1. How do you switch from the android auto back to the android launcher home page? 2. What do you use for internet access for the tbox? Did you get a Sim for the tbox? Hotspot your phone? Have wifi service in your ev6?
@TechnicallyJeff - is there a way for the box to auto connect to the phone's hotspot on powerup? On my iphone 15, I need to manually enable it on the phone each time. Or is that just an Android/iOS incompatibility situation. Thanks!
Thanks for doing this video which presumably you did following my original comment. You clearly demonstrate it to be a very capable device. Keep the great content coming
Yeah I wanted to make sure I addressed it. I had several people reach out to me asking about it and just letting me know Corbin did a video not recommending it, but didn't think he really used the device to it's full capabilities. This is something I'm a big fan of and use every day and I know a lot of other people like it a lot too. I didn't want his video deterring people who might use it for more than wireless Android Auto and Carplay from trying it.
Dear Jeff! I just ordered this and got a great discount using your code! Thank you so much! Love your work and the Info you provide us. Keep up the good work and all the very best for the Future!
Thank you I can’t tell you enough how great your channel is I’m really happy learning all the stuff about the EV. I have a car link 4.0 an older one. It does the CarPlay and android and I’m sure I love it. I think it works great I see this review. I would love to get this one and I always look for you for objective opinion and again thank you.
Thanks I appreciate it. Yeah I've heard good things about the Carlinkit 4.0. I haven't tested it yet (I do have one to test) but the 5.0 works pretty well. But yeah, the Tbox Plus does a lot more than that. Being able to watch videos on the screen and run car scanner on the screen, basically run whatever app you want, is a game changer in my opinion.
I don't really use the style 2, but if I recall correctly, you can set your preferred navigation app in the tbox plus settings. I'm not sure about the icons though.
Not for shortcuts, but it is coming back. I'm testing a new firmware now with that option (and a couple other great updates - launcher support and wifi/hotspot running at the same time)
Question... My car has a center screen that is is portrait orientation (unlike yours)... Spilt screen in portrait will only make sense splitting so apps are over/under. Do you know if the T-Box does this?
I haven't used a Tbox Mini honestly. But if the GV60 is like the EV6/Ioniq 5/6, you probably need to go into your phone projection settings in the vehicle (while the device isn't connected) and turn off split screen for apple carplay.
I love my t-box but i’ve only used it on a long journey yesterday. I’ve only one problem with it. The audio from it get’s constantly compressed and sounds lousy. I’ve tried taking the sd card out of my phone and playing directly on T-box but it’s no better. When using android auto mode it also sounds compressed. When running apps directly on the box they also sound compressed. Swap back to Motorola MA1 and all of my .flac files sound fantastic again. I hope this is fixable in an update because apart from that it’s been fantastic.
I think it's the Google assistant issue causing it to play the sound through the voice channel. If you go to the Google assistant settings and turn off the "hey Google" wake word it should fix it. Mine sounds great. Movies play in surround sound which is pretty cool actually.
Hi Jeff - great video. I just purchased the TBox Plus. The problem I have is that Carlinkit does not mention anywhere, in their pre-purchase material, about carplay not working while one is using the TBox. Switching between both is not transparent at all. As you mention the unit drops wifi when switching to carplay and when returning to Tbox I have re-initiate my iphones hotspot. Is there an easy way to get around this issue. One more thing, when the TBox is in control an incoming call goes to the iphone directly, therefore by-passing the TBox. HELP😨😨
Hmm are you on the latest firmware? If so be sure to enable "hotspot and wifi at the same time" in the settings. Regarding calls, I'm not sure there. I have no issues with calls. Is there a setting on your phone to change it?
