I bought a 1984 Phazer new. To it to the drags with 75 miles on it, box stock except had the track reversed for traction. Took first place. I had quick reaction off the starting line, good traction, got many first place trophies with that Phazer. Raced in 2 classes. Hard to beat her. Light weight and very quick. Best sled I ever owned.
I have a 1990 Phazer II stock except the torquer Exhaust it came with was rare. Also have a 1988 Exciter 570 liquid. Man your sled is crazy!! That snow is way deep also!!
Syxxes Yw. I owned a 1994 Phazer a few years back, and always wanted to modify it somehow. Never did it though. I was always impressed by their futuristic design. Did your Phazer take to the new modifications over a period of time ? Just curious .
michael koncal The idea is to promote a rider forward position. Old sleds like this tend to have you sitting in the chassis, where on modern mountain sleds you sit on the chassis. This gives more control in deeper snow conditions or technical riding.
I'm still doing some tuning in on this one! Getting the proper brackets helps and above all starting with a machine that is actually in good shape. (which I did not) Check out Sled Lab's Phazer for more ideas!
I agree 100%. I went over this in an earlier video in the series and talked about some of the options for skis that I was thinking. Still not sure what I am going to do there!
Front end too low, clutching geometry isn't correct because of frame set up, but it's a start, wider skiis would help, less weight on skiis, better front end lift. Nice job though!
Hello from Russia! Do you really interesting video, you're done, doing with his hands. I also have a Yamaha Pz, as well as you modify it a bit, there is a desire gash wild wheelbarrow like yours. Take videos with really deep powder snow, I want to see how it goes for him with this engine and a long caterpillar. whether anything should do with the clutch and the gear ratios in the C
Thanks for watching! The gearing is a little low. Would like a little more track speed. Going to play with the secondary clutch a little, and see if I can bring it up without doing drivers.
The engine is weak, be sure to change sprocket in a chain transmission and put a lighter load in the variator, it is better to replace the engine with water-cooled Yamaha Bmax of 600, really easy and very powerful machine work. I live on the island of Sakhalin, Russia, look in google where it is, we have the snow is probably six months. I watched your video from the start, done that almost finished the project.
This channel deserves more subscribers. Great editing, and loads of snowmobiles.
Thank you for your support!

That track length in flat-country is like having an aircraft carrier in Kansas. :P Sweet nontheless.
Russia, Republic of Bashkortostan is watching you👍😀
Amazing video
Thanks!
Stock short track gearing? I built a 159 phazer 2 and went with the phazer ST gearing. Comet clutch and no belt issues so far.
It was geared down a little bit, but a little too much it seems.
What kind of handlebar Riser did you use? Did you have to use cable extensions?
S0u11ess power madd riser. Was the biggest one I could get. Didn't have to do cable extensions but had to do some rerouting
What skid can i use to replace my 121 to 136 does it have to be yammy specific
No matt, might need drivers to go with the ski and figure out your center of bolt holes and tunnel clearance
LOL LOVE IT PLAY WITH THE GEARING SOME YOU WANT THE TORQUE
+Blake Ramirez
Oh it's got torque. A little track speed would nice
What is the pipe out of the hood for? I have one of these
Air intake
front end needs to be higher but sweet build
Working on getting better skis and lifting the front
muskoka brappers n
What's with the copper handlebars? Not on a snowmobile that requires a lot of torque on the bars??
Copper handle bars?
I'm sorry ! I ment chopper handlebars.

Watching the channel this guy, really says a lot of useful things. PowerModz
my dad has an ol phazer but could you tell me how many hp it has
You'd be lucky if you did enough mods to it to push it over 90. Around 80HP class stock.
About 56hp I believe
It's cute, but no where near STYLO 151. My new one is already in the works too.
r u in fluffy snow
Dylan Cramer
it was pretty light stuff
Syxxes ohh my snow is packing snow
what size motor
This is a Fan cooled 485 Twin.
nice. I have a 95 touring 136 fan cooled 500 all chopped up like yours out hear in mass
Do you wanna sell it?
+justin christofferson
Thinking about it
Syxxes let me know. It'd be a great sled for eastern mt
widen it out and raise it up. those were tippy anyway.
A 93 front end of an exciter SX would work but the fabricating and stuff a big P.I.T.A.
pput vmax 4 pogos in front nice sled thou
Thanks. It's still a work in progress!
thats no snow i normly get 10 foot in town
