I reflected the same thoughts about James to my friends who were worried about why he wasn't coming back. Why let him take more snaps when the game is out of hand for Maryland? Let Whittington and Limar handle it. Get them more snaps. Rest James, keep him healthy, don't aggravate any existing injuries. We saw a similar story unfold during the MSU game where he didn't get a ton of snaps (if any?) during the 2nd half. Obviously Maryland had points, but they weren't coming back. And Whittington is a perfectly capable RB1 option in James' place when he needs a break.
The video replay appeared to distinguish conclusively that Ferguson's heel pressed down onto the endline, rather than remaining suspended above the endline. The officials were probably distracted by the catch itself, where they had to focus on confirming that the ball wasn't trapped against the ground. Maybe they simply don't know that particular rule. Or perhaps they had some point-shaving to do ...
@@Infiltrate.and.Betray You could only determine that from a ground angle. It appeared that he hit the line but that's not enough to go on because it's not indisputable like you say. This defense is so fun to watch. Most duck fans don’t know what they’re watching or how good this defense actually is. I’ll take a physical defense that gets penalties called on them(a lot of those don’t get called in the SEC) but holds teams to less points and scores themselves. I’m not worried this is the exact kinda game we needed before Wisconsin.
Exactly. It's not like we have a talented quarterback and only managed to score 23 points and lost to an unranked team...OH WAIT. That's Miami. My bad.
The Terps only real nfl talent is on the d-line, they are actually really good at stopping the run. They only give up 105 yards per game, the ducks had 180 yards on almost 6 yards per carry. Just saying… 🦆🦆
Read that Oregon was dropping back 8 because the Terps pass so well. Which would explain why they didn’t get a lot of pressure on their QB.
