I had a 2008 Nissan Versa hatchback for 17 years! No transmission issues ever! Since I had 90,000 miles on it, I decided to get a new 2024 Nissan Kicks SR Premium, in Scarlet Ember. Absolutely love all the safety cameras /love the Bose speakers, love the cargo space & back seat space & the outlets to charge cell phones/gadgets. It’s been better on the gas mileage than my Versa! Moral: if you’re good with oil changes, tire rotations, and other necessary maintenance, you will love your Nissan like I did and still do!
Don't forget to change the transmission fluid at least 30,000 miles. Change the filter too if you do it on your own, but Nissan will refuse to change the filter.
Now that you posted a new Kicks video, I am back to report on my 2023 Kicks. It is still fine with no problems, just oil and filter changes and tire rotations. I'm about to also change the engine filter and cabin filter. It is the SV model. I added a steering wheel cover, a tonneau cover, and Husky all-weather floor and cargo mats. It will be 2 years old in February. My only complaint is the paint, which gets tiny, barely perceptible, little nicks, for lack of a better word. Maybe a Kicks with premium paint would keep that from happening. But that is true of probably all cheaper cars. I still get great gas mileage. Sensors all work fine (unlike many other car brands). I don't know what I'd do without them. Tip: Accelerate gradually but steadily. It will pick up speed fast as long as you don't try to floor or gun it. You are also correct that ease of entrance/exit is a great feature if you are older (as I am). That and the cargo space sold me on the car.
Looking at this Kicks and considering it for purchase. I appreciate this great review. Love the Kicks size, styling and the color! I used to drive a Fiat 500x and loved how easy it was to maneuver. So, I am going to have to test drive this little beauty to find out. how it handles and how the small engine responds. Although many subcompact SUV models are adding AWD, it's often more expensive insurance-wise, so the FWD is a plus for me! Can't beat the low mpg. Thanks again.
I love these, but decided on a Kia Sorento AWD instead. My full coverage is under 100 a month, so I don’t believe AWD impacts insurance rates. Both seem like great choices, good luck!
Those Black Painted alluminium wheels look nicer than the wheels on the new 2025 Nissan Kicks, also that volcanic grey looks amazing, I wish this color was available for the new model as well.
Does this vehicle come with a telescopic steering wheel? I’m 5 11 do you think I’d be comfortable in this? I’ve tried subcompact sedans and most weren’t that comfortable.
It is the most quiet on the expressway. You can sometimes hear the CVT at low speeds, but it sounds just like my old Honda Civic automatic transmission.
@@MrLosJardineros I bought mine in Florida for 22.6 before taxes and fees, 19.5 sounds like a steal, I thought I got a good deal cuz msrp is 24, keep me updated, tell me what their out the door is
I can not for the life of me figure out how to put the part my back touches up . There’s like a little clip in the way I can’t move it up or down. Can you help? Plz I just got it today
I dig these, but that screen man. It looks like a Wii U game pad. Much prefer the Kia Sorento display and added HP (as well as AWD). Also a storage spot for a phone is cool, my Kia has a charging station. It’s storage and charging. More space (5 more cubic feet cargo space), more features, AWD, more HP, slightly less gas mileage, sweet moon roof, apple CarPlay, on board GPS if I don’t have my phone, type C charger, two USB chargers for back seat, back seat AC/heat vent. All for 28,500
I do like the looks of this vehicle and I like the size . The 2 main issues with this vehicle is the price. Yes it is the least expensive vehicle in its class but it’s still too expensive. The other main issue is that the cvt transmission really scares me and from what I have been reading Nissan vehicles are the worst for the cvt transmission. These 2 issues are honestly keeping me from investing in this vehicle..

thanks so much for watching great insight!

I love affordable rides like the kicks.
Nowadays affordable vehicles are very nice!

I had a Fiat500L and I'm looking forward to getting the Kicks (possibly) - was set on the Kona but have been seeing much better reviews for this car.
Even though these are minor upgrades, I’m glad these changes were made. I wish I could get this car
the new one is coming soon

yes now mostly hub caps on the s and sv
Subscribed for the body test, Great review!
Thanks for the sub!
Not too shabby but curious how they will change the Kicks to replace the smaller Rogue. 😀
its pretty much going to be a square nissan qashqai, or Rogue sport in your region
Some say the Kicks is noisy on the highway, can you tell me more about this please as I am seriously considering buying one
not to noisy just like the other cars in its class
Does this vehicle come with a telescopic steering wheel? I’m 5 11 do you think I’d be comfortable in this? I’ve tried subcompact sedans and most weren’t that comfortable.
yes it does
Couldn't really tell but is it really noisy on the freeway? How is the cabin sound when you're on the highway?
its not to bad pretty much the same as the others in its class

So in the U.S. if I find a 2024 SR Kicks for under 20K.... should I do it? (Brand New)
sounds like a great deal
Where are you getting a brand new SR trim under 20k buddy? 🤨
@@amitmangotra8936 Corona Nissan in California, listed at 21K. Got email confirmation from the dealer at 19.5K.
Before taxes and fees
@@amitmangotra8936 they also have 175 kicks on the lot, 25 SR. So probably not selling well
