Dont forget Game Over off the first album. Great ballad too and even a bit more heavy in the breakdowns. With awesome harmonizing guitars that Hazuki and Saki do so well.
@@aaronleesgbclieutenant Their 4th anniversary concert which is on blu ray they performed Game Over and it was amazing. Had a cool mellow guitar intro with Hazuki playing guitar and Saki soloing a bit over it before launching into the song.
Haha you’ve now done 3 of their most off their normal sound type songs with Night Flight, Hypnosis and now Odyssey. Nemophila will always surprise you but never disappoint you.
Beautiful song, and another reason to love this amazing band. They have songs that have you headbanging, bring out the tears, and everything in between. Awesome reaction.🎤🎸🥁😎
I first heard this song on a suggested playlist on youtube while driving. I didn't realize it was Nemophila, but I thought it was so beautiful I had to look at my phone to make note of who it was so I could listen to it more. Imagine my delight to see that it was Nemophila. So damn beautiful.
Great reaction! Mayu sounded amazing. This surprised some but not me. Well a little just because how beautiful it was. To some that have only ever heard them do heavy stuff or just rock out this is way different. But they have done ballads before. There are two on the first album in Life and Game Over. Both very good. Life is beautiful and Game Over is killer trackheavy chuggy during the breakdowns and with awesome duel and harmonizing solos. Now I Here on the last album another ballad with an amazing solo section between Hazuki and Saki. This song just as good just not with the longer solo. This song was actually written by another songwriter and is not only on their new album coming out next month but it is also the campaign song for a anime movie coming out in Japan next year. Nemophila 98 percent of the time is heavy as hell but can still whip out a very beautiful ballad that sounds so much like the 80s 90s metal rock ballads. These ladies are amazing and can play anything. I enjoy the heavy stuff more always will but these ladies can sure crank out beautiful ballad too. Cant wait to see them live in US again. Oh and I can almost guarantee the next song they release will be a shredder. For sure heavy because that is how they roll.
@@sprayblood It was for me then it was Now I here because that solo section is so cool what Saki and Hazuki are doing. But overall Game Over still. Awesome harmonizing solo but that heavy chuggy breakdown before the solo section puts it over the top for me. Have you seen it live on their new bluray? Its awesome with a cool Hazuki and Saki guitar intro.
Agree entirely about the CCs - but IMHO I'd go a step further than that and plead with them to release an English version of this - although it's not typical Nemophila I think it is a song that if properly promoted could open doors for them in the US & UK markets ( esp. radio plays ) and give them the foothold they so richly deserve
It's the campaign song for the movie Oshiri Tantei! Lyrics: Ryosuke Imai Composed by Ryosuke Imai Arranged by Kensuke Akiyama Looked up Ryosuke Imai, Seems to be very well known in Japan also as a singer. It's always a big deal for a band to get gigs like this, puts them out there to a bigger audience. They are showing their talent and professionalism, wonderful song.
It's worth noting that the hi-hat is not just a straight 8th notes, but there are slight variations through the song. Also, I love how at the snare cross stick hits are left out here and there ( especially at 2:33 in this video). In power ballads this is where you lean into striking the snare to have that tight feeling, so leaving it out gives you the feeling when you expect one more stair on the way down but it's not there. Also, who gave the 80's outfits of Lukather to Saki?
Love this song. The lyrics I've seen for this are pretty good however I want to see the official version. Japanese has so many variants when translated. The drum and bass combining in the chorus is my favorite part. It leads you to the rest of the goodies like Mayu's vocal and Hazuki and Saki's guitar work. Great rock ballad.
Mayu tour de force, for sure. Come for the fry screams from hell...stay for the emotional nuance, control, and character. I also love how the rest of the band allows this to be a showcase for these amazing vocals (as a power ballad should be). No one overplays, but everyone adds to the mix just what it needs.
As a fan of this band since Dec 2019, it's been my pleasure to watch Mayu's vocal ability and control grow so much over the last 4 year's, simply amazing.
John my guy . How about stepping back into a bit of LiSA First take of unlasting or catch the moment are both epic . Also check out LiSA empty mermaid . A lot more rock style
love it subtitles do get put on eventually to most of there uploads dont know why its not from the start . This is the theme to a new Anime film in Japan . Just magic all-round.
While every member of this band is superbly skilled and all the instrumentation is perfect as always, this is a song that showcases Mayu's voice first and foremost. I always love seeing another facet of a band and Mayu's 'soft/head' voice is a powerful and emotive part of their music which gets to shine here.
The appeal of NEMOPHILA is that since they originally started as a cover band, they do not stick to a specific genre, but rather incorporate various musical elements and make the most of Mayu's voice, which likes to be loud, so there are few similar songs and they never get bored!
They actually have other power ballads posted--check out "Life" and "Now I Here". Also gorgeous and moving. They are a truly great band. Thanks for checking this out.
This sounds like a Diane Warren song recorded in Nashville. For me, a 9.9 out of ten. I only have one tiny complaint. Mayu could have done the last four bars in one breath. She has such great breath control, even live and screaming. I don't understand the 3 breaths in the last line.
You don't have to know the lyrics for it to make you feel it. It's already there. I cry every single time I hear it. Mayu sings her little heart out - as though she'll die if she doesn't get the words out before they explode. Besides, translation wouldn't give you the same as the music, because it would not scan.
I totally get that! But if she was about to burst to get the words out, wouldn’t you want to understand what she’s saying? I feel the song for sure, just want a deeper understanding
If by "crap" you mean "gorgeous power ballad played to perfection by a talented supergroup that can still melt your face off any time they want to", then I agree 🙂
Another great song !..Nemophila ballads.."Life"(with subs) and " Now I Here"
Dont forget Game Over off the first album. Great ballad too and even a bit more heavy in the breakdowns. With awesome harmonizing guitars that Hazuki and Saki do so well.
@@kawliga4845came to say this 💯💯

