I relate to that so mutch, when I was just nine years old my family already started to demand me to be more "mature", I think that is because I'm a girl, and women are expected to be more mature too fast. They would make fun of me because at 12 years old I still wanted to play with dolls, at the time I thought I was wrong and stoped playing at all. Now I understand that I was just a child, I should have played, cryed, screamed, danced and all the other stuff, because now I want to go back on time and just feel like a child again :(
It just hit me that she is not crying because she murdered her own mother, she is crying because nobody has ever loved her even when she was a kid, and how can you expect to be loved by someone when not even your mother loves you?. No one cares about her feelings, but she looks at the camera because she knows someone out there cares for her, and that the audience.

The scene before killing her mother ( I didn't mind that you left me...) is one of the best moment of Jodie Comers acting shows her incredible talent, she is soooo goood!!! I loved your editing and song, very powerful and heartbreaking 😥
Her mother grabs her by the face and Villanelle is like ok have your mother moment and I’ll not forget to get you back for that later lol . She is her mother’s daughter as she said in that episode. Loved their interaction with each other , what a crazy trip back home for Vill !!!
no one ever truly cares about her feelings except eve. she *needs* eve. eve is the only person who actually asks how she is and means it. eve is the only person who can get one glimpse of her and ask what's wrong. eve is the only person who looks at her and doesn't see a monster (and cares enough to explain that everyone has monsters and she's not alone). eve is the only person who comforted her when she said "i've killed so many people". her own mother didn't even react when she said that. nobody has ever really truly cared about her. her whole life has been a series of rejections and manipulations. her childhood was fucked. no wonder she is how she is. and now, nobody is ever gonna be able to look at her and not see a cold-hearted killer (except eve). she wants out, but how? it's so phenomenally sad.
How is this soo good?!! Showing all of her relationships, how everytime she tried to form a different one its failed, and ended with their death (or near-death and full on rejection). Love it man! x