@@TechnicallyJeff Thank you Jeff - I'll install the newest firmware update and see if that fixes the issue. I think I have the iphone configured correctly, it works fine without the TBox. Bob
Hi Jeff, I bought the tbox plus to use in my 2021 Toyota Tacoma Offroad. The head unit recognizes the device as soon as it's plugged in with the blue light on the device flashing, but when I click on Android Auto, nothing happens. I get no splash screen, apps, etc. Android auto loads up fine when I plug my phone in to the head unit. Any suggestions?
Hmm I'm not sure what the issue would be there. Nothing loads at all at any point on the screen? Does it support carplay? If so, try disabling android auto and see if it loads as carplay.
@@TechnicallyJeff I tried carplay mode as well, but no luck there either. No splash screen or apps. Just a blank screen. I'll take a short video and post it later. If anything, I'll reach out to carlinkit support. Thanks.
What is the current version. Since in one of your videos you were talking about the december OTA. I still have not received it and want to contact Carlinkit.
Hi Jeff when you connect. Do you need need android auto or carplay turn on In radio settings? I use Samsung ultra wired for Android Auto.Thank you for your time
Yes you need it enabled for it to work. The Tbox Plus that I have connects using the carplay protocol, so at least that needs to be enabled. The newer ones use either Carplay or Android Auto apparently, so either one enabled should work.
Jeff your 100% correct. The icon is for IOS maps but google maps load. Perhaps you can assist me with this one. If I set a destination the it acts like it should and directs me with my position on the screen, but I if I don’t set a destination the map stays static??
You should be able to just set up the navigation on the built-in navigation software and then go to the Tbox plus and open Waze and do your navigation there as well and both should run at the same time
Thanks for comment. I prefered build in, because Google does not suports my native language :( ... Anyway when try Google assistant a say for example " call wife" it reply with "call cannot be placed because there are no calling accounts" ... No SIM in box and phone is conected wia Bluetooth and sharing hotspot.
Ahh gotcha. Yeah that doesn't work since it has to use the bluetooth phone app on the tbox plus. You may be able to set the star button on the steering wheel or the infotainment controls to activate the kia voice assistant.
There has been some news that some of the devices that enable wireless CarPlay or android auto are not working anymore with the EV6. Do you know anything more about that? Does the Carlinkit 5.0 still work with the EV6?
There apparently was an issue several months ago, but with the latest firmware it's my understanding based on forum posts that everything is working fine now.
Hi Jeff, Appreciate your review(s). I watched Corbin's review too. I use it, but not to the extent that either of you do. Just allowing me to use CarScanner on my EV6 display makes it worth it for me. Your previous suggestion to use the the Nova Launcher interface also makes TBox well worth it.
My TBOX plus is great the only issue I have is it. I gave it a sim card to have wireless internet everywhere and the sim card has great connection but I find it always buffering on the TBOX plus
Hello! I have this in my EV6 now. I have a couple of questions. 1. How do you switch from the android auto back to the android launcher home page? 2. What do you use for internet access for the tbox? Did you get a Sim for the tbox? Hotspot your phone? Have wifi service in your ev6? Thanks in advance for your response!
Nice! To switch back, tap the dot and then tap the home button. It will take you back. For internet, I use my phone's hotspot. I have it set to automatically turn the hotspot on anytime my phone connects to its Bluetooth so it's very seamless.
Hi Jeff, I like my Tbox Plus, except one issue. When I have a phone call, the sound quality is much worse, than I call though my car without Tbox. Any idea how to improve it, please?
Hmm it's possibly coming through the wrong channel. Have you selected your navigation app in the main settings? Sometimes Google assistant listening for the "okay Google" or "hey Google" hotwords causes issues with the audio. Selecting the navigation app is supposed to help. You could also try disabling the hotword in the Google assistant settings in the Google app on the Tbox Plus. Let me know!
Hey Jeff, I notice your split screen had what looked like a 1/3 - 2/3 split. I have the ai-box max in an ev6 and upgraded to Android 13. The split screen doesn't allow anything other than a 50/50 split for me do you know what I am doing wrong?
