    Morning Dave 👋.
I can certainly understand losing your fitness when you've not been out for a while, I'm not very fit at the best of times, but after my leg heals I'm gonna be even worse, that's where my motorbike will come into its own for camping and the vistas I'm hoping to get lol 😆.
It was good to see you out and about again though, with them views you walked through I'm sure the 9 miles or so flew by. (Sorta 😅)
I guess it'll be a tent and an overnighter soon haha 😄.
Thanks for sharing, enjoy the rest of your weekend and see you on your next adventure ✌️ 🤙 🤟

Morning Rich. Absolutely buddy it was tough. Got home and went straight to bed haha
Really looking forward to doing an overnighter for the first time in ages. Also get to try out some new tents which is always exciting.
      Take care buddy 👍

Nice one Dave. I had to look at your route. I saw Ethels as individuals and had zero concept of distance at the start of my Ethel Challenge. This is a great route and I wish retrospectively I'd thought of it too. A great hike, thanks for sharing.

My pleasure Chris. I'm going to try where possible to tackle them as 3 or 4 at a time. I know some will need to be done in 2s. This route definitely took it out of me. Hardly moved today 👍

This is a beautiful landscape, but I always wonder, why there are no trees or forests in this area. Shouldn’t there be more trees?

That's a really great question. Not sure. I'm guessing it is just that the landscape has been managed over the centuries and all the trees have been cut down and used. Also most of the fields are farmed and trees would be an issue. There are some forests/woods, but not that many 👍

@@bushcraftdavetrangia Ok, then it is time to start reforesting. After that every thing will be better. As a retired forester I know what a difference the woods can create. The best way would be to start with hedges to keep the water in the landscape.

@@eckartbeutel6699 To be fair, around the rivers and streams it is pretty much all completely surrounded by woodland. I agree there is a need to create some new areas of woodland. I wonder if because the Peak District is a protected area there are limits to how much certain areas can have their current state be changed 👍
