You are providing a fantastic resource for amateur bus converters. These videos will be around for a long time and I'm sure many people will watch them before undertaking a project like this.
Robert J. McKinney Sr thank you. We are thinking of doing a video with the Question “what would we do differently “. Between bus 1 and 2 there were big differences, between 2 and 3 only marginal changes.
@@LacroixCruiser That would be awesome for all the novice builders like myself someday! The what not to do and why we improved is like a youtude teacher in full swing, lol.
Thanks for the update great work on the door I have the claw in my 84 MC9 if it's not locked the bus won't go over 35 miles an hour must be some kinda safety thing? Anyway thanks for taking us along for the transformation.
Yes must be for safety. There is a big vacuum created at the front of the bus for the first 2-3 feet of it. Before putting a new latch on our GMC it would occasionally open if we forgot to secure the deadbolt.
I'm guessing that the bus trim piece blocked off the lower door window because the front facia on your bus was changed, but they didn't change the facia on the door, which might be a window that matches the trim piece. I don't think it came from the factory like that. Maybe it was a DL3 thing ?
Couldn't quite hear what adhesive you're using. Got that it needed to bind to aluminum and plastic (we're about to put our roof fans on as well), but didn't catch if you recommended a brand. Looking at Sikaflex...
Sylvie sanding is a bit under stated, all I heard when you were fixing that door was the whine of that sander. You both are a true pair made for each other, keep up the great videos.
Been looking for a door repair this in-depth for a couple of weeks now. I wonder if those MCI swing hinges could be used universally to fit my eagle bus? I had planned on using 16g SS piano hinge. Also, is there a link for the sticker plate on the close side of the door?
@@LacroixCruiser funny. That should read striker plate. The latch on the closing side for the door. I've seen kits here and there for door handle replacements but I never see them with the closing hardware.
Your videos are a huge source of tips and tricks to get the most out a conversion. Mine doesn't nearly as daunting anymore. Thanks!
Thanks for watching

You do really nice work and your wife is a very hard worker. I really enjoy watching you two restoring the bus!

You guys do fantastic work it’s just beautiful. I wished I was there handy to do that. Thank you very much
Thanks for being with us in spirit

Nice work, congratulations on the substantial door repair. Progress!

Lots of work! Sylvie singing in the background was great! I’ll be at colaw in a few weeks!

Tout simplement incroyable Félicitations

Correct it’s a cosmetic add on.

Polyurethane.
Une masque anti-poussière pour Sylvie!
Elle a un masque, c’est simplement que elle ne le porte pas tous le temps quand les températures dépasse les 25c.

I’m sure the MCI hinges could be adapted. Could you please elaborate on the “sticker plate”

I fabricated our striker plate.
Bonjour, nous adorons vos vidéos. Une petite question : pourquoi avoir utilisé 3 morceaux pour remplacer la vitre en plastique de la porte ?
Merci
Pour finir plat.
Merci. On retourne au visionnage 👍😄
You need a MIG welder.
Had one, I prefer arc welding.

L’extérieur sera fini bien avant ça.
@@LacroixCruiser Bref vous allez finir l'extérieur et après seulement vous allez attaquer l'intérieur?
Just wondering if its a problem not having emergency exit hatches on the roof? Does anyone make emergency exit hatches with fans in them? Thanks.
Not that I know of
What was the metal to metal product used to bond the door lock mount to the door? You clamped it to allow curing time... Thank You!
This is the panel adhesive we used.
