I watched your video when you uploaded it but didn’t have time to comment. I finally taking some time to do so. I agree with you regarding James Gurney’s book… it really did blow my mind when I read it years ago; it’s one of the few art books that was really eye-opening and that I keep like a treasure. Thank you for showing the Sefirot art book! I pinned several images of this book on my Pinterest without knowing where they came from. I was able to order it through a Finnish store, they had a few left so I am impatiently waiting for it. By the way, I finally tried your technique from your water spirit video that I told you inspired me but I unfortunately completely messed up! 😅 it’s ok because I managed to fix it, even though I’m still working on it as I speak. This will be my next UA-cam video for next month 😊
Oh, that's great news! I just found out today that the official shop has restocked the Sefirot book, but I'm really happy that you were able to find it online. I think, not only is it a great book to add to your existing collection, but it also prompts you to think about composition in a new way. As for James Gurney’s style and overall aesthetic, I personally am not a big fan. However, I cannot deny that he's a great painter and his knowledge is a treasure to keep indeed. I'll keep my eyes peeled for you new video then. ;)
@@rampant.hare.illustrations 😮 Yes I went to check and they did refill the art book! It’s a pity because if I had waited a few more days I could have gotten the book way cheaper 😢 and I am still waiting for it! Hopefully I did not get scammed. Regarding James Gurney it’s not the style I am interested but rather his knowledge… the way he explains things corresponds to my logic. I also love the way he uses colors : there is a lot of subtlety in his use of color. As for my video it will be end of next month as I just finished filming and I need to edit it. Today I am releasing another one, 1 video per month is for now my maximum. I am trying however to post shorts of study drawings in order to be more active 😅… but it’s difficult to keep posting regularly. 🥵
💚
I'm enjoying your work. Looking forward to the sketchbook tour ✌️ 💜 😊
Thank you so much! 💜💜💜