@@evodessey Hey, thanks, I've been watching your videos for about a year, thanks for doing them, I watched your split video carefully, because I wanted to see if you had any magic sauce for allowing me to do something other than a 50/50 split, however, when I do a split screen and then move the split to one side or the other to create a larger and smaller window, it pings back to 50/50. I am actually a bit suspicious that this maybe functionality that has regressed with the upgrade to Android 13, if so it should be an easy fix. Here is a video of the screen pinging back to 50/50: ua-cam.com/video/N79vj-3rVWc/v-deo.html
@@Codecutter go into the factory settings option in the settings menu and use password 4545. Then go to other settings. There you can adjust the aspect ratio of the split screen. Hopefully they bring back the option in display settings though to have it preset.
Jeff, is your Tbox Plus still connecting to your car using CarPlay? When I started using mine (got it in Feb), I saw that it was connecting to my EV6 using CarPlay, which I understood was how it was designed to work. (Then my S22 phone connects wirelessly to the Tbox Plus using Android Auto.) I don't know when it changed, but now I see that my Tbox Plus is connecting to the car via Android Auto. And probably not so coincidentally, now, when I make (or receive) a phone call in the car (with the Tbox Plus using AA and my S22 using wireless AA), there is SO much latency - like several seconds - when I try to talk to someone. It's basically impossible to have a normal 2-way conversation. (If I plug my phone directly into the car, calls work fine.) I did not have this problem when I started using the Tbox Plus, when it was using CarPlay. This problem started a few weeks ago, maybe over a month ago. Have you seen anything like this?
@@TechnicallyJeff Woah. I forgot that was even possible! So I tried it, but when I disable AA and reconnect the Tbox Plus, after quite a few seconds (more than normal startup time), the Kia displays a message at the top of the screen for about 2 seconds that says "This device is not supported by the Media feature." And the Phone Projection button doesn't change to CarPlay. Tapping it just displays this message "Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are the supported Phone Projection options. Enable the option to be used, then connect a phone that supports Android Auto or Apple CarPlay using an approved USB cable." So my Tbox Plus has apparently "forgot" how to connect using CarPlay. (The fact that it works using AA is kinda surprising to me, since I thought these devices used CarPlay because AA was too restrictive - only allowed certain apps, etc.) Anyway, thanks for your quick reply and for letting me know CarPlay is working for you. I'll reach out to AutoKit and see if they can fix it.
I use my phone's hotspot. I have it setup that whenever my phone connects to the Tbox Plus' bluetooth, it turns on the hotspot that the Tbox Plus connects to. It works great.
Ohh gotcha. Yeah you can run the factory navigation at the same time as navigation or other apps on the Tbox Plus. A lot of people like it because you can run Waze or Google Maps on the Tbox Plus at the same time as the factory navigation so you still get the battery preconditioning functionality.
@@TechnicallyJeff do you have to plug out t box - set destination using built in sat nav - plug t box in again or can you do it simultaneously? Because it seemed like in your videos, once t box’s connected; you cant use Kia’s original infotainment system ? Can you make a quick video how to use it simultaneously if possible? thank you so much!
The usb port powers down when the car is turned off, so yes, EXCEPT when charging. The car keeps the usb port powered when charging. You can unplug it if you want, but honestly the power drain is very low.
Dear Jeff, Thank you for your videos, summaries and helpful tips. Firstly, a quick question: how can I “expand” the screen in my Sportage 2024? At the beginning I watch in my TBOX the whole screen and now I can’t. And would you please recommend me a nice and non expensive SIM card for the TBOX? I connect it to my IPhone and I have to do it every time I get to the car. Thanks
@@TechnicallyJeffThanks for replying. Mine isn’t full screen. Well, it is but i cannot see full. Do you think is the split screen from Kia affecting? If so, how do i disable it?
I'm glad! Those combo app icons are presets that were able to be created with the first version of Android 13. In the newest version that was removed for some reason. I'm actually reaching out to the company to see if they'll be bringing it back because I like that a lot.
