Non spoiler tips for you, Kage; Research is your friend. The fastest way to do it is to get whatever materials you need for whatever you are having your villager research. Otherwise, it will take forever as you add new buildings. Once you put the required materials in the boxes above the recipe, then the villagers will start on that.
Gathering shrooms, berries, flax, sage, hemp all the time. As you wander around is going to make your life so much easier.
Wood - sticks specifically ... you just can't have enough. It's never enough. So gather all you can. It will go faster with one day just going crazy with gathering sticks.
Invest in making storehouses. I recommend at least 3 in the beginning. One for resources. Stone, wood, ore, etc, one for weapons, armor, books ect. One for herbs, food and ingredients.
Researching a smoker will help with food lasting a bit longer.
Don't bother with the cauldron until you have a well.
A farm is OP. Plant just a few seeds of the stuff you gather a lot, like sage, flax, hemp and you'll get loads once the farm gets going. Also good to have a second one to keep villagers fed.
You'll need a water well, mud a shovel and hoe. Research all those before you build a farm.

invest in Ranged weapons for taking down wildlife and tagging bandits from a distance.
get armor & Shield for improved defense and block incoming attacks.
Bridges make solid chokepoints for challenging Bandits and killing them. use the terrain to your advantage!
I freaked out the first time the snow came in. Having the stockpile and the hunter station to manage the traps is nice during this time, have your workers gather wood with the foraging station. The first time farming river reeds, I had the companions follow me and used their inventory slots to stock up 😆
Kage 3 tips for you. 1. Better foods will give you more HP. 2. in town there is a Merchant in the south east area for 75g he sells a Quiver and also a lot of other things, 3. lvl 1 bandit cams have 3 bandits with clubs and no armor could be defeated with the guy if you build the shield and block tanking most the aggo.
Hey Kage! Not sure if you figured it out in the vid yet but the dense forest is the black area with trees on the map and that’s where you need to setup the rabbit cages for best productivity I believe. I’m new to the game as we’ll literally bought it yesterday after watching your first video. Loving it btw thank you!
One shelter can accommodate two villagers, Kage. Also, sleep thru the winters, if you don't have any other reason to be running around and get em over with.
This game looks interesting, I look forward to seeing how it progresses.

The stuff on the board was just lore.
Build a road sign for teleporting, not sure if you need to level up for it though. The red on the minimap tells where the raiders come from,and they are comming.
He goes t forage every time you eat because you have to set to top up to 10, also you get renown from killing bandits and quests, pay attention to the hired peoples traits as well. The first guy you get is a great all rounder and is a prodigy s he gets 30% extra XP gain

when you places the storage boxes did you make sure the direction NPCs can approach it is not blocked? might be placed blocking each others path
if its blocked, they cant use it

I like the book reading mechanic btw .Always worked well in fallout and 7 days .Can you vary season length like MD and skip to next season if you want?

Hi just bought the game and about to build my first building .I'm used to MD so in the winter I'd at least do a tour of all the mines as well as a few side mission .Are there mines in Bellwright?
Should have focused on getting a lot of resources before doing any fighting
Kage river reeds are just too the diagonal right of where ure setting up ure new area, theres a few fisher huts and ppl, and a river, watch out for roaming bandits!
i wouldnt split ure man power up till u have more than 4 ppl at 1 camp. u can just setup a foraging/mining/logging etc tent near the reid area and they will walk and collect etc. btw killing bandits and/or clearing caps gives u renound, aswell as handing coins in or building and placing dear torphies :)
you probably figured it out but, it looks like your status effects are under your stam bar. Yep, I spoke a minute too soon, ha.
Can you provide a chest for the NPC to place, and then possibly reposition it?
roads now use less stam

You need to learn to read stuff. Everything you have "discovered" is explained in game, some of it even have video tutorials you are skipping.
If you were not so bad at this game, geeze. Well you will get it.
Should of kept everything as your main base until you got set up then start making outposts. Alot easier that way
