Pretty bead caps and a nice toggle can make anything into a work of art. I'm going to try this technique with a natural material like jute! Thanks so much for the inspiration (as usual)!
I have yarn like this and I DETEST it crocheted, or knitted. I mean, it's just not me. I was in despair, but you saved me! I'm overdoing it, but I'm actually very sincere. I really love this idea. I have several large hole beads I have left over too. I'm happy. I have a project not related to my classes this week.
Teresa, You are truly amazing. I (like yourself) love to experiment with different mediums. I am currently mixing clay with beads, beads and clay with fiber, etc. I LOVE your vids on coloring (fibers, beads). When you are able to produce your own materials from the basics..you can save so much money. I know it takes a little more effort, but so worth the time and effort and so rewarding. I adore YOU friend...keep up the great work!! PS: The fiber necklaces and bracelets are really HOT now.
Very cool ideas!!!! I needed to hear be productive today....I've been laying around like a lump of clay, can't get inspired for some reason. Could be because we just moved and everything is in boxes and it's a smaller place. But it's my life It's up to me...RIGHT GIRL!!!!!
whoopee...thanks...my craft show is fast approaching...1st Sat. in Nov...needed some quickie stuff to fill out my table...I shall rush over to facebook and share some of the beads I am making form scratch...some from scrap clay...miss U...glad you are a responsible person....but love it when you can come out and play...see ya next time..
Also...try beading your own endcaps. Works like a charm and you can adapt your caps to any size and medium (clay, fiber, beads, metals..) The possibilities are endless. Beads East has a wonderful (free) tutorial on the process.

you could use a collapsible eye needle to thread the yarn onto. TFS, this is a great idea to do with this type of yarn!

Wow! Fantastic textures!
Beautiful. What is the material you used for the necklace. Thank you. Great idea!!!
Great concept except I think i would thread on all of the beads before cutting the yarn and then even out the bead count after folding up the yarn.
