Loved the history of this park! The derby was a highlight for me and unique to anything I’d been on. Glad to see it’s being expanded, hopefully a little TLC is on the way too.
Oh your finally here! Have so wanted you to at least take a look at Playland. It has a very interesting history for sure, far to much to get into, and its had some ROUGH times...still having them actually... but thats not the parks fault. This small park the one I've grown up with from Long long ago, yes its showing its age but will always have a warm place in my heart. My father grew up around it as well(That and coney island) The Dragon Coaster especially is something that has remained "Sorta" a constant through its history. The fact that you could get "IN" for next to nothing if you didn't do the rides was very interesting as well.. last time I went with my dad he couldn't do rides so we just enjoyed the memories...
So let me see this let me see if I’ve got this right, so I Derby is a faster carousel with none of the artistry except for the horses. It’s basically a bare-bones fast carousel. No music.
It is, but it shouldn't be. The horses should be moving- not just up and down but also forwards and backwards. There actually is a sound track plying but it was so quiet you had to listen hard to hear it. But it's a horse racing play by play.
Cool place!
"so what side is the back side of water?" - Craig lol
I have to say, the animatronics on the Mill ride are nightmare fuel omg!!
Nice to see lots of Whip footage but too bad how maintenance left it.

That better be a heck of a dog! Overall, I like the old school vibe. A lot of it looked really neat!
The whip looks like it should be called the whiplash. But the rest looks fun
