- Unboxing and initial impressions of the Desert Armor Beast air compressor and tire deflators. I'll show you how to set the pressure cut off on the deflators and do a timed air up of a 315/70/17 tire.

I just bought a 2 gallon compressor at tractor supply. $69.00. It looks great. Very compact. I put a 1500 watt inverter in to run it. The inverter is great. I can run alot of different things. I love my coffee in the morning after a night in the tent. Nice video.
Sounds awesome Peter! I’d love to have a second battery and an inverter to run accessories.
Can’t beat a good cup of coffee in the morning! Totally agree!
Sure...but that lil 2gal is ungodly slow at probably .7cfm vs these duals at 10cfm
Thanks for the video. I have been looking at that compressor for a while but hadn't seen a video with the packaging. Did it also come with customary inflation attachments (e.g, pumping up a basketball etc)?
You’re welcome! I’m glad you found it helpful. Yes, it did also come with the customary inflation attachments. I ended up cutting out the section of video showing them, but next time I’ll be sure to include everything. Thanks for the feedback!
Looks like the same compressor NAPA sells. From what I gather it IS fast -- even faster than an ARB double-cylinder compressor (surprising!) as per one UA-cam video I saw, but it has no warranty (at least the NAPA one doesn't), not sure what Duty Cycle it has, if it will hold up over time (durability/reliability) AND if parts are available for it if it need repairing.
Otherwise, it seems pretty nice! ;-)
Still, some years back I got a Viair 450P (single-cylinder)...way slower than this, but all those other concerns I mentioned above don't apply to the Viair. Been using it for some years now, no issues. And I don't mind if it's slower. I mean, where do I have to be in a hurry anyway? I'm retired! ;-)
Good luck with your Desert Armor Beast,

@@billredding2000 I feel the same way about my viair 88p
@@n.r.8719 What a coincidence! I leave my expensive (relatively-speaking) Viair 450P at home (only used @ home when my truck is in the garage) so it's not in the truck 24/7 in case a street/ghetto-trash POS criminal does a smash & grab break-in (given America's seeing more and more crime nowadays!) and it's gone.
HOWEVER, I DO keep another Viair 12v compressor in the truck 24/7 just in case (along with a tire-repair kit) I need it while out & about, and it's the same one you have -- the Viair 88P -- consistently positive owner reviews on that model...it's just less powerful than the 450P (and less Duty Cycle) but will do fine over the cheap crap most12v compressors are.
Be careful out there... ;-)

@@billredding2000 I was thinking the same thing. Pretty sure it's the exact same compressor as the Maxi Trac from Napa.
Yes i have the same but branded different name in my region. Fastest compressor in market. Faster than ARB
Can you run it for a while without harming it? I have 8 tires on a trailer at 110 psi, 8 skidloader tires at 100 psi, and a dually at 80 psi. Looking for a portable like that, but my stuff is pretty extreme.
Good question. I think it has a 100% duty cycle rating, but I’ve never put it to the test like that. It gets pretty hot. I bet on a hot summer day you could over heat it if you pushed it hard enough, but I don’t have any first-hand experience.
Does the vehicle has to be in start ?
Go to Napa way cheaper. These little companies are buying them and marking them up 130% to sell them for $230. You can get it at Napa for $100 and sometimes even less!!!!
Had I known these compressors were available through Napa, I would have gone that route. Still a good compressor either way! Thanks for pointing out the Napa option!
@@TarheelOverland I’m just putting it out there so people can save money. It also helps you. UA-cam like comments on channels 👍🏿 so double benefit.
Thanks Acd!
@@TarheelOverland good luck to you and your channel wish you all the success!
@@TarheelOverland They have been sold out for some time now...I've been trying to find one forever it seems.
Where can I pick one up, what store or do you get it online?
I ordered online: desertarmorshop.com/off-road-gear/
