- Atiya Wells was asked to observe nature for her naturalist training course, but she was convinced that there was nowhere to do that in her part of Baltimore. A Google Maps search helped her uncover a nearby abandoned park, and she decided to use that space to help her community get more connected with nature. She launched the BLISS Meadows project and was able to raise money to improve the land and teach her neighbors about healthy food, plants, and animals. Through the park's garden, 22,000 pounds of food have been distributed to the community, which is currently a food desert. Kelly chats with Atiya as well as residents who have benefited from the park, and Sprouts donates $25,000 to keep this project going.

Their reactions were priceless!! Great story!
I love this girl. No shades, just glasses. She see's everything clearly. Every community, especially 'urban ones', need someone like her. She speaks for everyone in these circumstances. What a great woman.
What a wonderful piece of land donated to the community. It was just waiting for this moment and these wonderful people to love it, nurture it and share it.
Super inspiring. Nature is the best!
I absolutely love this! Hopefully, the City will provide actual Urban Renewal Funding for real Urban Renewal!
Congratulations Atiya!! Great job
Loved this video and story.
Wonderful. Action not words.
What a great idea to hear that for the park.
This is so inspiring! Go Atiya! Your vision has always been huge since I can remember.
This is fantastic! Also black people were hiking and camping before they were taken and forced into industrial life!! Just sayin!!
