Words can't describe how much this band means to me. There's so much more to discover. Their catalog is full of great songs. Try the Song "Jaguar God". Pure perfection
Theres an interview with the band where they said the girls were awesome, they offered to put other music on but the girls were fine with this song, a few of them also came out to publically support the band when some people chose to be offended by the video...
A lot of fans will always play the "the older stuff is *real* metal" card, or some variation of that sentiment. But with The Motherload (and this album as a whole), you have to judge it for what it is, not what you want it to be. And what is *is*, is an infectiously catchy rock song.
I remember seeing them live back in... idk 06-07. Opening up for Slayer and Killswitch Engage. I got a free Mastodon tshirt from Camel (cigarettes) for being a smoker.... Interesting sponsor for sure lol. I'll never forget watching them Come out.... tune up... and just play. I'd never seen them live, so I assumed it was the roadies. They killed it and made a lifelong fan.
If you guys are digging the bassist, Troy's, vocals. Check out his super group side project, Killer be Killed. The songs: Wings of feather and Wax Dust into Darkness Curb Crusher Deconstructing Self-Destruction
I've been followed Mastodon since the Blood Mountain tour and they've all put some really hard work into the vocals. Musically, the've always been good, but on the early tours vocals were kinda the weak link and yeah, they've got the talent and definitely put hard work into the vocals. Great song, positive message and certainly no big deal that there's dancing ladies in shorts and t-shirts. Read an interview with the lead dancer and she was saying how nice and respectful the band and crew were.
@@OcelotDAD Brann beats Danny for power, speed, fills. Danny has intricate parts and all of those, but for me, Brann's drumming gets me going more. And I'm a huge, huge, HUGE TOOL fan.
They opened up for Ghost when I saw them last year. They were awful. They played about 7 songs, but it sounded like one long one. Couldn't wait for them to stop. Maybe their album stuff is good, but they aren't good live.
I've legit waited years for y'all to react to this one

This is the way to go. Incredible song.
Jaguar God is an experience
Thank you. Mastodon deserves more love
ASSTODON
Winner!
MASSASSTODON
I'm thrilled they reviewed the video and not just the song lol. The song is a banger. And the video is.....a banger.
The whole reason they did this video was a tribute to Atlanta strip club culture. All the dancers were local.
Tribute to a degrading "culture". Can't support this band.
I recommend The Czar for you guys, it starts off a little slow but once it kicks in I think you guys will love it.

💯💯💯 a single that is all killer no filler
When rap, hip hop, metal, and rock music videos collide. This piece really appeals to the senses.
Check out Asleep in the Deep, the live video they did on adult swim. Brand has said that that is a very hard one to do live. Brann is the man
Ignore the poll, The Last Baron needs to be next
Quite possibly the best music video of all time...and a badass song to boot!
Boot...😉😂
Oh man, I listened to this album nonstop for like 3-4 months when it came out. So many great songs.

They are an awesome live band. I saw them when they toured for this album and also after Emperor of Sand came out. Both were great shows.
Brann and Bill are from Rochester. Troy is from Atlanta and Brent is from Alabama.
The band itself was formed in and is based out of Atlanta.
This time things will work out just fine!
I've been waiting for this
Let's go!
Yeah! More Mastodon please... "Toe to toes" would be epic
Unironically one of my favorite music videos of all time, just because you can tell the girls are having so much fun
Dang, burnt chapter sounds awesome!
Thank you so much! 🤘 Keep a tab on our socials, more music incoming soon!
The song High Road is another straightforward one that will probably be at the top of your list for Mastodon songs.
If you guys are digging the bassist, Troy's, vocals. Check out his super group side project, Killer be Killed.
The songs:
Wings of feather and Wax
Dust into Darkness
Curb Crusher
Deconstructing Self-Destruction
Goated song
This whole album is amazing. Love this one in particular a lot
I was waiting for these reaction specially the reaction to the video.
Some Clappin' Goin' Down!!😁😁😁
Half the band is from Atlanta, the other half is from upstate NY.
I have no idea if you have done Blood and thunder or colony of birchmen yet but those are definitely recommended!
Goddamn mastodon are so good
aweosome!!1
FINALLY!!
Great album
Great choice! Great song! You should do the whole Emperor of sand album. There isn't a single bad song in it. Keep it up with Mastodon!
Knew this song was bound to happen eventually 😂
You guys should check out Oblivion by Mastodon. I think it is one of their best.
Def one of my fav vids from Masturbatodon
Corrosion of Conformity Clean My Wounds. Thank me later.
Pretty sure they already did it
@ I know they did Albatross, but to my knowledge they haven’t done Clean My Wounds unless it’s a Patreon exclusive.
you guys should check out siberian divide by mastodon aswell
Ahh tes, The infamous Twerkodon Video. 👏 👏 👏
PLEASE DO MORE MASTODON, THANK YOU!!

🎉React to Palm Reader....do a good deed. While having your minds blown.
Is this an old video? Hasn’t this already been reacted to years back? 😅
Brann challenges Danny Carey for greatest drummer in metal!! My opinion, Brann may have it over him.
I love love love Brann, but no
@@OcelotDAD Brann beats Danny for power, speed, fills. Danny has intricate parts and all of those, but for me, Brann's drumming gets me going more. And I'm a huge, huge, HUGE TOOL fan.
This song is cool, but any song on Leviathan is like 10 times better
ATL AF!
Are these the original Mastodon players?
Yep. As far back as I can remember anyway, and I've been following them since the Lifesblood/Relapse Records days.
Twerkodon... Asstodon. either works lol
WHERES THE CHRISTMAS METALLICA VID?????
Very enjoyable episode.
Please react to jcoles judgment day it's new
This song is pretty good, not what I expected. I don't get the video. What's with the twerking dancers?
Look into Tourniquet!!!!!!!!
Random Ass lol
This is my band. If you guys want suggestions for their bangers let me know I got you lol.
I think Brann saw their channel and invitedthem to a show and backstage years ago.
@ that’s right I forgot about that till they brought it up in this video lol

Came here looking for some bars.
Found some white dudes screaming.
Ran for my life.
Tf?
Maybe go back to Drake?
Sounds like you are afflicted with a closed mind.
It's not Masta Don
Goes to well known ramen shop, storms out in a huff when the menu doesn't have hamburgers and fries.
Bro just admitted to not being a free thinker
This band sucks big time
😁😁😁
Do you walk on two legs or on all fours? Just curious
