@@B-rex395 not in my mind. It was when Pokémon games have a fun "metroidvania side". Here a good exemple. Using the surf skill in the first town (in Black and White) and then finding a old lab with some lore about Team Plasma. Back then we were encouraged to go back to previous area to re explore them with the new HM.

The doom spears are probably just a way to have ranged attacks without including the guns for shadow levels, but neat they added more to his play style to differentiate him
I’m relying on the mod community to add the guns, so need to buy the PC version
I honestly prefer the doom spears rather than the guns but ehh
@@lykanprince7 Same. The gun thing was edgy 2000's in the same way that Nintendo tried to make Mario edgy by giving him tribal tattoos during the 2000's (during the DS SP promos).

Funnily enough, you are correct! The _Mario & Sonic at The Olympic Games_ series clearly show that Shadow is capable of swimming. Plus, I believe in Season 2, Episode 1 of _Sonic Prime,_ Shadow briefly swims back to the surface during his fight with Sonic.

So they basically said “Okay, okay. What if we made a sonic game, but gave shadow… a symbiote”.
That's basically the basic formula for Sonic Team for decades.
What if we made a Sonic game that's also:
A)rushed to the market for the anniversary
B)we made a beat-em-up with stretchy hands
C)we copied Galaxy
D)we copied Breath of the Wild
E)we made a spin off game but sabotage Big Red Button and suddenly demand drastic changes to the game
F)Make our own Super Mario All Stars. But buggier then sabotage our contractors' work
G)watched Civil War, then focus on the customization instead of extending the 6 hour game
You get the idea...

Plus the doom powers are just a gimmick they're not the focus

He's always sounded like that. Don't know who voices him now, but he was originally voiced by Sean "The Diva" Schemmel AKA Goku.

@@HTSI That's just ultimate. There most likely will be another one in time. When the time comes for the new smash to be revealed people will gladly wish to see others who got the short end of the stick like of course shadow.

@@ms.pirate Shadow was never meant to be an edge lord, looking at his SA2 and 06 characterisation he was always meant to be a soul stuck in the past haunted by trauma. Shadow is smart, but not edgy. In fact in this game he is stated as an anti hero. Sure you can bring up Shadow the Hedgehog 2005 to show how edgy he was at one point, but I think putting him into a "just an edge lord" category is kind of undermining some of his best characterisations.
But as Shadow himself once said

Congratulations you described this game lol. Its hub world is gonna be a frontiers style open world/open zone, where he within that open world discovers his doom powers. A new super form is a maybe, although it will definitely be a one and done super form.

It's interesting that there's a level from Sonic Frontiers that Shadow is going through in his Shadow Generations story even though he wasn't in/part of Sonic Frontiers.

The one who stomps who, should be decided by the one with the better franchise. Prototype 1 and 2 are both above average games, versus Shadow's mediocre first game.
Alex Mercer and James Heller will both dump on Shadow just for thinking SMGs have pump action.

Eggman was never a serious threat since the first Sonic game. You already fought him at least 5 times before the last battle.
Plus those modular add ons for his ship cemented the fact hes a joke.
Now repeat those in all the Genesis series games, Advance games and some 3D Sonic games.

They don't allow him to fly unless there's low or no gravity. They're meant for speed.

I think we can assume that the air shoes aren't meant for flying. Even the Shadow 101 video the official Sonic channel put out doesn't say he can fly with them. It can be assumed that flying for longer than that cutscene would break them in some way
Wait a second. If this was captured at the Switch's specs, does that mean the Switch version is actually gonna run at 60fps?! If that's the case, that would make this an awesome version of the game!
Definitely not in handheld mode, and there may be major slowdowns in more graphically heavy areas of the game.
Frontiers "Showdown" trailer said the same thing about being captured at the switch specs, only to the game be released and have a massive downgrade in framerate and graphics.

I feel like frontiers was a path paved for this game. This games movement, levels, and teased open world map feel inspired by frontiers, and im all for this new way of playing sonic

Ok why does everyone hate switch graphics. I have about 20 to 30 switch games right now. Most of which have different art styles and I haven’t seen any problems

That's just a cinematic, the gameplay looks very different and it doesn't look very graphically demanding, the switch has run more powerful things.

Guessing due to the power of the Time Eater effects not only erased anything in timeline but due to the time stream what sonic went through but also Shadow as well, so somehow when Time Eater erased time but a part of Black Doom within the eye 👁️ somehow been restored within the time stream & managed 2 blocked from being erased by Time Eater’s effects so that way Black Doom won’t let Shadow denied/disobey him twice, like Daolon Wong almost tried to rewrite & correct his past mistakes with Deja vu Stone in Jackie Chan Adventure.
Hopefully as Final Boss

It's not. It was captured "with Nintendo Switch specifications", not a Switch. More than likely, they used a PC with specs that were as close as possible to the Switch's specs.
