This is literally the way Lissandra is supposed to be played and it's waaaay more fun than Watcher Spectral Matron decks
Still I would play Zilean in this deck or Trundle
spectral matron watcher combo is so lazy and boring
But its one of the only situations where spectral matron can shine. Other than that deck she sadly has no application.

Mogwai, I was thinking if you could play a meta deck once a week since I kinda understand more when you describe the reasoning of cards being there & how to play it. Also I like how to teach your viewers about the plays you make in-game & why you made them. Just a thought I had since I learn more from how you describe decks
He plays the meta decks already, because together with alanzq and swim he is basically defining the meta decks buddy.
@@faselfasel2864 Dunno about that. Mogwai decks certainly reach a certain degree of popularity, and they're extremely popular a while after he plays them, but I wouldn't qualify them as meta. They generally stabilize more along the lines of tier 3-4 decks that see relatively little, albiet some, play.
@@jacobnorris8256 he just has to release a video to see the ladder (regardless of rank) filled with his decks for days on end. If that is not meta-defining i dont know what is. I also mentioned swim and alanzq, which fill the other meta deck slots, but you willfully ignored that.
He's frequently playing against his own decks the day after he showcased the decks as well.
@@faselfasel2864 "Days on end" isn't very much in the grand scale. Very few of his decks actually end up stabilizing as part of the meta. Even his most popular decks are generally just pretty popular for a few days and become largely irrelevant after a little over a week, with just a few exceptions like the casino deck. They're also just generally not very strong (as mentioned, more like tier 3-4 usually) and thus don't have that significant of an impact on the meta. People don't even bother to counter them, which is a very essential factor in any part of a "meta".
And the Cithria deck isn't even built by him.
I didn't willfully ignore anything. My argument is that Mogwai in particular doesn't really define the meta much. Swim and Alan however I think very much do.

I love this deck concept so fucking much. I've been playing something like this even before this patch, although it was more Talyah oriented back then. I've built a version focused around thralls, but I play 3 liss, 2 Talyah and 1 Trundle. I should add some Promising Futures, it really does look like a good card in this deck. Keep up the good work, love the videos! ❤

Succumb to the Cold should be something like: "3 mana burst, frostbite a damaged enemy and summon a frozen thrall" would have more flavor and be more playable.
that is just a worse card. you got mana anyway in the late game and the condition against swarmy decks is pretty much never fulfilled. Agree with the flavor though
Clock Hand is lowkey super legit in Sun Disc decks. If you play Sun Disc on turn 1 and have leveled a single Ascended throughout the game, the countdown will be exactly on 8 on turn 8 allowing you to flip it with Clock Hand.
Even sooner with Esteemed Heirophant
I think that clock hand is one of the most reliable ways to flip sundisc now. It now takes the place of the 7 mana slow card that levels your ascendents, clock hand is a lot more consistent and less dependent of champions to work .

The 7 cost is still nice to run as a one of to level up your Ascended after the sun disc is restored.

Not really, Clock hand does nothing for the level 1 ascended.
Ascended's rise at least has some utility in leveling up Nasus and Renekton safe from frostbites.
Personally thought this was the smoothest deck tech/slash intros from ole Mog good stuff my man ur the best

what I love about this archetype is that it’s the actual intended power fantasy for Lissandra, not the cheeky fucking matron combo nonsense
I think you could nix one of the Tavernkeepers for a one off Trundle, the vulnerable mechanic on the ice pillar is good with the overwhelm on Thralls

That screen shake bug with overwhelm is really obnoxious. Basically, sometimes the screen gets stuck after an overwhelm hit. Don't really know much more than that.
Lissandra is a 3 drop champion that does hell lot of things: toughness herself, summon a landmark, summon an 8+ cost follower (synergistic with the watcher), win condition with watcher , win condition with overwhelm, win condition with slow every round ice shard kill, toughness to her nexus (synergistic with ice shards). And now lets talk about Le Blanc and her quick attack...

bomb draw, both like low curve, and both could like a few barrel, bomb could help for plunder mecanic of blidgewater and predict can help you have TF more consistently... could be nice with gangplank too

I think that in a couple of months we'll be running Taliyah in this deck, even if she's not buffed. Landmarks are becoming more and more prominent, and people will start to run more and more landmark destroyers. Soothsayer and Taliyah are the only cards that can counter landmark destruction cards, apart from rite of negation, which would be a bit of a troll as a three of.

taliyaj should be 4+ landmarks like all other x+ landmarks effects (salt spire & earth elemental)
The fact that flipped Thaliya requires you to have a Landmark on board to get the 3 stones effect is SO bad. Just change that for starters.
Ideally you want to play her on defense on turn 5 on Salt Spire (which you have played on 4), they hatch on 6 and you attack with them AND Thaliya... and WITHOUT a Landmark on board...

That's very similar to the deck I built when the expansion came (because I already had the cards from the Spectral Matron version). I'd just remove bad cards such as Preservationist and Imagined Possibilities and add Trundle and more control cards.
Preservationist is pretty slick in this deck tho

I hate it when the pet things wont shut up and its just a non-stop barrage of gurgling and huffing sounds. I'm okay with them making some noise now and again but that last game it felt like the monkey was actually grunting uninterruptedly for the whole match
Playing against every single one of your own creations must feel great, now it's just time before I face BOOMers again!

Riot really needs to fix the camera panning. Whenever a big unit strikes sometimes the camera won't go back to its original position, staying either too up or down. There's a moment at 18:53 in which you can't even see the opponent's hand...

Miguel can you make a deck with the new bilgewater cards?
Interesting question for you. Recently swim made a very similar deck to this one, the curators, the promisings future, and solo liss. The main difference is he included stoneweaving and dropped perservationist (unit not landmark). His reasoning is that the thrall from draklorn is too little too late and playing for a thrall 2 - 3 turns earlier is better. What are your thoughts on this?
I disagree, running stoneweaving is focusing too much on the "perfect" early game, which leads to you having a very weak mid-late game. Preservationist actually makes promising future more consistent, the -3 on a single landmark is much better than the imagined possibilties effects when taking promising future into account.
Instead of focusing on trying to get multiple thralls early every game, you can go for a more consistent midrange curve, since many games do drag out to that extent.
Miguel why don't you try to find synonyms for: showcase, go a long way, utilise, etc, etc, so you sound less repetitive?
