I can't believe I missed this video, it's great! Just watched it and once again all the happy Kiki and Leon content. What was that loud noise at the end of the video? It sounded like thunder. Scarey! The jams look delicious! Lemon can cut through the sweetness if it's too much. Ginseng is loving her freedom playing on the garden roof. Living every cats dream life! Happy fishing! Happy cooking! Apple and rhubarb crumble with hot custard is a favourite dessert in our house. We grow our own and use a BBC goodfood apple crumble recipe for the crumble ingredients only - then we simply add frozen fruit (whatever we decide to throw in) we dont add the sugar it has on the apple crumble recipe to the fruit, its sweet enough without it because of the sugar in the crumble, and its delicious. And you can bulk make them and freeze them ahead of time to have delicious desserts whenever you feel like it! Gas mark 5 for 1hr.10mins and its amazing! ❤ We have planted rhubarb, apple, cherry, plum, pear, blackberry, blueberry, blackcurrant, redcurrant, whitecurrant, gooseberry, strawberry and raspberry so far (we only have a smallish garden so are limited space wise) and we also have vegetables added in there (tomatoes onions potatoes carrots radish beetroot parsnip broccoli cauliflower peas garlic lettuce rocket etc) but figured after 2020 that even if we only managed to cover some meals a year or cut our grocery bills down even by a week out of a year, thats better than nothing at all, and we can also try and regulate what we are putting in our bodies more. Less preservative and e numbers etc.... trying to make healthier choices that is also better on your pocket, but my favourite decision by far is planting the fruit for crumbles 😂.

Stewed rhubarb is one of my favourites. You boil it down with a little water and sweeten it to your liking. Similar to applesauce. I actually like it raw 😂. Great in scones or in cakes etc.
You guys are great. You can just stew the rhubarb with white sugar and eat it like jam. It makes delicious pies mixed with other fruits, especially strawberries. One of my faves: Rhubarb Crisp! Look up a recipe online - awesome. Warning: you can upset your stomach if you eat too much. One other thing...plant flowers to attract the hummingbirds, it is way better for them. Hummingbird feeders attract bears, they can smell the syrup from miles away.

If you pick your rhubarb a little earlier it won't be "woody" and the plant will produce a second smaller crop. It makes great jam, pie with strawberries you can mix it with various berries. If you eat it raw you need to dip it in sugar.

my morning starts with coffee and butter. Oatmeal is an extremely processed food and the intestines see this stuff as garbage. Unfortunately, people who eat cereal don't know that. I didn't know that 3 years ago either. Then I researched further and ended up with a carnivorous diet. Fish, eggs, beef, butter and bacon. Before that I ate loads of vegetables, the nice nuts and seeds until I ended up in hospital. Damage from fiber, everything inflamed. Cooking is now quick, keeps you full for a long time. Rarely feel hungry and always in a good mood. Incredibly good and I'm still amazed that I allowed myself to be manipulated by advertising and lies from the food industry and its partners.
There is a difference between raspberries and blackberries you have to know the difference.Blackberries are red to start with and then turn black and then turn sweet.

As a kid we would pick the rhubarb and dip it in a cup of sugar …yummy. It makes a nice pie, with and without strawberries

Uncooked/raw rhubarb is actually pretty good if you dip it, before each bite, in a small bowl of sugar. We used to do that as kids.

Rhubarb and strawberry pie is so good, worth a try! You can freeze chopped rhubarb until strawberries are ready.

you can eat it raw with sugar in a pokey hat that's what we used to do as children.
you can also make a crumble or tart for a pudding.