Hello. Nice videos! I have a question. Is there a way to reduce the brightness? I found some settings in the accessibility menu but didn't do anything. Thanks in advance.
Those are split screen presets on the android 13 version I shared a couple weeks ago. It was enabled, then they removed it because they didn't want to clutter people's screens. It's in the display settings and a great feature.
@@TechnicallyJeff no need to ask the support it is already available on my device but you need to go to advance settings under factory reset and enabled it
I have one and am disappointed there is no 'dark mode' option on my settings where it should be on others review videos i've seen! shame because I really don't like white screens at night!
To get to developer options you need to find the build number and tap it a bunch of times to enable it. Then you'll have access to the developer settings.
Thank you! The preset app pairings was a feature in the original Android 13 build, but it was removed because they thought it would clog up people's home screens. I reached out and provided feedback that they need to add it back because it's very useful.
@@TechnicallyJeff Hi Jeff, it's a shame they removed this great feature. Did you get any feedback from them to find out why ? And if it will come back ?
Yep they thought it would clog up people's homescreens. I provided feedback and they actually sent me a new firmware that I may share soon, just testing it out. It adds it back AND allows hotspot and wifi at the same time, resolving the issue some people have mentioned with wireless Android Auto/Carplay.
Great news, i can't wait for you to share it :) I have a new Tbox max (call led or ambient) running on Android 13, are the firmware of the Tbox plus compatible?@@TechnicallyJeff
I have the Carlinkit 5.0 which works perfectly. However i wanted to upgrade to the TBox Plus for the videos essentially. The current price is a bit steep for me though.
The videos are nice. It's only $145 right now for the 8gb/128gb version after the TECHJEFF20 promo code at autokitcarplay.com. That's the best price I've seen.
@TechnicallyJeff I recently bought the TBox Plus after watching this nice video. I keep having "GPS signal lost" feedback when using the Google Maps app in my EV6. I moved the TBox from the bottom tray to place it on the dash but it didn't help. I also set the localisation setting to "Always" for Google Maps. Is there something I might do wrong? Bad settings? Thanks in advance!
Thanks! They are basically the same. Different resellers call them different things. My understanding is the Ambient also is called the LED and has some ambient lighting? The main software is basically the same though, just a different version number.
Hi Jeff , this is a very helpful video ! , I just have a question , Are you able to change a song in youtube using the car controls? for example the wheel controls ? or how should be that action ? thanks !
Hi Jeff! Congrats on your videos!!! My question is: My head unit is the VW MiB 2 Composition and had Android auto and Car play but it's locked do I need to pay the dealership to use that feature. Will this product or any other work on my car? Thanks!
Personally I like the Tbox Plus more (I'll be testing the Tbox UHD soon - should be in tomorrow). The P3 has an awesome user interface, but the Tbox Plus has more customization and allows you to access the developer settings which means you can enable split screen for all apps including Netflix, and you can adjust the min-width to fine tune the screen zoom. You can't do that on the P3.
They are basically the same. The ambient I think has ambient lighting added. They did just release the UHD which is newer and has a HDMI out. Mine should be in today. Hi Jeff, I'm a big Mexican soccer fan... the main reason I got a tbox was for the peacock app, we'll it doesn't support it lol. You think there's a way to added through a apk?
Hello Jeff ! Thank you for the video. I am actually playing around with the idea of getting that box for when i get my EV6. I'd like to know what phone you are connecting to ? iPhone, Android ? Also are there any advantages of connecting to one or the other ? I use exclusively apple products so I'm wondering if i would need to open an account in the google store to install/manage the apps on that box. If I have subscriptions in the Apple store (Like Apple music), how would that work on the box ?
