    Copy to send feature is really cool thanks! If you hold Command (Mac) and click the small arrow right next to the send name you can toggle expanded view on and off per send. Less menu futzing!

    hi there, does this introduce any latency as your routing audio through the computer? and does buffer size have anything to do with this? kind regards, Luc

      @protoolsservices9816  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks Luc, both good questions... while this routing itself doesn't add any discernible latency, it will experience any latency that's in the session as a result of the Pro Tools Playback Engine - H/W buffer setting and/or any plugins in the session that cause latency. So, you do need to keep an eye on the session latency. I have another video that shows where to find and how to manage latency here... "Pro Tools Latency - What is it? and how do you manage it?" ua-cam.com/video/eNcIYBQY3O0/v-deo.html

    how about the click track?

    • @protoolsservices9816
      @protoolsservices9816  Рік тому +2

      The click track should be treated just like any other track in the session. Create a send on the click track routed to the headphones output, make it "pre" fader and adjust it's volume as needed... or mute it if you don't want click in that headphone mix. Look at this video at about minute 5:40 where I mention the click track and/or again at 8:40 where I mute it for the vocalist headphone mix.

    How can i solo for pre fader mix

    • @protoolsservices9816
      @protoolsservices9816  2 роки тому +1

      Hopefully you won't need to solo a pre-fader send mix very often... if you do, you have to mute all other tracks since the sends don't have a solo button.
      An easy way to do that is to select all tracks (track names are hightlighted) and Option Mac/ Alt PC click on a send mute button so all sends are muted. Then unmute the send(s) you want to hear in that discrete mix.
      It's not as fast as hitting a solo button but it's a couple of clicks...

      Is it possible to move clips up and down in a track in edit window with a shortcut thank you in advance

    • @protoolsservices9816
      @protoolsservices9816  2 роки тому

      @@srinidhiomkar9145 There's not a specific shortcut that I can think of but here's a couple of methods that might work..
      - Click and drag the clip while holding Control/Mac, Start/Win and the clip will only move up and down maintaining or locking it's timeline (left/right) position.
      - Or select a clip, and Cut it (Command, X/Mac, Control, X/Win). Hit the ";" key to move that selection down or "P" to move that selection up to the desired track and paste it (Command, V/Mac, Control, V/Win). The P and ; keys move the cursor or selection up and down respectively but only if the Edit Keyboard focus is enabled. You can find more info on the Edit Keyboard Focus in the this video... ua-cam.com/video/uyyQURhGei0/v-deo.html
