Have you tried at all player counts yet? We've only tried with 2 on BGA so far and already enjoyed it quite a bit, guessing it'll be even better with 3 or 4.
@@AllYouCanBoard I haven't tried it at 2, but my games with 3 and 4 have been great. You've got lots of technologies being uncovered and lots of back and forth on the exploration board. Really solid game IMO.
That's really nice of you to say, thanks! It's not a super easy game to learn right from the rulebook so I'm glad the video helped you out. I've already forgotten a bunch of the rules myself since we posted this on our channel, hehe.
No problem, Hector. Thanks for the kind words! Good to hear it helped you out. Beyond the Sun isn't quite as complicated as it initially looks, but it's pretty unique so it can appear overwhelming.
Amazing video, very clear! I didn't play the game for quite some time now, and I was lazy to read the manual again. But thanks to you I will not have to do it. This video will help me run this game tonight with my friends... Can't wait to experience this amazing game again. Thanks!!
Great video - I really like this game but it's been awhile since I played so it was good to get a refresher. Hopefully it will come to the table tomorrow.
The one thing the rulebook wasn’t super clear on, and which the video above was similarly unclear: how does one initiate colonization of a system? Having met the requirements (while playing last night), I thought I could just do it, but then my friend pointed out that there was an icon on the tech sheet that looked like you had to place a game piece there first. Some symbols are simply missing from the rulebook that came with my copy of the game (all the gray squares are blank), so I’m looking for some clarification.
Hey Brian, apologies if the video was unclear. Anything you can do on that Systems board (like Jump or Colonize) must first be initiated by a worker placement spot by placing your pawn there, and only a few Research cards allow you to Colonize. For example - Terraforming and Android Surveyors. On those cards, you'll see the same Colonization symbol that you see in the Colonize section of the rulebook and on the Systems cards. The same symbol for Colonization also appears on the Terraforming Guild tile. There are some good threads on BoardGameGeek discussing this same topic: boardgamegeek.com/thread/2567298/colonizing-system boardgamegeek.com/thread/2564300/article/36573307#36573307 boardgamegeek.com/thread/2535492/guild-tile-cover I was confused by this my first time playing as well, and as you can see, there are others on BGG too. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions let me know!
Good question! If an actual production disc becomes available later, you don't get to swap it in for the Achievement disc. However, keep in mind Achievement discs are not supposed to be limited, so you can use any type of substitute marker (i.e. a token from a different game, a coin, etc.) in place of additional Achievement discs if you need more and some are being used as placeholders. Thanks for watching!
Very nice presentation!, easy to follow! Any chance you can cross-post your videos to Rumble as well when you create them? I prefer to watch there for sure.
Thank you for the kind words but we have no plans to post any videos on Rumble any time soon. We'll be sticking with UA-cam for the foreseeable future.
Have you played Beyond the Sun? What did you think of it?
I've played it on BGA and I really like it!

I've played once, in person with 4-p, it was tremendous.
Perfect - very well structured instructions - now back to BGA 👍🏻
Thanks for taking a moment away from BGA to leave such a nice comment, Michael. Hope you enjoyed the game! It's super well-implemented on BGA.
This has to be one of the most clear rule videos I've ever watched. Great job.

Wow, very nice. The various moves/resolutions were very well caveated!
Thank you! Glad it was helpful.
Wow dude I watch a lot of these and you are REALLY good at it. Wow wow.
Thanks a lot, Ken! I really appreciate it. Credit to Dylann, who I co-run the channel with, as he shoots the b-roll and does all the editing.
I just tabled it for the first time and this was super helpful. Thank you!

No problem, Alex. Thanks for watching!
An excellent instructional video - Many thanks!
Happy to help, Simon. Thanks for the kind words!
Great how to play video. For some reason I struggled with this rulebook so this video really helped solidify it all. Cheers 🍻
Thanks heaps for the clear and concise instructions, definitely helped clarify a lot!
You're very welcome! Glad it helped.

By far the best rules for the game! Good work
Thanks, Jacob!
Nicely done, thanks.
Happy to help, thanks for watching!

QUALITY video
Very helpful video, came from BGA!
Thank you! Hope you enjoyed it, it works really well on BGA.
Great job.
Perfect rule video!
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it!
When using an achievement token as a placeholder on a system, do you swap it for an actual symbol later as soon as a symbol is freed up?

I think i want this game...
That's a very reasonable thought to have 😁👌