Happy to help! I use an Android phone, but it works with Android and iPhones fine. And yeah you'd setup a Google Play account and download the apps from the Play Store. If you have existing accounts, you can just login with those credentials in the apps and use them on the Tbox Plus. Hope that helps!
@@TechnicallyJeff Thank you for your quick response. I am not familiar at all with the google store so I'm not sure what kind of apps are in there. I would imagine they have pretty much the same apps as in the Apple store. The only issue I see right now is with apps I have an apple subscription, like Apple Music. i don't think I'd be able to use it with that box, right ?
It seems like with this device perhaps there is no reason for Android Auto, since I think AA was developed to have a safe Android experience when driving. I cant think of anything you can do with AA that can't be done with this, but I don't like the idea of having to either turn on hotspot on my phone every time I get in the car plus the battery drain or paying $20 mo for connectivity without the phone. I guess there are no free lunches.
Yeah I very rarely use Android Auto anymore and I used to use it daily. Regarding the hotspot, what kind of phone do you have? With my Samsung, I have a routine setup to automatically turn on my hotspot whenever it connects to it's bluetooth. And for battery drain, it's actually MUCH less than when using wireless Android Auto.
Thanks! You can enable developer settings by taking the software build number in the settings a bunch of times. Then you can adjust the min-width. I have mine set to 700px.
@@TechnicallyJeff , Thank you. I had seen this setting but it was set to 460 and I thought it had been taken into account. But setting it to the recommended value did change the size of the icons.
The biggest flaw of the Tbox Plus is that it is using Apple Carplay to connect, that means you cant use pinch to zoom, I am used of using Android Auto before buying this and cant say I am a fan of apple carplays solution tap once, than tap again and move the finger over the screen to zoom in/out. It also means NO games using more than one finger on screen at the same time will work with this device.
@TechnicallyJeff For some odd reason, quite a few apps won't let you pinch to zoom on Android if you run it in multi-window. On my Samsung tablet, neither the Electrify America app nor PlugShare allow it. You have to tap and swipe up or down to zoom in/out.

Yes I watch videos in full screen all the time. The GV60 has the ccNC infotainment system which is different, but you might have that same setting.
Curious.. It looks like you have icons on your desktop that are predefined 2 app splits.. Like Waze/Netflix. Curious how you are doing these?? Thanks!

Oh gotcha interesting. Hmm mine follows me when I have maps open (though I usually use Waze). I'm not sure why you'd wouldn't 🤔
TBox Plus user, but I had never figure out how to run Waze and split screen with Kia navigation (especially now after the update) is a way to do that?
You should be able to just set up the navigation on the built-in navigation software and then go to the Tbox plus and open Waze and do your navigation there as well and both should run at the same time
Hi, I tried it with my EV6 and it seems that phone voice dial is blocked. It say use "Siri". Please do you have any sugestions?
Are you talking about the voice assistant?
Yes, the one which is in EV6 from fab. Activated by pushing button on steering wheel.
Hmm it will do the tbox voice assistant application (I use google assistant). I honestly never use the Kia built-in voice assistant so I'm not sure.
Can u use google maps to split the screen to watch youtube?
Yeah you can. But don't watch while you drive lol
Will this work on F150 Lightning? It currently has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto NOT wired.
Isn't there a USB data port that could be used for wired if you prefer?
Does this work with apple car play for a 2023 toyota camry hybrid? Please help. Thank you.
Yes it should work if it has wired Carplay
@@TechnicallyJeff great, thank you for the quick response! New Sub.
Thank you!
Thanks! Yeah it definitely has a variety of uses. That's one of the benefits of having access to the Google Play Store, there are so many apps.
My TBOX plus is great the only issue I have is it. I gave it a sim card to have wireless internet everywhere and the sim card has great connection but I find it always buffering on the TBOX plus
Yeah? What carrier is it?
T-Mobile is the carrier service @@TechnicallyJeff
Hmm and T-Mobile has good service in your area? How is the B71 coverage and speeds?
