I love how you can plant flowers on each grave. So unique. I've never seen that before

I'd translate the inscription beneath the angel statue as followed. God told the angels to protect you on your path and carry you in their hands, so that you will not stumble over stones.

Did you see any WW 1 or WW 2 headstones?

      Look for war cemetery Babenweiler.
Big graveyards have often areas with war graves in Germany.
But this are in most cases military persons that died in hospital or in allied bomb raids.
Soldiers who died at the distant war theatres are mostly buried at war cemeteries there.
Many were buried in massgraves and 1,1 million from WWII are still missed.
That happens when you send out your sons to raid countries all around the world and every third did not come back.
The architectonical quality of German war cemeteries were in the beginning poor in comparison to American, British or French one. The reasons were: simply too many losses, a broken nation, big parts of Germany lost, and unlike allied nations German soldiers fighting for the Nazi-Regime were seen not as heroes. Any glorification of them would look like praising the Nazi system.
The last point is still an issue in Germany.
Even after 80 years the search for missed persons is still going on.
For more information look for the German institution „Kriegsgräberfürsorge“.

The beauty of this cemetery does not depict the BRUTALITY OF WHAT THESE GERMAN SOLDIERS ENDURED.HOW MAN COVERS HELL IN BEAUTIFUL SCENERY TO DISGUISE HIS GUILT OF WAR.
