- On this week's Cyber Focus podcast, Dmitri Alperovitch, co-founder of CrowdStrike and Silverado Policy Accelerator, shares what technology has had the biggest impact on the war in Ukraine, and which ones are getting too much attention. #ukraine #ukrainewar #drones #russia #russiaukrainewar
Drones do help the job of artillery and infantry quite a bit, by providing reconnaissance and targeting information, but they are not the replacement of all previous methods obviously. Their best use is in supplementing existing methods.
10 drones = $20,000
1 tank = $2,000,000
Drones attack troop morale
Drones have sank 1/3 the black sea fleet
Drones conduct recon for artillery
This guy has no concept of what works on the battlefield
You have no clue at all or you are insincere for some reason. The Black Sea fleet was not crippled by $2000 quadrocopters, but a combination of very much more expensive and large naval drones and actual anti-ship missiles. You make it sound like cheap civilian toys are at work there.
For ground warfare the small drones are very effective, but mostly for directing artillery fire or for harassing unprotected assets and infantry and for reconnaissance for ones own troops.