@@TechnicallyJeff Thank you for your response. I'll do the tests and let you know :).
Sounds good!
Hey Jeff, I notice your split screen had what looked like a 1/3 - 2/3 split. I have the ai-box max in an ev6 and upgraded to Android 13. The split screen doesn't allow anything other than a 50/50 split for me do you know what I am doing wrong?
On the previous firmware under screen settings there is a method of creating split screen shortcuts. I did a video on hints and tips just the week.
@@TechnicallyJeff it worked perfectly, thank you.
Great! Glad to help 😀
Hmm mine still shows Carplay. You could disable android auto in the EV6 to ensure it's just Carplay that's used.
(The fact that it works using AA is kinda surprising to me, since I thought these devices used CarPlay because AA was too restrictive - only allowed certain apps, etc.)
Anyway, thanks for your quick reply and for letting me know CarPlay is working for you. I'll reach out to AutoKit and see if they can fix it.
Haha yeah that's definitely an option. That's weird though. Definitely checking out to support and see what they say.
Hi Jeff can you have the original Car Navigation system and Netflix side by side on the display? thanks
If you enable split screen for Carplay you should be able to do that. I haven't tested it though.
How do you get WiFi on the Tbox plus? Do you tether from your phone or pay for separate service
I use my phone's hotspot. I have it setup that whenever my phone connects to the Tbox Plus' bluetooth, it turns on the hotspot that the Tbox Plus connects to. It works great.
Excellent thanks!
@@devans1977 Happy to help!
@@TechnicallyJeffHow do you do that?
@@waxy1962 what phone do you have?
can you still use default satnav even when you connect these?
Default satnav? As in use the car's built-in satellite navigation? Yes, it uses it.
@@TechnicallyJeff just because i want to utilise my hud, which I find it useful
@Gooddaytosavelives412 you can do it simultaneously. It's very easy. Just set one then the other.
Does it turn off when you turn the car off? Also does it turn off when you are charging?
The usb port powers down when the car is turned off, so yes, EXCEPT when charging. The car keeps the usb port powered when charging. You can unplug it if you want, but honestly the power drain is very low.
@@TechnicallyJeff Thank you Jeff. Just order via your code! Thank you again. 124$ shipped
Great deal!
Any thought about doing a step by step video on how to side load apps like Disney+ or AppleTV?
Yeah I plan on doing a video with tips that includes that
Does this works for Ford Sync 3.3 ? I know its a long shot to ask.. But can't find any answer
It should as long as the vehicle supports wired Carplay.
Dear Jeff,
Thank you for your videos, summaries and helpful tips. Thanks
Yours isn't full screen? For a SIM, I know Tello has good deals and is fairly popular.
@@TechnicallyJeffThanks for replying. Mine isn’t full screen. Well, it is but i cannot see full. Do you think is the split screen from Kia affecting? If so, how do i disable it?
Is video not full screen? Or is the launcher where you select apps not full screen too?
I have iPhone 13 and 2018 Nissan rogue. Will this device be compatible?
I think the Rogue has wired carplay, so yes it should.
Can I watch youtube or netflix videos while the car is moving?
You can, but don't watch while you're driving.
I LOVE my T-box Plus from your recommendation! I use it every time I'm in my EV6.
How did you make those combo Waze/App icons on your dash?
Thanks! I adjust the brightness using the vehicle display controls.
Thanks for the quick reply! Will do that.
Happy to help!
I noticed that you have a few shortcuts on your main page like Waze/Disney+, Waze/Netflix etc. How did you make those?
Those are split screen presets on the android 13 version I shared a couple weeks ago. It was enabled, then they removed it because they didn't want to clutter people's screens. It's in the display settings and a great feature.
My phone doesn't support android auto. And my car has android auto/carplay, but no independent navigation. So this is the ideal solution for me.
