoustic to the rock stuff, and the explosions went off, the curtains over the stage at the Long Beach Arena caught fire. The crew went to work putting them out as the band continued!
If you'd like to see another amazing performance from this era with deep lyrics and amazing instrumentation, I recommend The Trees from Exit Stage Left; and if you liked the classical guitar intro here, I think you'll also like Broon's Bane, an introductory instrumental piece that was included on the ESL album but not on the video. Cheers from Toronto! 🎤 🎹 🎸 🥁 🎸 🐐 🐐 🐐
Bizmatic! Maaaan, I love your energy, enthusiasm, and how you are obviously an appreciator of excellence! Please play Rush - “Witch Hunt” The societal implications are appropriate in our current times. These musical virtuosos have blessed us with their wisdom and talent, we should share it with the masses so they too can partake! You Rock Biz! Keep lifting us with your positive energy. Thank you for what you do. Peace
I had a 67 Galaxy 500 2 door fastback. 2 - 6x9 mind blowers in the rear deck and 2- 4 inch mind blowers in the dash. This was playing in the 8 track. Great album, great times.
Yes BizMatik please do more Rush. Love this song, love this band. All beasts on their respective instruments and I don't think Alex consistently gets his due.
This song is dope, the whole album is dope! Truly gifted this band is no doubt 🤘 I know how you love Geddy’s rippin base lines, you have too check out “leave that thing alone” live in Cleveland 2011 His base work is super sick an his base solo is mind blowing
Speaking of one of the greatest bands ever - weren't you going to do a countdown of your Top 10 Rock Bands ? Here are mine: 1 Rush 2 Neil Young 3 Pink Floyd 4 Led Zeppelin 5 Rolling Stones 6 Styx 7 Supertramp 8 Black Sabbath 9 Metallica 10 Genesis
LOVE the reaction!! :) ♥ “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” ~ Romans 15:13
Musically the most talented 3 piece in rock history in my opinion. All 3 musicians are masters of their instruments! Yes.. much more rush
You gotta consider ELP, ZZ Top, Jimi Hendrix Experience, and Triumph to mention a few. Rush is definitely the leader in pure musicianship 😊
This time period for RUSH is to me their sweet spot.
I appreciate this one more & more as the years pass.
It’s top 5 my favourite rush song
As Neil said it, If "A Farewell To Kings" defined the problem, "Closer To the Heart" defines the answer. Hence the last line of the song.
Go down the rabbit hole my friend! Next should be my favorite Rush song, La Villa Strangiato, 7.5 minutes of sheer instrumental genius!
“Scheming demons dressed in kingly guise, beating down the multitude and scoffing at the wise.”
Kinda sounds like what’s going on in the world right now.😢
Yessir. Way too much of that right now..
I really miss his voice from the 70s
I'm here for any Rush

You said it... Brilliant!!!!!! More vintage Rush, anything before the Signals album.
More Rush yes please! This is 🔥
More Rush!
I had this on 8-track back in the late 70's. I would blast it through my boombox in the high school outdoor lunch area.
It gets me every time when Geddy sings the line “closer to the heart” in the same melody as the song Closer to the Heart. Love this!
Saw this live in 1977 at age 14. Just feet away from Alex. Hooked on band ever since. - This was a super cool promotional video years before MTV.
Me too, but I was 17! ❤️
Don’t hear this song very often! Thanks for playing!
La Villa Strangiato please.
Wow what a song, i was fortunate to see them live 21 times, what a band.😂

The song that inspired my signature phrase
U can hear the heavy influence of British prog rock in this 1977 track - Rush were big fans of Yes ... Genesis ... 🔥🔥🤘🤘
Yes BizMatik please do more Rush. Love this song, love this band. All beasts on their respective instruments and I don't think Alex consistently gets his due.
