All 3 of C9s drafts so far have been extremely disappointing. i dont know what reapered is thinking. once again they let yummi garen go thru pick bans and once again they dont pick an adc for sneaky. While benching the MVP jungler. Groups is NOT the time to be subbing in your superstar jungler.

@@johnlu8041 I agree. The main reason I say to prioritize banning the Yuumi over Garen is I think you could can still pair Yuumi with someone like Yasuo, who likes to run at you, or even a regular ADC, and she still outputs way too much damage and the massive root from her ult.

Fit into the plan, still, a midlane control mage player, though I would definitely value champions he's comfortable on 4. @@phuongcao5158 there isnt really anything wrong with it. If a team knows they are unable to fight it, they would ban it. For example, in SKT vs CG, SKT banned Huni's Rumble making him practically useless in their game. Bans are in the game for a reason.

Matthew Minogue G2 got rolled by Griffin, the original comment did become true. Their true strength wasn’t shown right here, even with their lost vs IG everyone performed, except Sword was just outclassed in a whole nother level by TheShy, otherwise who knows, think GRF would’ve been contesting World Champ.
I think Fiora is a good pick against Garen Yuumi. Got everything in her kit to kill twose two. I discussed this for a long time with my mates, and either she or Vayne sounds like the best counter for it, with Executioner in the build. Just instead of Sona or such stuff I'd just add Morgana support for late spellshields against Yuumi's poke and for safe botlane matchup and it should be fine. About this match thing is... I'm C9 supporter since a long time, but that's not the C9 I'd like to watch. It feels like Sneaky is completely lost, I don't know why he's stuck on mages or for what reason but he isn't showing anything. Zeyzal can't do anything. Nisqy was underperforming on all three matches, when I thought after a relatively good split it was his chance to shine. Licorice played far below my expectations, and that hurts. I just hope they will realize what's wrong for the next three matches and just try to keep play their own game on their own comfort picks instead adapting to the current meta. Sona doesn't work since a long time still NA teams consider her as a "special weapon". Sneaky on a classic ADC, Zeyzal on his comfort Braum or Nauti, Nisqy on whatever he feels good atm, classic Svenskeren on Seju and Licorice on Aatrox or even that Fiora, that'd be nice to watch, and I don't want to sound like a coach or something but that's what I watched just doesn't feel like C9.
In yesterday's interview with Travis Sneaky said they wouldn't be banning Garen+Yummi because there are counters to it. Welp, you were just proven wrong. Now ban it and play an actual ADC, please.
But what influence did the Garen Yuumi combo have up until we inted with the fight mid when licorice tp'd? The Sona was also crucial in today's plan, which was to sustain constant mid pressure while we had a dominant sidelane pushing. Without Sona there Licorice couldn't have done his job. The game was lost on one bad decision, that decision was definitely not in the draft phase. Logically Ezreal might have been a good choice here, but the utility (cc, healing, speed) provided a safe pressure into scary shit like Tarzan's lee, Chovy's Leblanc, and even sword barrels/ulti engage which would zone Ezreal into only hitting garen or even worse pushing the wave too far (which btw they don't want to do, because Leblanc and lee can EASILY get behind and kick kench/oneshot Zoe past t2 towers.) Regardless today's error was not the draft.

If this was the first time Garen+Yummi was played, then you may have a point. But it's already been used at least 5 times and has proven to be extremely formidable.

C9 probably couldve won , but they played the macro wrong after they took baron. They needed to slow push top lane while fiora gets closer to bottom inhib. then they could siege mid with pressure. They force griffin to send 2 or more to fiora or engage mid. Either way C9 can respond by disengaging while top is still pushing in. they take turrets for free just by managing waves correctly.
"C9 has already, get absolute control." 50 seconds later, loose the team fight. 10 minutes later, loose the game. "SLAP" These host sure have the power of prediction.

