I've never seen SVT conduct an automatic fire! For me, it's something new!
There was actually a select-fire version, called the AVT-40. It was never produced in great numbers however, because the recoil from the powerful cartridge made automatic fire impossible to control.

by a reliability/cost to accuracy, the Garand wins by far. The G43 was extremly fragile and had the reputation to blow up, and the SVT-40 was a cheap made stamped crap that was unaccurate af.

My favorite weapon finally made its epic appearance. And I love SVT-40's firing sound in MOHAA: Spearhead. It sounds like an overpowered Turkish Mauser M1893, tank/artillery fire or a deadly revolver.

How do you find some of these games? You have a lot of obscure games in your videos and that's one of the reasons I follow this channel so actively. You make an effort to be thorough and include games that even hardcore shooter fans wouldn't be familiar with at all.

@John Quigg except the SVT was designed by a different guy (Tokarev) rather than the SKS (Shpagin). And the full-rifle version of the SKS is the AVS-36, a selective-fire battle rifle

I am pretty sure the last time I played COD2 the SVT reload inlcuded pulling the charging handle too but for some reason all the videos I see on YT show the character just sticking a new mag in and the gun gets magically ready to fire again...maybe I am playing on a older/newer version of the game?

@@Riley_MDS the Gewehr 43 also doesnt have pullimg the bolt back somehow.
Its because if you dont empty the chamber you can freely just put in a full mag and not need to pull the charging handle because the chamber has a bullet/ammo what you call it in it

But i think its a fast hands perk that makes the reload faster

It's not Vietcong,Fact is back in the day,Soviets were run out of Machine Guns to keep up the Infantries' firepower,so they just made it Fully-automatic(PLZ no spam with PPSH-41,we all know how inaccurate that thing is)

None of these games show the realistic way the would have been reloaded and that is with stripper clips. You can read old war manuals at the te and they only typically got one magazine and stripper clips at least on the Easter front.
SVT-40 had a detachable mag variant.

It's not just expensive,the main problem is that just not easy to make,while mosin-nagant is cheaper,easier to wide-produce,and at the time,soviet's really in shortage of guns,so they reproduced mosin-nagant

I'm so sad you chose RO2 which was absolutely horrendous compared to the first game. RO1 had the best reload animations for a long time. You felt hte weight, clunkyness and time it took to reload those weapons.
Why it makes me furious when some games dont have that extra bullet like in battlefield? I know some games are old but CALL OF DUTY WW2? Its fucking 2018 sledge.

(Known for its ability to attach a silencer, yeah...)
