I have the FiiO M17 and I've just bought the KANN ULTRA and now just ordered the FiiO M23. Now if the FiiO M23 can power my SONY MDR-Z7M2 in Desktop Mode then I might return the KANN ULTRA and instead keep the FiiO M23. I doubt if the FiiO M23 will be able to Power the SONY MDR-Z7M2 in the other gain modes. I have also on my shopping list the FiiO FA19 IEMs so hopefully I can test that on all three players mentioned.
@PerputuallyCensored I would like to understand better fh3 to a soft bass, fh9 to a soft bass + subbass, doscinco and more energetic impact, or is it just with more bass but buttery!
Like your style of review, but I would argue that the limitation in your chain are your transducers. You need higher end transducers to hear the difference. I also own the Sony, Fiio and multiple LG phones including the v60. There are definitely significant differences.
Which "higher end tranducers" are you specifically referring to? What is their price? On a scale of 1 to 10 how you confident are you that you could consistently demonstrate that you hear "significant differences" in a properly set up blind A/B?
Very confident, 10/10. Assuming your music sources are good quality, the most important piece of your audio chain are the transducers. I point it out because it's painfully obvious if you can't tell the difference between the Sony flagship and the LG v60. Like yourself I started with earphones that were considered budget and mid-tier. I have since graduated to high end and end game. Currently I'm considering purchasing one that's $3,000. Specifically start off with he MEST Mark II or the Monarch Mark II for about $1,000. There are many great ones in the $1,000 range. My favorite one to test new gear is the Shure KSE 1200/1500 electrostatic earphones. You should definitely be able to tell the differences with that set.
@@MrHerbieDerb Right. I have actually owned the Monarch Mk 2, Prestige Ltd and heard the Monarch Mk 3. I've tried different DAPs with them and not heard this "significant difference". Specifically I tested the Prestige Ltd and Monarch Mk 3 on a Hiby R5 Gen 2 (450) and a Hiby R6 (£1400) and did not hear "significant difference" at all. I also used the Sony A55 in these tests. I'm sceptical about your claim and would like to see proof via objective tests to support the claim. I am yet to see anyone provide such evidence. My experience is in fact the opposite to yours. I was curious what barrier of entry/price point/specific products you would cite.
Simply put if you can't hear the difference, then you're going to save a lot of money. You must think that there are a lot of fools out there spending thousands of dollars on equipment chasing a dream. The differences are very real but you may not be able to perceive them and if you can't perceive them what is the purpose of your channel?
1st. Enjoy the music no matter what

Great video. How would the FiiO M23 in desktop mode compare against a proper desktop amp of a similar price?
i have M11 Plus ESS,
i dont like the sound stage, it's not wide.
but i like the warm character from m11 plus ess.
m23 better than m11 plus?
Never heard the M11 Plus.
I have V60, am I missing anything in terms of sound quality?
Some people are saying the M23 cuts off after 2 or 3 songs, have you experienced any playback issues with the M23?
No. Not on Fiio Music nor on a third party app.
Hi I saw you have the fiio fh3 and Doscinco, which is the best of the 2? I also have fh9 but honestly the bass is very flat.
It isn't a case of "best" really but I prefer the Doscinco.

the bluetooth is oke when we use earphone with bluetooth?

@@MrHerbieDerb Whatever you say. I'll await your evidence. Same applies to all the others who make such claims and provide zero evidence.
Have m23 with shanling me700 and i realy like this combo. I just wish he last longer then 10.5 hour.
My old Fiio m15 go up to 15 hours.
Poor review. Focused on too many unimportant issues.
Feel free to do your own, I'm sure they'll be better (no it won't). Link it here once you're done.
what was he supposed to focus on? The fact that it measures dead flat from 20-20000hz? 😂
