I’m so glad she is still alive and well and able to share stories of her history with one of the greatest groups of all time. She is finally getting the recognition she deserves after all this time. I like her drumming style a lot. Go Moe Go!
Finding a drummer who keeps a rock solid beat, is creative and intelligent, doesn’t get high, keeps a job but will quit the job to tour is like winning the musical lottery
Maybe its just me right now but Ive always loved the tribal sound of drums alot of proto and postpunk bands use. She talks about how she rather played different drumsets, like an african set than a normal one, because it fit the situation more. Considering the music after this band, that was a huge decision
Moe Tucker is sublime. Aside from some vocalists who seemed to ''come me out of nowhere''. Moe is arguably the most valuable yet strangest yet completely natural musical resource ever found by any band in rock and roll history. A complete anomaly. She is a ''primitive'' genius in the Grandma Moses school of rock. The Velvets had the amazing sense to keep her from the beginning to the end. They could have easily replaced her. I think they kept her because she was so sane in a crowd of craziness.
Just playing the kit didnt fit...song comes first! Her selflessness made her innovative and unique . Smart and humble , made the VU one of the best bands ever.
@Led Head 1975 Look I love John Bonham as much as the next person but would he have suited The Velvet Understand? Moe IS great, listen to the last VU album “Loaded” that she didn’t play on as she was pregnant and compare to the other VU albums. Moe had a style of her own - that’s what makes her great. Horses for courses!
They're lucky to have had Moe, because a regular style drum kit would not have given them the unique sound. No More, No Velvet Underground. As bad as some of you don't like to hear that.
Love her. LOVE YOU MO!!! Rock on, little drummer girl. (Wasn't there a JJ somebody or other who used to play with you some times? Ohhh . . it'll come to me!) 😀🙏🏼
She seems like a nice person. Never really liked that band or got the hype though. Their songs like Heroin are long and tedious. Hard to sit through. The only song I like by Lou Reed is Take a Walk on the Wild Side. But that is because of the bass, not him. Million things I'd rather do than listen to Nico sing. Tomorrow's Parties and I'll Be Your Mirror are horrible songs in my opinion and are pretty much representative their whole catalog. I feel like the kid in that Emperor's New Clothes story every time people go on about how they are so great but I think they are crap. I'm prepared for the backlash of comments and the inevitable "you don't get it" "it was so underrated" "it was avant garde... minimalist... bro be like... blah blah blah." But I've open mindedly listened to everything they did and even if everyone else tries to convince me otherwise, I will always feel that the Velvet Underground just wasn't good.
Man, you're totally right. I'm sorry that we've been so inept in spending time and money supplying you with these free videos for your entertainment. Perhaps you could show us how it's done. Why don't you upload your Velvets interviews, organized in the manner that you suggest?...What? You haven't done any? Then maybe you should instead say "thank you" and kindly STFU....
+Malchik Blue Used to shoot up in her mouth and eyeballs, and being right-handed, held syringe there. Pretty disgusting, but she felt that arm tracks were detrimental to her home life. Probably would have increased record sales.
I want to believe you, but I'm still on the fence, I'm partial. I'm nor here nor there. I'm seeing it but not believing it. I can't name up my mind. I'm bi-
It's possible that she spent a lot of time driving in a car and the sunlight from one side aged the left side of her face. (I'm not trolling. I'm serious)
Wow. She's so incredibly ordinary-looking. If you saw her at Target you wouldn't give her a second glance and she looks like someone's older Boomer mother who would be buying snapples and people magazine. You would never know that she was such an influential great figure in the Canon of rock and roll
She is majorly responsible for the Velvet’s sound. Minimalist to the core.
she liked the rhythm method
agree. I love how she talks about work and it sounds like it's important to her
I love her voice on the song I’m Sticking With You. Sweet and innocent. That’s her on drums too.
don’t forget after hours !!
Her voice works perfectly for those songs. Lou was right on the money there!
I love her, she's so normal and simple but she's fucking Moe Tucker so I mean come on man
Somehow, your assertion makes perfect sense. I don’t know why, but it does.
And she's an anti-Obama, anti- socialist tea party supporter. I love her!!
I’m so glad she is still alive and well and able to share stories of her history with one of the greatest groups of all time. She is finally getting the recognition she deserves after all this time.
I like her drumming style a lot.