This is a beautiful song. Just like the ladies of NEMOPHILA. They are a special band. Thank you for the great reaction.
Instantly transported me to the 80s!
The song, the hair, the outfits, the set, the filter, everything screams 80s!
Haha you’ve now done 3 of their most off their normal sound type songs with Night Flight, Hypnosis and now Odyssey. Nemophila will always surprise you but never disappoint you.
This is the perfect compliment to the rest of their sound in my opinion. Mayu has such a sultry voice, and Saki's outfit is 🔥

Goosebumps and chills! Brings me back to the 80's/90's... FREAKIN' AWESOME!
Mayu is an incredible singer. Amazing. Hazuki and Saki had some really tasteful guitar work in this song. Fantastic ballad.
Just love the spicy in their guitars
👍NEMOPHILA unplugged almost. 🖖❤
Wow! Can you say throwback Power Ballad with a Beatles feeling opening?
Merry Christmas John and here’s to 2024! 🎉

What a beautiful song and beautiful voice!!!❤ I think they can even release a full ballads album!!!!😍😍😍👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Game Over, Life, Now I Here are their other softer songs... Check them out 😊
They are absolutely fantastic songs.
I was road tripping the first time I heard, Now I Here - and it just hit.
Life was an instant classic as well. :)

They do put closed captions on their video but it usually takes a few months for them to add them to the videos.

I was waiting for Steven Tyler to walk right into the video and start dueting with Mayu. 😂
simply beautiful
If this isn’t an Ending Theme for an anime, it should be! The feels! 😫
It was written for an anime movie, yes.

Another ballads song.... Ost Anime Oshiri Tantei movie
WE NEED LYRICS! I can't find them anywhere.
Let's face it, this is crap. To me Nemophila is taking a wrong turn since a few songs. They are obviously manipulated by their management.
