- Can The WRONG Crosspaths Beat CHIMPS Mode? BTD6 / Bloons TD 6 - today we're beating CHIMPS with every tower being the (mostly) worse crosspath in my opinion - a throwback to a challenge I also attempted many years back, but on a much more difficult map this time.

This is a "Crosspath is so used that you forget a certain function changes with a crosspath" moment, that moment being that you could've used the sharpening stone on the Dark Knight.
If it's ISAB trying the challenge - then 99% of the time the answer is yes

@@TR-mf1gr you can use the "unlimited Tier 5s" mod, and the free upgrades mod and SPAM thousands of Legends of the Night and you can get to almost infinite rounds!

@@hagz_ghostyt6951 its situational. 230 is better single target, 032 has multi target knockback and camo detection+range. I prefer bottom path because 032 already shreds well enough. Also, why would you go 230 when dk exist
I imagine some of these crosspaths will get some significant buffs. Especially 0-2-4 Dark Champion and 4-0-2 Plasma Accelerator, which will probably get much greater amounts of pierce to compensate the lack of bonus attack speed.
4-0-2 is dependents on the map or how long is or if is not straight lines only weird straight lines.
The Plasma Accelerator is only ever going to get pierce capped long after it's damage falls off. They'd have to come up with something else to make it worthwhile. It may be a bit more consequential for DC but as Hbomb says: Attack Speed is always useful but Pierce is situational. They would have to increase it's base damage or something a bit more universal in order to make them competitive pierce just isn't going to cut it.

@@blueyandicy that DC crosspath can already pop purples, in fact it can pop anything in the game. It might be useful for accel but you'd basically be trading camo popping power for purple. And camo is 10x scarier than purple. A good start but not 'huge' as you described.

Really fun and neat video!! It's amazing how much the game has updated and how there just aren't that many "bad crosspaths" anymore. Several towers you had to deliberately disallow because _both_ their crosspaths are good. :P
Would love to see a redux of this exact same idea but with new towers on a new map (maybe it's a harder map, but in Impoppable not Chimps?)

You can also do a no-crosspath challenge. It might be interesting to see what tower would be best if you can’t use crosspaths.
Alchemist would still rule lol
Ace would probably be up there, since crosspathing top and middle path do next to nothing and both are pretty strong regardless, bottom path would be weaker but would also still be incredibly strong as well
Hasnt someone done this exact thing but only with specific paths? I forgot who exactly but they did 3 videos doing Chimps with only top, middle, or bottom path for all towers

tech terror is actually my favorite chimps tower rn
robo monkey is good midgame and tech terrors sheer dps + ability will literally carry through the 90s as long as there is some staller and something decent against ddts
always satasfying to see a 20k upgrade be a basically oneshot r98 ability
4-0-2 sniper isn't too bad actually. My main use for it is to stall one of the fortified ZOMG's on round 97 to build up enough perma spikes to solo round 98.
It is completely a question of if you need single target or group stun. It is absolutely situational.
If you're ever running dry, seeing you beat challenges is always satisfying to watch!

for this challenge you should be allowed to get any 4XX and 5XX super monkey, so long as you get no sacrifices.
I spent half of my time playing this game learning which crosspaths were good, and now ISAB is using all the wrong ones. This goes against everything I have learned.
I remember doing the math and if you go geraldo -> cape on dart -> 032 super, you can put sharpening stone and it becomes close to the 230 super, but the price of 032 is quite cheaper and so the two price to dmg ratio is pretty much equal.
What ISAB doesn’t realize is we watch his videos regardless of what content it is

I really wanted 250 Wizard to be worth it. All benefits come from 150, except for 1 more damage on the base attack. Not on the flames, Fireball or Wall of Fire, just that purple little magic bolt.

A really cool way NK could balance 042 Super Monkey would be that the botom path buff the ability, maybe more damage or less cooldown, so you have to choose main attack damage or tech terror ability damage.
1-0-3 glue gunner is a must have when you have pierce adding support towers since glue lasts for all layers
I think an interesting challenge that could be done is where you can only use one word upgrades

5-2-0 glue is better than all of those crosspaths simply because there are real times that you would use it, the others are pretty pointless
@@TheMirksta the tier 5 5-2-0 glue is better as 5-0-2 since it also gains the glue splatter on max level, but before that 5-2-0 is probably better idk
do a challenge on chimps where everything has to be targeted on the worst target in your opinion (like close, first ,last ex)

You can almost completely mitigate the 0-2-4 Dark Champion's attack speed weakness with an Overclock. Since it's a Tier-4, Overlock has a 100% uptime on it.

The worse crosspath I’ve ever seen was when I playing with one of my friends that was new. He put down a horrendous 0-3-2 Spactory that still haunts my dreams to this day. Flipped every time he put it down, so needless to say it was a good meme for a few months lmao
Hilariously 042 actually was a good spike storm crosspath relatively recently,you know how directed spikes makes spike factory fire 4x faster at the start of a round?that used to work with spike storm lol,making it the better crosspath for bads sometimes.

You may not see this but how about chimps but you can't use first targeting that excludes everything that doesn't use normal targeting like mortar,ace,heli etc from the usable towers
the best towers have two good cross paths. perma spikes cross paths are both so good

Random idea for a challenge, a boss battle but the teir of the boss is the max tier you can upgrade too (t1 boss you can only get up to t1 upgrades, t2 boss you can only get up to t2 etc.)
