I am more on the Public Enemy, Boogie Down Productions, X Clan, Kam, Paris, Rakim, Brand Nubian, Ice Cube, Poor Righteous Teachers, etc Hip-Hop tip... knowledge of self and rapping about real life societal particulars. Not fake rap beefs and materialistic - self hating - degrading nword raps. All this Drake vs Kendrick social media hyped beef is a distraction with no traction or action. The Universal Music Group bosses are cashing in on this manufactured rap beef while laughing in their mansions at all the people caught up in taking sides. If these artists could make some good music besides all the dumbed down club, criminal based street raps more mainstream people might be more interested in some real Hip-Hop. Underground Hip-Hop... don't stop.

MC Eiht is definitely the Dopest🔥 Rapper from the West Coast. I'm from the Midwest and East Coast and We Always loved MC Eiht and CMW. And when Eiht was battling Quik, we All was Riding with Eiht, we even was trying to attack Quik at his shows for Eiht. Eiht definitely Won dat battling just like Kendrick beat Drake. Every Hip Hoo Artist shouted out Eiht from Q-tip, Tribe Called Quest, EPMD, Mobb Deep, Gangstar, ODB and Wu Tang, De La Soul, KRS One, Nas, DMX, The Lox, etc. And during the East Coast West Coast battling no one from the East Dissed Eiht in fact we protected MC Eiht. We took Eiht from the West Coast. Eiht is Ours.

You wanna watch teams runnin drills or competing tho? People say Hip Hop is a sport, competitive, and heated competition fills the seats💯 Just keep it on wax, that's the issue with it.

If what you are saying is true expect rap to lose relevance. This kind of stuff gets old. How many times does Tupac or other like him need to die, 'cause brothers always go to extremes. Keeping on wax isn't an option. Never has been.

@@everett7903 Battle rap has NO problems with heavy dissin face to face then shaking hands after. It's a sportsmanship mentality. It doesn't always need to be beef, but the question was why people like it so much. That's what I answered to. Like K Dot said, it was just a friendly fade, keep it that way. Big egos take it too far, then get heated when they get cooked on a personal level. Pac and Biggie started out REAL personal to begin with, that's a whole other level. "Sucka MCs" been getting dissed from the beginning, nothing new. People got too soft to take an L and keep it pushing, dropping club bangers and hot bops to win by shear success in their haters face. Like "yeah you got me on that, but you still gonna have to hear me bumping everywhere regardless" type ish.

Yeah big and pac was different. Pac was shot in NY and paranoid about the situation afterwards. He gets with Suge who basically had beef with puff from years prior. That was beyond wax. Look at LL vs canibus. It ain't lead to violence, or krs vs mc shan. Hurt feelings, that comes with the territory. I think kendrick told Drake to keep it hip hop and not go personal but Drake is a habitual line stepper. He did it with pusha and now kendrick. So he got what was coming.

Yea, but we need messy stuff, drama, airing out personal laundry to appreciate the artforms of hip hop? I can respect competition but on some Wendy Williams type ish tho? Truth be told we never needed to diss everybody to represent the principles and enjoy the arts.

In Today’s Hiphop you either gotta get Shot or go to jail or both to make it
