My first car was a 59 two door hardtop. White with black striping and red interior. It originally came with a 348 three deuce setup and TurboGlide transmission. The garage I purchased it from ($200) told me that it had a 409 replacement long block in it. All I know is that it was extremely fast on top end as you could peg the speedometer with ease. I remember the rear end would "lift" over seventy MPH and you felt like you were flying. It got three MPG to a gallon of Sunoco premium gas ( 30 cents a gallon) in normal driving (for a 16 year old). My friends called me batman because of the fins and cat eye taillight lenses. My 15 year old girlfriend (first wife) and I really enjoyed the big front seat and the bubble top at night. Man, I miss both of them (wife was killed by a drunk driver when she was 24) car was sold for something a little more economical (62 bug) as I joined the Marines and was sent to Viet Nam. Thanks for the memories!
That’s so cool I love hearing the stories Batman!! Its awesome to hear how cars impact our lives. We had gone to a strip 2 years ago and saw a 59 racing . Unfortunately life throws us huge curve balls. Our pops is hopefully looking down and guiding us through this journey.
I just started watching this 59 resto but I can't hear what your saying. Turn off the music please. Maybe you have done this already. Good luck with the project I have to play catch up on past videos.

You need to cover the glass
Who knows. That could be my old impala from 1968. Same color combo. Had a 283/3 spd w/overdrive.

The background music has to go when you are talking
Thank you for the feedback! We are still learning on the editing with background music.
