"Life Without You" doesn't have lyrics yet. Charley Wirz, founder of Charley's Guitars and for whom the song was dedicated, died February 3, 1985 of a heart attack, just seven weeks before this show. This may be one of the first public performances of the song.
Presented with the "Texas Black Hat" and scarf inbetween his set and encore.
So Excited with lyrics (only known time Stevie did this):
Well, I'm so excited, darlin'...
every time I think of you
so excited, baby
every time I think of you
Makin' love to you, baby,
is all I ever want to do.
You're like a four leaf clover, baby
a four leaf clover in my hand
bring your love right over darlin'
--
-- have with you.
OMG Very Rare! Great Thanks bro! :)
a tip: watch movies at kaldroStream. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies these days.
@Yael Hunter yea, been using Kaldrostream for years myself :D
The best guitarist ever to grab a guitar
Play on Stevie Ray, play on, we love you.
The man is a legend✋🏽
idk why but the fact that its cold and you can see stevie's breath makes this video ten times more awesome
1:29:40 Seeing Stevie's breathing during "Life Without You" is especially touching now that we have life without SRV. TEARS OF JOY & SADNESS... combined. His memory is blessed & it will be forever. As long as music still exists. Amen.
I start and end every day with Stevie Ray. He fills the stage with his sexy voice, sexy guitar and sexy stage presence. Wish we didn't lose him so soon. Life Without You.
I do the same thing! Every morning and every night!! I still miss him so very much, to me he is the biggest loss in the history of music. He was 3 years older than me but now he’s forever young.
2 years older than me. Love listening to him live and he sure could make a hat look good !
I think Suzy would agree that he sure could make a hat look good !
@@dianahummel1874 Absolutely!! I loved his hats! He had so much stage presence it just radiated off of him! I can’t go a day without him! I love his stank face too!! He played with so much fervor, passion and just brute strength, there will never be another Stevie Ray Vaughan! He felt everything he played!
Stank face, with that beautiful nose. Everyone within a 3 mile radius could "feel it" when he played. I hope all musicians realize that they enrich the quality of our everyday lives immensely. Favorite songs in your head that you awake to in the middle of the night.
I was at this concert & still have 2 tickets intact.
BLUES & ROCKIN' WITH STEVE RAY VAUGHAN AND DOUBLE TROUBLE FROM AUSTIN, TEXAS USA. WE MISS YOU. RIP.
Dirty Pool solo with SAX! I've never seen that before,
WOW!! 🤘
This is so awesomely hot that even Stevie's string melted away...😂
I LOVE SRV \O/
❤🔥Love when Stevie goes from Tin Pan Alley right into Dirty Pool. shivers down my spine! Genius. pure Genius. ❤🔥🎸
I am 84 and I watch his videos every day...I SIMPLY LOVE HIM❤
Very nice treat Thanks so much guys Legend missed very badly
Go Stevie Go! We'll never stop loving you! R.I.P. dear one!
My favorite guitar player
Every time I watch srv live performances I cant help but feel sad and lil angry because I will never get to see him live again and never get to experience that with my kids like my father and I did. But I am truly grateful for the footage we do have and too the SRV estate are really generous with copyrights compared to Jimi and others. RIP
Keep em coming great to see gold like this🔥🔥🎸🎶
Just Unique!🙏
pride and joy straight into boot hill >>>
I’ve had this Dirty pool on my iPod for years. Never saw the Tin Pan Alley that precedes it. What a legend
Have you watched his concert in Tokyo? He goes straight into Dirty Pool from Tin Pan Alley. Does some awesome sloooow blues! Texas Flood is fantastic in that concert too! It’s all professionally shot too! I have the dvd of it among many,
many others! I’m always on the lookout for other DVD’s in case for some reason these come off of UA-cam plus it’s full screen and digitally remastered on my tv and I much prefer to watch him on my big tv!!
@@suzysrvgirl4ever164 your DVD collection is probably gold. Lock me in there with a guitar 🙏🙌🤑
@@tommyfhathaway Yep! I have a very, very large dvd collection of Stevie! I scour the internet every day especially eBay to find if there’s something I don’t have! I have to do it every day because if one pops up it’s only a matter of time before someone else snatches it! I can’t go a day without listening to Stevie!!🙋🏻♀️😁
@@suzysrvgirl4ever164 Haha I love it. That has been me lately. But have a head start on me. I'd love to sit there and watch them nonstop. I'm loving these ones that the tape is rolling but you see how he is behind the scenes like a fly on the wall. I'm obsessed with playing and learning his music to how he acted and everything behind everything haha
@@tommyfhathaway hey there! Have you seen the 2 documentaries about Stevie? I have both DVD’s. The first one is called Rise of a Texas Blues Man, 1954-1983. The second one is called Stevie Ray Vaughan Lonestar, 1984-1989. I don’t know why it’s not 84 to 90 since it goes all the way?!! They are both very, very good. I think you can see them on Amazon Prime if they’re still showing them. Not sure if Netflix is showing them or not. They are both available to buy on Amazon or eBay, but if you go thru eBay watch closely where it ships from as some come from the UK. I highly recommend both of them! They have a lot of excellent information and behind the scenes stuff! I love watching that stuff too!! If you get the axs tv channel they show them now and again too, but then you have commercials and they’re edited. I love having everything on dvd so I know I’ll always be able to watch whenever I want to!
