Convert old vending machine 12 PINS non mdb to mdb that can run bill acceptor and debit card reader

I tested this on an old Crane GPL 474 Non MDB Combo Vending Machine using 12 PINS 24 Volts Connected to the Non MDB Coin Mech.
Here is a Step By Step:
I switched off the power of the Crane GPL 474 Non MDB Vending Machine
Took out the 12 PINS Connection of Non MDB Coin Mechanism
Installed the MDB Converter 12 PINS to the existing 12 PINS Connector on the Crane GPL 474
Installed the MDB Converter Kit Red and Black Wires to a Transformer ( Input : 110V Output : 24VAC 1.6Amps )
Connected the MDB Converter to a Coinco 6 Tube Coin Mech and Coinco Bill Acceptor. ( You can also use MEI Bill Acceptor )
Switch On the Power to the Vending Machine
Switch On the Power of the Transformer ( Input : 110V Output : 24VAC )
The whole thing works fine at my garage
I will install this on site by tomorrow on an AP 110 Series Vending Machine and will again make a video to help you out on exactly how to do it by yourself.
This saved me a ton of money and this will also save your older Non MDB vending machines and update or upgrade to accept Bills which will definitely boost your sales!
In this Pandemic times, it is essential for you to make use of all your spare parts such as MDB Bill Acceptor, MDB Coin Mechanism and Purchase a NON MDB to MDB Converter!
I will try to connect a Payrange, Nayax Reader or USA Technologies ePort Reader and will make a video as well in the future to see if they will all work in synergy.

Hello francis, do you know if it's possible to convert a 9-pinned jones plug to an MDB interface?? I have an old vending machine that is not compatible with MDB coin changers
You must enable preauthorization for the credit card reader to work correctly with this converter or you may end up giving away free products.
does this work with card readers also. Im being told that the boards need to be compatable

did you go to programming mode on your vending machine to accept card reader or mdb reader? did you also call the EPort provider if they have activated your unit? those are the only 2 problems that i encounter all the time

Hi Francis , I am wondering if you have had any luck or experience connecting the lu250 micro mech to mdb converter with credit card interface to a nayax vpos touch cc reader. It states on D&S vending that it will only work in the USA and I am in Vancouver Canada
why dont we try it out? im just here in richmond and goes to vancouver 3 to 4x a week.

@@izzyp5522 Hello Ray i only had success connecting it with MDB devices but have not yet tried Nayax. But i looked up in Forums and in USA they had success connecting it to USA Technologies Credit Card Readers. Maybe if you have a working Nayax you can try it and let me know as well thanks. Most of my Non Mdb are in old apartment buildings and everyone there has coins and bills
Did you ever try to connect PayRange?
Yes but I noticed that payrange only works on locations with the same people. Debit credit works better overall for public and private locations
Payrange can only accept mdb machines. I have never tried on converted non mdb to mdb machines
This will not work with PayRange because there is no way to activate preauthorization with PayRange. If the customer cancels the transaction with this converter, they will get the product for free.
Where do you purchase them in Canada?
For the conversion module only D&S vending usa is the cheapest option
@@franzink Thanks! Have you tested it with Nayax VPOS Touch? I just looked at D&S Site and they say it only works in the USA for cards
@@adrianelzinga9947 sorry did not test it. Better swap out your machine to a MDB model to avoid headaches in the long run
