The comment about you ‘sounding like a Chinese robot’ was hilarious. I think that what she meant to say was that you have a definite accent when you speak Tagalog. It’s not a bad thing, but your diction is still a bit stiffer since you don’t speak it as fast as a native would. Which is fine too! It wasn’t meant negatively. Just an observation. However, may I greatly commend your general vocabulary in conversational Tagalog since it’s definitely at an intermediate level-and loads better than mine-and it’s fantastic! I’ve been enjoying all your videos so far. Very entertaining because of everyone’s reactions. You’re inspiring to watch and you’re definitely sparking long dormant words and expressions I haven’t heard in decades! Please keep it up!

instead say: "Nakikipagusap"ako sa mga pilipino dito kaya ako natuto
Agree, since "nag-uusap" is a reciprocal verb just like in the sentence "Nag-uusap kami paminsan minsan". Still a great job for Jared!

btw I'm learning Tagalog, I'm headed to Manila soon. I know a few hundred words but the grammar is confusing.. your videos inspire me. Especially seeing how they all find it attractive as a foreigner lol anyways keep it up kaibigan!
They say "putol-putol" which means piece by piece or chopped, probably because he speaks syllable by syllable like a robot unlike the natives who speak straightly