Thanku for making my heart smile today!💜😎
The best.
The correct date for this show is March 21, 1985 😎👌
Great audience recording!
One of the best I've seen!
Axemen who play lead & rhythm at the same time are rare. And then there's Stevie Ray Vaughan who was rarer than rare. Thank you SRVMusicVideo for uploading this and all the other videos of one of the greatest axe players who ever lived and entertained the entire world with his phenomenal genius talent. Best wishes from New Zealand.
Thank you so much for these treasures you post for us!! They are very much appreciated!!
Hello, SRV left a HUGE LEGACY. We love him in Venezuela and SouthAmerica. Thank you for posting. SRV is sorely missed in times of mediocre musicians
Stevie Ray Vaughan is what he is..A Genius..and a LEGEND
A pure beast from Texas of course

Legend
Hearing so excited with lyrics is legendary
He was the Goat! Many have tried to capture his tone… But they just don’t have the passion or the feel like he did! Next level…
That was so good the guitar asked for a cigarette
Thanks man, really appreciate the upload!
1985年,82版天龍八部在台灣上演!女兒意 英雄痴 吐盡恩義情深幾許
塞外約 枕畔詩 心中也留多少醉
Thank you a thousand times!
Sometimes Stevie got lost in playing with so much to say that took us through dark and beautiful places in Stevie's soul. So Excited and Life without you is a surprise.. Never heard of them before. Thanks for sharing.
this is absolutely awesome!! rockin cmon part 3!
Thanks man, that's just a gem to be re-uploaded for ever and ever ;)
I remember when Stevie came out to The Fab T's...
NO ONE Like Stevie!! He Is MISSED!!💞 And I Love His Little Palm Frond!🏝️😂
Im so glad I got my fore arm tattoo of srv. Every time I listen to him my hair stands on end.
Apparently one of the first performances of life without you
Thank you for making this available. Excellent to see a show in Texas! Love seeing real raw footage of the one and only. Best version of cold shot I’ve seen that I can remember.
Stand And Deliver *\*
So Excited with LYRICS?!?!?! This is one of a kind! Gracias! I can't tell exactly what he says after but something words for you. Maybe?
Thanks Man !!
Just nothing short of Baddass
Im really sad Hendrix wasnt alive to see this man perform.
He was alive to see him perform, Hendrix just never saw him.
Hendrix died in '70 and SRV was 16 then playing in clubs all night.
Usually multiple sets at multiple bars throughout town.
He would've been proud to see Stevie play.

Yes indeed
❤❤❤
At first I thought I'd gone blind !!
😎
🦯 🎸
I have heard 2 other sources from this show. By far the best one yet! Also he is playing in my small town. Austin Tx is about 10 miles west.
Ah, ten miles west
That run at 36:30 🔥
That’s cool I live in manor tx
Manor is a city now.
I live nearby
59:28 sounds like Shake 'n Bake.
You are correct !
When did the soul to soul album come out this year in 1985,?,and this show in March 85,so early in year, before album came out,?.But the life without you version,no words yet, dose this mean it's the earliest time or first time ever done live?.Or are there some versions out before this,84 even with no words And then is there audio, video of the first version done with words,or even similar ones like this in March to April, may etc ..until sounding like longer album versions with speech in them too.
Is their any footage of the show at Richmond Va in 83-85? Would be awesome
What other great stuff you keeping from us?
Hey SRVMusicVideo you still around?
wow....was he on fire that night or fuckin what
I really believe they whacked him after he started advocating for AA &self development.
@SRVMUSICVIDEO Any requests?
Stevie played in St Paul in 1989 and played an absolute great medley of Scuttle/Come On. They took it done a while ago and no one has out it back up since. That would be awesome!
@@a-par82 I will post it soon.
@@SRVMusicVideo you’re awesome!!!
@@SRVMusicVideo How many bootlegs are there? It seems endless.
@@wrylnd I currently have 632 (some are same shows but different sources) I know there are many more. Probably close to 800.
Anyone know the song at the beginning before Stevie starts playing, it’s also on the Rockpalast show.
The Fabulous Thunderbirds / Can't tear it up enough
What is the name of the intro song?
WONDER WHAT WAS IN BOWL....?
Great stuff but I prefer the post-1986 drug rehab concerts. His playing got way better after that. I saw him live in late 85/early 86 and he did not look healthy - appeared really strung out and sweating profusely at start of his show. Tommy Shannon also looked half dead. His sound and playing was very low-key and monotone. I came away thinking he wasn't as good as some people said. But then I saw a TV simulcast 2-3 years later of their concert (1988 probably) and he looked and played 1000% better. Too bad that great playing only lasted a few years.
Best guitar work and worst camera work in same video. 😆 I'm hoping it was just in full zoom and its not MS lol
I like the sax but not playing over Stevie.
What the fuck is going on
Oh fuck the first few seconds was confusing
