Yeah, the good cowboy ending ended too perfectly with little possibilities for further development. The other one has a ton. But nether one got her home.
@@darrellgranger8186 Actually the void ending does return the main character to her home. If Henrique is true to his word “we have no interest in your universe”, then we can assume that Sonja will live a peaceful life in her version of the earth (the same one we are in according to the game encyclopedia). However, because Kauboi told us that the void considers universes as cancer and with the power of Hypercube they can snuff out realms, I think it’s only a matter of time before our universe got invaded too.
maybe Code Void cube will be Vertigo 3 which might take place during this factory explosion 38:57 or was it a laboratory idk but it did throw her to a different place by now

I really liked the "bad ending" because it sets up a possible Vertigo 3.

Bad ending just means a guaranteed no hope of survival apocalypse for that realm (and likely all others) and the Hyper cube falling into the Void Delegation hands.
Fighting the Void Delegation itself was already impossible as entities not of the Void cannot harm those of the Void (Kauboi said this last episode). Kauboi's weapon only made it possible, plus the player being a Catalyst probably helped.
With the Hyper cube, they would become even more OP and stopping them at all is likely 100% impossible. Any realm with Kauboi setting up things to resist would just be easily erased with a snap of their fingers once the Void Delegation find out.
I don't think that ending sets up a possible sequel as well as the "good" ending. Good ending has Brian join Kauboi, and Kauboi is able to keep the hyper cube away from Void Delegation hands longer. Meaning more time to develop tools/weapons to fight entities of the Void, i.e. other Realmwalkers like Enrique.

I just don't want Sonja to have died after all her tribulations to get home. That and figuring out a new way to get at the Void ala DOOM, but then it'd retcon a bunch of world building and lore.

They both 100% set up a third game. Without a doubt hes working on the third game right now. I cant imagine the quality it will be but this game took 5 years so dont expect vertigo 3 for a loooooooooong time

What a game. Never watched the end credits, but I am in there twice (as Beta-Tester and for the Bhaptics integration). I can die happy now, my name is in the best VR game.
Also: Did you cut out quite a bit of the huge battle around the pyramid? I remember there being a ton of other enemies, e.g. a lot of sniper bots nailing me down in one of those yellow cabinets...

I didn't realize Officer 13 was Gianni Matragrino until this boosfight. I realized it was him because his threats/insults sound very similar to Gabrial from Ultrakill, especially the whole greasing with blood part. Makes sense given +MAURICE is in this game.

Gianni, the person who voice acted for Officer 13, also voiced Gabriel, The Judge of Hell, in ULTRAKILL. In Vertigo 2, he says, "You defy Planck!" In ULTRAKILL, he says, "You defy the light!" I don't know if it's a reference, its cool though.

The worst part about the ending is that it sets up so many questions and possible future stories that I know I won't see for years, if we see them at all. I want to see more! The Aether was already my favorite scene in any game ever. I want to know more about the Void Delegation. I want to see the void! I want to see what the Hypercube is truly capable of. There are so many possibilities to explore! And we won't see any of that for years, if it is developed at all. I hate/love the ending because the game is amazing but it hints at so much more.