Picking garen yuumi into sona tahm was pretty ballsy. Cant help but feel like the taric would have been fine once the yuumi was showing. Yuumi isnt gonna kill taric in lane
Kench ensures they win sidelane (as if they needed it with Fiora) and guarantees that GRF can't engage even if Sneaky or Nisqy make a huge mistake. There's no way for GRF to force the 4v4 against Sona+Kench, yet for someone reason C9 handed them the teamfight GRF needed.
C9's draft was amazing against what GRF had. GRF shouldn't be able to kill them in the 4v4 with such terrible engage (it's ALL on Tarzan's Lee Sin) against Sona+Kench, and Gangplank can't deal with Fiora in the sidelane. Sona+Kench even gets a free lane with Sona's sustain into Yuumi's poke. C9 just misplayed.
Not sure why the casters were giving C9 the advantage. Garen + Yummi is already super impossibly hard to kill and they didn't even have the damage to scratch him. Fiora does nothing at all in teamfights and will never kill Garen because he's so fast. This was an easy Griffin victory from champ select

Wonder if people who say Chovy > Faker will focus on the chovy int into C9's base as much as they did Faker (who went 9/0/8 on trist) and buster shot ryze away to go do baron.
@@Stego1819 Funny how you stick to regular splits. Why ignore the important matches? Also, in 2nd round of both sping and summer, SKT (and Faker) were better than GRF. Furthermore, Faker was never slumping. People tried to ascribe SKT's 1-5 start to Faker but Faker was fine. The other parts of the map were underperforming. Finally, its interesting how people like LS jumped on Faker's tiny mistakes when he went 9/0/8 but Chovy's much larger mistakes go ignored.

And yes Faker didnt play well at the beginning of the season just like everyone one SKT except for Teddy did. And Faker knocking away the Ryze in that game was a mistake. Srsly fanboyism is one of the worst things in this generation. As soon as somebody criticizes your idol you feel personally attacked.

Boring at first but super fun second half. Hyper carry Garen? What is up with this worlds? It’s great! Anyhow, this was cloud 9’s match to win as their win condition I thought was simpler than griffin’s, but cloud9’s decision to respond to 5v5 team fight and stop split pushing really lost them the game. In all fairness I think they thought they would win having late game sona on their side, but griffin did a great job attach from multiple angles with Leblanc where griffin constantly attacked their weak points. Except for that one mistake getting killed by Elise Chovy played absolutely beautifully and showed why he is a world class player. I hope griffin can challenge G2 when they play. At griffins best I think they can give G2 a serious challenge. Excited for the upcoming matches.

So, you have a fiora flexing in the sideline. Why on earth you start pushing mid with no one splitting, then TF 5v4 with a fiora tping in the middle of 5 people. They could have just pushed top while fiora splits bot until they forced griffin to react. C9 was dumb as hell.
Explain why this is the third game that licorice, every team fight, just keeps standing there and not helping his team, it's like he's a spectator, dude has just sat during teamfights these last 3 games. Sure, you can argue that he had no way of getting into a team fight, but he was playing renekton these last 3 games, dude only started team fighting after nearly having 5 items (not adding boots) on the renekton, and one aggressive fight from him after every other, and they win. Maybe if licorice actually attempted to help a bit, C9 would look a lot better. I'm not even a fan of C9 and its irritating watching Licorice. Then he feeds as well. Except that renekton game.

She sures up every weakeness of garen and garen sures up every weakness to yuumi, its unfun to watch, and aids to play against. Wonder when live design team will realize that there is no way for them to make yuumi balanced because of how poorly designed she is.

Adcs besides kaisa xayah ezreal have been bad all season, long before 9.14. They just get 1 shot by most other roles and take too long to scale.

