    Hello! Thank you for the video! I would like to ask you, could there exist colonies of unicellular algae that they are linear ? If yes how do you separate them from filamentous multicellular algae? Thank you in advance!

      Hi Foteini, I am not familiar with any. However, I did a quick search as you got me curious and found Ophiocytium as being long in shape. They can be found as unicellular, colonial and filamentous. You would need to do a little more research to see if this is what you are looking for. If they are filamentous, they should be physically connected to each other. If they are single-cell (unicellular), they are free from other cells. Hope this helps.
