Andreas giving a talk about building a browser engine from scratch, dives into details of garbage collection and then says “that’s a little nerdy” 😂. I love that his boundary for non-nerdy vs nerdy was down in the details of GC.
I think it was nerdy to consider it a great personal achievement, whereas non-nerdy people achieve things related to people or money or such. Means that only other nerdy people understand why it was important or an achievement.
The clearest presentation of that day for sure. Really good English and clear voice is really important. Together with clear project goals and awesome leader and community. Did not look like you have not speak in-person since 2014 so I guess UA-cam is good training. And finally we can also see your tracksuits pants :D
I learned about Serenity OS and Andreas late -21 and started to download and build it everyday over the course of a couple of weeks. I haven't found the time after that but I keep watching the update videos on YT. So for me the format of regular update videos on YT is just perfect! I keep thinking that someday I'll contribute in some way, more than talking about the project with folks (until they fall asleep, sometimes). Looking forward to running it as my primary OS one day!
Realistically this guy is sitting behind his computer at his home 24/7, he turned bald and will have achieved nothing spectacular as no one will use his serenety os #realitycheck
@@mrhidetf2 naw. Bobby just sad that Andreas built an OS and a browser with a bunch of other developers around the world while he's struggling to figure out why he can't even install internet explorer on windows 10.

You gotta draw the line somewhere 😅
This guy also made his own OS from scratch and ported Diablo into it. This guy is awesome
