Really cool Maverick, don't get to see many examples this nice! My dad had a Grabber blue one in '70 while stationed in Colorado Springs after he came back from Vietnam. He belonged to the local Ford Racing Club and was known as king of the Mavericks as his worked six-cylinder was faster than the stock V8's he raced!I wish he was around to see this one.
My first car was a maverick look exactly like that except I had a three speed on the column. Miss that car. I wish I could afford to buy this one ...looks good nice 👍🏽
My dream car. 😮 Had a 71 Grabber as a teenager. Spent four years restoring it. Lost it to a crash involving a deer. It had the same factory bucket seats and a factory three speed manual shift in the floor. I miss that car. 😢 You don’t see many with the high back buckets. Wish I had seen this four years ago. Wonder how the car is today?
Great car!! Though I loved the Mercury version, the Comet more. It had a more attractive front and rear fascias. My college roommate would borrow from time to time his dad's 4 door with the same red color and black vinyl roof and the icing on the cake was it had the 302. It was tasteful, sounded gorgeous and fast.
Really nice looking car. These bad boys are very undervalued imo. 302 Mav is a Mustang with less body weight, no? I can see why builders were messing with these back in the '80s. I remember Hot Rod Mag running a special with one with a 429 in it.
in 1983 i bought one of these it was called a grabber it had a 302 but mine had a three speeds manuel it was a light blue with grey inserts for $2300 it was mint from a ford guy in montana i also bought a 1972 442 ramair blue with white stripes 455 auto blue interior bench seat for $ 2000 i also bought a mint 1974 Plymouth road runner 400 mag auto dana rear frost green black stripes green bucket int for $ 2300 and a 1970 buick gs 350 ram air yellow with brown int for $ 2400 then i got a 1969 nova ss 350 m22 12 bolt for $ 3500 blue black int then i also got a 1965 marroon blik int 283 powerpak 4 speed m21 12 bolt for $ 600 all these were from 1979 to 1986 then in 1994 for $ 2,000 i then bought a weird grey Buick t type for $ 2,000 v6 turbo omg had i only known they go up but back then but it wasnt about the money as much as just having fun i also some where in the mix got a buick 455 gs ram air 4 speed a werid tan color with chasmere int for $ 1,000 but sold to a buddy asap as the tranny syncros were fed up
I had a maverick grabber that had a 302 Holley high rise 4 barrel carburetor. I putted around town. And I raced mustangs, thunderbird, comets, even a guy that pug airplane fuel in his cougar for pink slips. Hahaha. He blew up his engine. I rolled up and said fix that piece of shit before you give me that car. Of course he reneged on HIS bet. lol. But he was the kind of jerk that would have made me pay up. Poor guy was so embarrassed. He had the fastest car that could lay the most rubber And I didn’t believe in showing off. So he had no idea.
Wow! This is a sweet car! My brother had a Maverick with a 351 Cleveland in it with wheely wheels on the rear! It ran 9.80s in the quarter mile!

Great Maverick. Here, on Brazil, this car is a legend. The people pay any amount for can this car. Congratulations for the work.
Drove into the ground is right that was what we did with ours 5:29 . Mine was a 200 cid six with a three speed manual transmission. I loved it.

The color is Indian copper -Grill is wrong for a 70 , trim is aluminum not stainless
