Enjoy your vacation, Kai! Will be interesting to see where you’re going, considering you already live in a beautiful place! Good information as always.😊
Talk about portugal. Anyone born in portuguese soil has right to a passport after going to school for one year even if the parents are illegally in the country.
Thanks. We aren't in a lockdown (yet). There is a lockdown in certain areas like Catalonia. Right now I'm in Cádiz and everything seems normal. There are a ton of tourists. I'm trying to still keep my distance, but it's a challenge with so many people here.
Hello Kai, just watching this after 2 years, nice job My question is this, I just got my student visa to study in Spain, and now my wife is pregnant , which she will give birth in Spain(all things being equal). Does this mean our child can apply for citizenship after clocking 1 years of age? And what’s the implications on we the parents (both from Nigeria)
Hello Kai, I am legally residing in spain as a non EU national, and my kid is born in spain and has spainish nationality, can I apply for the spainish nationality on the basis of my kid and how long would it take
@@hamzasajjad5510 Unfortunately no. Parents can't get it through their children, but children can get it through their parents. This is something I hope they change in the future so maybe one day my mother can get citizenship through me.
Bro....my mom brought me from Nigeria last 2 years when I was 15 now I'm 17 I got the Spain residency through her,now she is a Spanish citizenship , can I also get citizenship through her ? I'm 17 turning 18 next year
Yes you can. If she has Spanish citizenship you can get it through her. You can visit your nearest court house (Juzgado) to get the paperwork you need and they can explain the steps in detail.
I was born in Spain and if I come with a student residency for one year to study, will I be able to take the nationality? what else should I do if it is possible?
It depends on the country of your parents. Were they also born in Spain? If so then you can apply for Spanish nationality by presumption. If your parents aren't from Spain you can apply after one year of residency.
Hello Kai, you are such a great blessing thank you, i just have a question if My father is pure Spanish ( whom i really wish to meet one day) and i was born in Madrid, but i was brought here in the Philippines by my Filipina mother, and i have documents with me even the hospital records that states that i was born there can i claim my right to be a Spanish citizen?
Hello thank you for your comment. If you have all the documentation that proves that your father was a Spanish citizen and have documents showing that you were born in Spain then yes. You wouldn't need a residential waiting period either. You could talk with the foreigners office of the autonomous community of Madrid to see if there are any additional documents you may need, buy it should be very easy in your situation.
Thank you so much Kai will apply a tourist visa and go there and work it out i really wish to meet my father too… big love and Godbless you 🥰 do you happen to have IG account that i can follow or maybe facebook? 🥰
Hi sir im from philippines i was born in spain but grew up here in the philippines i have my spanish birthcertificate and libro de familia. I have foreign parents mother(filipina) father (american) now im working here in the philippines i want to acquire a dual citizenship filipino/spanish what is the best way to enter spain and work my papers there. Thank you so much
@@joeysabularce7885 No. If two foreign parents have a baby then the baby gets whatever citizenship the parents are. If the parents are American for example then the baby would be American. The only exception would be if somehow the parents country refuses to give the baby citizenship. In that case they would get Spanish citizenship so the child won't become stateless. However, there are other exceptions. If the child has been a legal resident in Spain for one full year then he can apply for citizenship regardless of the parents, but he or she won't get citizenship automatically like other countries.

Thanks. I went to Seville, but now I'm in Cádiz 😄

If you are thinking of getting Spanish nationality by childbirth check with the embassy to see if anything has changed.
Thanks for the video.
Gracias por su ayuda 😎
De nada ☺️

Hi, my wife has a student visa, while I have a tourist visa. When she delivered our baby, does our baby can apply for citizenship?
No, one of you would have to be Spanish or if the baby somehow was able to get citizenship from your home country they could get it.
So this only apply for mothers who have tourist visa?

Hey Patrick!! It's been awhile. I had to make a new Facebook. I couldn't find you. If you look me up you should find me.
I would give a kidney just to be citizen of Spain.
Haha i think just following the necessary guidelines would be sufficient 😆
