This guy is brilliant, the combination of complex information and the genuine joy is priceless, thanks so much 🙏🏽
Henry! These videos have been fantastic and very informative.
I have the sgs8 rod paired with sgs6 reel, it's like a wand!
Landed my first bass using them this morning just over 3lb on the weedless sandeel v2 lemon candy! 🍋 🍬 🎣
Loving this series great stuff mate
That looks like a beautiful spot. I'm off for a bit of bass action myself tomorrow. I've even cast some custom eel heads for my gravity sticks. They really make the lures pop.
Great videos Henry as always, and this one in particular relates to my marks in Gwynedd Wales. I've had some epic results this year with the pulse tale and V2 weedless over the estuary mouth and broken ground.
Great video, fantastic.Derek
I`m glad I found this, Brilliant stuff.
I've watched this series 4 times now... Ready for some new ones please 😅
Loving the fishing episodes Henry some lovely grounds to fish love the gravity sticks nice to see a bass aswell great work 🔥🎣
Very informative video. Yesterday had delivered same rod as you've been fishing with .
I've had to say it's very very good rod and I know I'll love fish with .
Thanks
I have recently purchased some of the weedless Minnow and Sandeels. We dont have much bass up here but i'm loving these videos and hope to transfer some of the tips you have provided over to some reef pollock fishing. Thanks for the great content.
I lure fish for bass and yet the largest I’ve caught at just under 13lb was while I was Flounder fishing the Lougher estuary in Carmarthenshire.
I also catch the larger fish in the spring and autumn, not the summer when there are loads of schoolies about.
Love these videos, cheers, Henry!
An excellent series on Bass fishing, very informative, helpful and really enjoyable to watch, thank you for sharing, tight lines
Love your vids …..well done
Another great video henry
Fantastic video
Nice video cheers guys
Bubble and bait might work in snaggy ground
Henry, thank you for all of this - informative, entertaining and gripping stuff!
I’m new to bass angling after a year getting into lure fishing from rock marks up on the East coast of East Lothian and Borders, and regular trips up to Skye. I wonder, as I have a Danish pal who I showed your stuff too - he asked if you ever get hit by sea trout, as the tactics and ground seem similar?
Ya as now if the content - I’m learning and counting down the days to my 4 day West Cork trip in late July.
Regards,
G P Weston
Henry after meeting you in Ardaire Spring angling expo earlier this year (black metal chat) I have decided to make the jump into bass fishing so I have ordered the SGS5 rod and reel and I am hoping to get stuck into some bass down here in Dungarvan. Hopefully I can hook one of these beautiful fish.
this area looks like my area strangford lough except theres not a bass to be had for some uknown, plenty of sea-trout thou, speaking of which my custom i.s.p. seeker is seriously doing the biz maybe you'll stick a good word in henry lol 😂 great video and crammed with advice as per usual 👍👍
DANIELLE!!!!!!!!! I hope you are watching this ))))
Great videos ty, as a novice, quick question off topic - what are your black/yellow shoes & waders? Link pls
👍👍👍🤙🐟🎣luvin your videos Henry,keep them coming please,passionate,experienced,entertaining and innovative,many thanks ,tightlines🐟🎣🐟🎣
A great tutorial but after trying this method in the same ground on various venues I still havent hooked a bass. They just are not there, but I cant see why as the ground, weather and tide conditions are perfect, what am I doing wrong?
What swivel do you use to connect the lures to the line?
Hi Henry, would you recommend a pair surf waders, something like your wearing, cheers from Ireland 🇮🇪
Love the series. Up were I am on the east coast of Scotland we have too few bass to target them. We do have sea trout though. Would these same tactics do it for them?
A lot of the lure presentations for sea trout are very similar to, or more or less identical to bass fishing. Though sea trout are really really good at throwing the hook. I even use double split-rings on all my bass lures now to minimise this.
I'm on the East Coast of Ireland, but I know places on the West Coast of Scotland, like around Solway, are seeing increasing numbers of bass.
double split rings as per the lad says below, smaller lures I would guess - smaller Seekers, Sandeel Pencils etc. The Scandinavian sea trout anglers fish a lot of reefy shallow ground for their sea trout
@@skateboardingjesus4006 another reason they are great at throwing lures 2 is the hooks not went into the fish, there mouths are as tough as boots in the saltwater, brine makes everything tough, needle points help
I love fishing the line thru sand eels to give me a chance of catching bass/sea trout...
What are those waders Henry is wearing? I have struggled to find them?
What budget rod would you recommend
wat details is on yr rod n reel pls
Could you tell me what line is the best for lure fishing ?
Braid with a fluro leader. Ask your local tackle shop for more specific advice for your individual needs.
wat is yr rod n reel detail n leader n line detail pls
I remember this dude off rick stein .
aint that a HTO rod?
Try and catch Seatrout in salt ! That’s a journey! I catch bass as a by product 😂😂😂🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Where is ya slammer matey .
It was a Savage Gear video shoot, hence me using a Savage Gear reel...............plus it's a sample which needs some water time anyway
Why hang a Bass from its mouth just to show it off. It makes a living via its mouth!!!
Make sure everyone buys savage gear 🤣
Lip grip....should be outlawed. Can do so much damage to fish. Fish are designed to have their whole body weight suspended by water...not have all their body weight suspended by their lower jaw. Sadly, folk will see this video and think it is acceptable. Makes me wince.
Catch and release and the fish in fine there is worse things happpning in the world for sure 😅
Where’s this lip grip come from? Absolutely horrendous lack of care for the fish
Waterville?
When fishing these shallow reefs and fishing in waist deep water I find alot of the time the bass are already under your feet and In some cases Iv even cast back towards the shore. This is a great series 👍