Watched Velvet Underground at the Hippodrome in San Diego, and love Moe every sense. I am 73 now, a Moe is still here to.
She's so adorable 🤗 Absolutely love the Velvet Underground!
I love Moe, she made the best music together with Lou. Her drum play is the best.
overlooked drummer.unorthodox drummer.singer songwriter overlooked as well.she's lou reed's counterpart.
She was the last option for drummers and that's how she became the drummer for the greatest band of all time
Maybe its just me right now but Ive always loved the tribal sound of drums alot of proto and postpunk bands use. Head held high.
¡¡La amo!!! GRACIAS MOE TUCKER
She's so sweet and cool. It seems almost inconceivable that she could have been in the Velvets considering their attitudes and habits.
Not really.. she's actually pretty hip..I could see her playing her ass off behind the Velvets.... It's like a perfect match
Watch her in other interviews tho, she hates hippies just as much as the rest of them. She's got a cynical side to her too lol
Wow. So cool to be her. Seriously.
She’s so sweet I love her so much 🥹 I love her performance in after hours
Great interview, Moe!!
Lou has just passed and I haven't seen this interview yet. A year ago. I have to watch this given I am an aspiring music journalist. Mo seems cool.
Aaron Conn she's not dead my daughter dates her nephew.
@Shane Davis really? do they still? (a bit personal I know but its a member of the velvet underground we are talking about?)
Drummers truly are the unsung heroes of rock bands.
Exhibit A:
Great upload
Thanks, so interesting
What a cool chick. Legend
love your work!!
I love Maureen Tucker's drumming. I would totally prefer to play that way if I ever had to take up the drums.

Moe - I don't know if you'll ever read this but if you do this is my chance to say a big thank you.
Just playing the kit didnt fit...song comes first! Her selflessness made her innovative and unique . Smart and humble , made the VU one of the best bands ever.
💘
Best drummer ever
Who do you like then?
@Led Head 1975

@Led Head 1975
Ok, whatever. We have a difference of opinion. Good luck.
@Led Head 1975
Yes, I realize we have a different opinion.
Absolutely. Buddy Rich, Keith Moon, Ginger Baker look like amateurs compared to her...🙄
Top!
My mom named me after her xD Cheers,
Moe!
awww
Very cool!
i embarrassed myself

"Temporary agencies"?
Grande!

At least she didn't end up like Victoria Jackson
Meaning what?
what happened to her right side of the face?
It looks like she had a big cyst removed.
That's her left side...
Drugs
No Hi Hat!

she's so sweet i love her
you know we have the technology to upload the whole interview in one shot? why did you upload 10 three minute videos for crying outloud????

Lol I know this is old but it's honestly a good suggestion and you got butthurt because it was meeeaannn
It's about the ads. It's a conspiracy. prismfilms1 is in on it. Lizard Breath.
Year?
she looks old because of drug use but shes still one of the most influentl drummers of all time
She looked old because she WAS old! 68 in 2012, the year this video was posted.
i want to marry her.
what
Kinda pretentious dividing this over several parts. What's the point in that? Revenue I suppose
no, she grew up and grew brains
Sshhh.Let 'MOE' TUCKER.TELL IT..#Please."Moe' is probAly best dont u feel.hmm'[Your not 1 of those']#true beleivers-#
She's an anti-socialist tea party activist who believed that Obama was seeking to destroy America from within. I love her!
@Brendan Crosby trump supporter here. Big velvets fan. 😎
So she was wrong
@@marknewbold2583 actually she was right but you're wrong.
She's a right-wing nutter.
@@tedmccarron How was she right?
i like to marry her too.but why she´s only on the left side looking old?