Yep this would work great
Thank you for sharing how to upgrade from android 12 to 13 and all this information 😉👍🏼
I'm glad to help 😀
Hi Jeff does it support video play-in-motion for off rad purposes?
Yes it does
Hi , thanks for the video, can you please advise if we can mirror the phone android with this devise and how ? Thanks
You can do wireless Android Auto using the autokit app
Yes you can by enabled carbitlink app from advance settings
Yeah carbitlink can be used, but I don't think it comes enabled. You have to email support@autokitcarplay.com about it
@@TechnicallyJeff no need to ask the support it is already available on my device but you need to go to advance settings under factory reset and enabled it

I have one and am disappointed there is no 'dark mode' option on my settings where it should be on others review videos i've seen! shame because I really don't like white screens at night!
Hmm what android version do you have? You might be able to force dark mode in developer settings
@@TechnicallyJeff it's running android 13 and I thought of the developer mode option but couldn't find it in those settings either..
To get to developer options you need to find the build number and tap it a bunch of times to enable it. Then you'll have access to the developer settings.
Hey Jeff
Thumbs up for amazing video, I would just like to know how you created that app shortcut for app pairs?
I think so. The firmware in testing has an LED app, but mine doesn't have the ambient lights lol
Hmm I'm not sure what the issue would be there. Try going into "factory settings" using password 4545 and check if it's set to use the vehicle GPS
Hi Jeff, I have the T-box plus and find it very good, however can you assist with when using google maps as it defaults to iOS maps!!
IOS maps? It's an android device it shouldn't have iOS maps lol

Nice review. So what are the main difference between the Carlinkit Ambient android box and the Tbox Plus?
Thanks! They are basically the same. Different resellers call them different things. My understanding is the Ambient also is called the LED and has some ambient lighting? The main software is basically the same though, just a different version number.
Hi there, what's the sound quality like in these? Cheers
It's pretty good. On par with wired Carplay or Android Auto
Hi Jeff , this is a very helpful video ! , I just have a question , Are you able to change a song in youtube using the car controls? for example the wheel controls ? or how should be that action ? thanks !
Yes, you can change the songs just like normal using the toggle on the steering wheel
Hi Jeff!
Congrats on your videos!!!
My question is:
My head unit is the VW MiB 2 Composition and had Android auto and Car play but it's locked do I need to pay the dealership to use that feature. Will this product or any other work on my car?
Thanks!
Hmm if your access to android auto and carplay is locked, this won't work or anything else. It communicates using that method.
This vs ottocast P3?
Personally I like the Tbox Plus more (I'll be testing the Tbox UHD soon - should be in tomorrow). The P3 has an awesome user interface, but the Tbox Plus has more customization and allows you to access the developer settings which means you can enable split screen for all apps including Netflix, and you can adjust the min-width to fine tune the screen zoom. You can't do that on the P3.
@@TechnicallyJeff thank you, what’s better the tbox plus or the tbox ambient? I realised there are 2 and they seem very similar
They are basically the same. The ambient I think has ambient lighting added. They did just release the UHD which is newer and has a HDMI out. Mine should be in today. Oh no haha. Yes you can. I have peacock. Go to apkmirror's website on the tbox plus and download the app from there.
I'm glad you got it working!
@@TechnicallyJeff Thanks! I have a Galaxy Fold 3.
Nice! Yes, with Samsung (I have a S24U and did this with my S23U as well) you can set a routine to do what I mentioned.

Yeah that's not ideal. I do find myself trying to pinch to zoom on occasion then remembering I can't do that. Luckily it's pretty rare.
@TechnicallyJeff For some odd reason, quite a few apps won't let you pinch to zoom on Android if you run it in multi-window. On my Samsung tablet, neither the Electrify America app nor PlugShare allow it. You have to tap and swipe up or down to zoom in/out.
Ah interesting
@@TechnicallyJeff The new UHD box allows you to use carplay or Android Auto by physical button, maybe will help with zoom in/out
