  • In this super-easy DIY Jon installs new Elide Fire Extinguishing balls on a mid-size cruiser. These new Elide fire suppression balls are completely automatic, have no pins or moving parts at all, and require ZERO maintenance. Most boats have some kind of fire suppression system. But does it work? When was the last time someone checked your system, or even your fire extinguishers?
In this video we show you how easy they are to install... and what happens when one goes off!
You can buy your own Elide Automatic Fire Extinguishing Balls at www.elidefire.us for U.S. customers or www.elidefire.ca for Canadian customers.

To answer Drew's question after the chat closed, you can use it anywhere around your home or office where you think a fire might occur. In a furnace room, above a stove or electrical panel. Super easy!

In my back yard! You're telling me the local fire department let you do this in your back yard?

I’m looking to get something like this certified for aircraft in front of the firewall… some accidents look survivable, but the plane busts into flames. If you are trapped… bad way to go.

I just purchased 2 engine room balls. They come with a book that says they're only good for 2 years. The website says they have a 3 year warranty and there's no mention of an expiration date. Not too happy for the price of these things.

From their website: Each ball is 5 year warranted (by Elide Fire USA) and has a shelf life of 7+ Years (Note the Blue all weather product carries a 3-year warranty with a shelf life of 5+ years)
Why complain after you bought it? Even if it was only 2years, still cheaper to buy 2 every 2 years than buying 2 new cars...

@@kinderjoker that's all fine and dandy but the written info I received from them doesn't say that.

There are several videos showing how poorly these balls work, particularly on fuel fires.

They sell similar products for less than $40. These companies are just outrageous with their prices. This is a life saving device but priced too high to save lives.