Looking back, Sona Tahm Kench is fine. They needed better top jg and mid draft. More teamfight oriented champs.
Ugh tbh C9 had this game, until Sneaky started throwing and ruining it with his 10 IQ ultimates.
C9 probably couldve won , but they played the macro wrong after they took baron. They needed to slow push top lane while fiora gets closer to bottom inhib. then they could siege mid with pressure. They force griffin to send 2 or more to fiora or engage mid. Either way C9 can respond by disengaging while top is still pushing in. they take turrets for free just by managing waves correctly.
I feel like their making Worlds a training ground for their clown fiesta LMAO!

Picking garen yuumi into sona tahm was pretty ballsy. Cant help but feel like the taric would have been fine once the yuumi was showing. Yuumi isnt gonna kill taric in lane
Kench ensures they win sidelane (as if they needed it with Fiora) and guarantees that GRF can't engage even if Sneaky or Nisqy make a huge mistake. There's no way for GRF to force the 4v4 against Sona+Kench, yet for someone reason C9 handed them the teamfight GRF needed.
NA still the best in the world... at losing.

Honesty, C9's picks barely looked like a team comp
C9's draft was amazing against what GRF had. GRF shouldn't be able to kill them in the 4v4 with such terrible engage (it's ALL on Tarzan's Lee Sin) against Sona+Kench, and Gangplank can't deal with Fiora in the sidelane. Sona+Kench even gets a free lane with Sona's sustain into Yuumi's poke. C9 just misplayed.
Another stupid no damage comp from C9 getting destroyed by Garen.
Not sure why the casters were giving C9 the advantage. Garen + Yummi is already super impossibly hard to kill and they didn't even have the damage to scratch him. Fiora does nothing at all in teamfights and will never kill Garen because he's so fast. This was an easy Griffin victory from champ select

Also, in 2nd round of both sping and summer, SKT (and Faker) were better than GRF.
Furthermore, Faker was never slumping. People tried to ascribe SKT's 1-5 start to Faker but Faker was fine. The other parts of the map were underperforming.
Finally, its interesting how people like LS jumped on Faker's tiny mistakes when he went 9/0/8 but Chovy's much larger mistakes go ignored.

And yes Faker didnt play well at the beginning of the season just like everyone one SKT except for Teddy did.
And Faker knocking away the Ryze in that game was a mistake.

Boring at first but super fun second half. Hyper carry Garen? What is up with this worlds? It’s great! Anyhow, this was cloud 9’s match to win as their win condition I thought was simpler than griffin’s, but cloud9’s decision to respond to 5v5 team fight and stop split pushing really lost them the game. In all fairness I think they thought they would win having late game sona on their side, but griffin did a great job attach from multiple angles with Leblanc where griffin constantly attacked their weak points. Except for that one mistake getting killed by Elise Chovy played absolutely beautifully and showed why he is a world class player. I hope griffin can challenge G2 when they play. At griffins best I think they can give G2 a serious challenge. Excited for the upcoming matches.

So, you have a fiora flexing in the sideline. Why on earth you start pushing mid with no one splitting, then TF 5v4 with a fiora tping in the middle of 5 people. They could have just pushed top while fiora splits bot until they forced griffin to react. C9 was dumb as hell.

This sucks. C9 had an ok chance of leaving groups if they won this game, but now their odds are 10% at best. C9 needs a new adc. Badly.
Explain why this is the third game that licorice, every team fight, just keeps standing there and not helping his team, it's like he's a spectator, dude has just sat during teamfights these last 3 games. Sure, you can argue that he had no way of getting into a team fight, but he was playing renekton these last 3 games, dude only started team fighting after nearly having 5 items (not adding boots) on the renekton, and one aggressive fight from him after every other, and they win. Maybe if licorice actually attempted to help a bit, C9 would look a lot better. I'm not even a fan of C9 and its irritating watching Licorice. Then he feeds as well. Except that renekton game.

She sures up every weakeness of garen and garen sures up every weakness to yuumi, its unfun to watch, and aids to play against. Wonder when live design team will realize that there is no way for them to make yuumi balanced because of how poorly designed she is.
