A great place indeed... plus you have Watford town centre not too far away and chestnuts can be found in the woods at this time of year! Hopefully I'll be back there next autumn!
Great vlog Jasmin, thanks. I love to get a heads up on what is alongside, as well as on, the canal. It really helps plan trips. Theresa and I went through here in 2018 on our way down to Brentford and didn't know what I had missed. I'm not sure when we will get back down tjhrough there again, but we will take advantage if we do. I hope the upcoming winter is kind to you continuous cruisers.
I girl I know that park well as I used to go there and layout for the sunshine and paddling in the stream just like you did. I also see your heading back to inner London.
Looked like a good place to explore so thanks for heads up. One technical point for the inner nerd ... the waterfall is designed to aerate the water. You will save noticed the frothy white water effect as the water cascaded down the side. I gather the slope is covered in protuberances to upset the flow of water and thus entrain the air.
J', do you know of anyone who lets others stay on their narrow boat for two or three days say, just to get a taste of the life if thinking of buying one perhaps?
Alexander Graham Bell thought "ahoy" should be how we answer the telephone. I used to work telecom in the Army and for that reason over the years I occasionally greet people as "ahoy" (recently in EMT class lol). It's a word that sticks in the mind, isn't it? The world should have listened to Bell. haha
@@2neanderthal602 lol yeah, that's right. But along with Mr. Burns, it's too bad a car's accelerator and brake pedals aren't really called the velocitator and the deceleratrix. ;)
Bonfire, that brings to mind a weather thing and a question; Do y'all in UK have warnings like this and what are they named by the UK weather services, "URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO 248 PM CDT Tue Oct 13 2020 ...Elevated Fire Weather Conditions Wednesday... .Strong southwest winds, low relative humidity, warm temperatures, and dry vegetation will combine to promote elevated fire weather concerns across portions of southwest and central Missouri. The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect Wednesday afternoon. "
It doesn't get hot enough for that to be an issue , there are sometimes fires that come from bbqs but that's only ever in the hight of summer (Maybe one week a year) . We can even leave dogs in cars :) . We do get weather warnings for storms and stuff
"Ahoy" Jasmin, love watching all your adventures, have just subscribed, good choice of sandals, you have very pretty feet by the way, love to see more of them in your videos
I am sorry but, You young lady do not seem happy any more 😢. I'm so sorry and i hope things change so i can see you as you used to be! love ya kiddo! 🙂 past vids don't lie.

lovely scenery
Never stopped there but will add it to our list- thanks
Idyllic place. You have captured that last moment of summer, deepening colours, a hint of melancholy before autumn really starts.
Photo-bombed by a swan! Nice video, as always. The time-lapse of the lock was very photogenic.
Very nice and I am your new subscriber from Afghanistan.
Welcome imran! Is there any place in Afghanistan where people live on boats ?
Cassiobury Park looks AMAZING. I've added water friendly shoes to my list of must haves...
Nice vid thanks.
Very nice...thank you. I love the way you make us feel like you're actually taking us to your favorite places. Again...thank you for sharing. 🙂

Wish i had known about those places when i lived around there .....especially about feet washing LOL
Very nice video, thank you for all that you put on!

Live near cassiobury Park and I have walk and played around most of my life and it has a great firework display in November
I always enjoy your videos - thanks!
Nice cozy place to visit , cheers from Tennessee
Thanks for that. We are popping over there tomorrow to do some filming. Really good footage and information ❤️👍🎥🎬
Thanks for this vid, I wasn't sure what the canal was like past Apsley. Now I know 🙂

Watercress beds
The animal place is Cassiobury farm, it's bit family's private animal farm but they open a few days a year to the public.
That would be an awesome place to plan to be during a snow or freeze-over. All that area to tramp about.
I think they have winter moorings in cassiobury

That's why Mr Burns in the Simpson s always answers the phone " Ahoy-hoy" , because he is so old.

That swan peeking over your boats hull. Was he a friend of yours? :-)
I've named him Larry long neck cos he peaks over when we have breakfast on the bow
That swan steals it at the end! “Bread bread!”
Other floating footwear is available.
watt moor could you ever whant.
