- Leiden is a city in South Holland in the Netherlands. It’s famous for Leiden University, the country’s oldest, dating from 1575. City has beautiful old architecture, museums, gardens and lots of beautiful canals. You can take a boat tour around, have a picnic, eat in many wonderful restaurants. Leiden is a popular tourist destination in Netherlands. It is located in the area famous for tulip fields. Visiting in April is amazing opportunity to see amazing beauty of Dutch flowers.

Leiden is magical😍 I fell in love with it at first glance.🥺 I got to know the name of this city by deep searching, because I watched an anime which had a country named Leidenschaftlich and it's capital Leiden... The Leiden in anime is already good, but knowing that a real city of Leiden really exists gave me goosebumps!😁 I wish to visit Leiden one day, and maybe work there too.🥺 I even named my city in Sim City as Leiden because I love it!🥰

I missed the two most important and impressive buildings in the center of Leiden, the Pieterskerk and the Hooglandse Kerk. Together with the Burcht van Leiden (Leiden Castle), these unique churches form the foundation of the city of Leiden.

wow, superb video! I love the Netherlands but have not visited Leiden yet... we will be travelling through there by train going from Amsterdam to Den Haag next month. hoping it will be a sunny day and I can get some nice shots of the city as we pass through. will have to visit here on a future trip!

Thanks! Leiden is a charming town, it is rather small. one thing I would recommend is to visit university, one of the oldest in Europe. Delft and The Hague are to close cities with interesting stuff. This town was built by Flemish refugees in the middle ages, sadly enough not many people know this. Otherwise Leiden would've seen different or not existed.

The best thing about Travel is meeting people and Dutch people are in my top 5 favorite Europeans. I used to love them the most. Im told by a friend Amsterdam is ugly...I guess she just didnt get laid in Amsterdam.

Hi, video is great. What are the winters like there? I am from South Africa so We are not used to very cold weather but we are thinking of moving there.
Because of its location near the sea the temperatures never get very diverse
The coldest winters I have seen recently are like -3 at day
