The NG15 class is one of my favorite narrow gauge locomotive types. It’ll be so cool to have one in regular operation!

Oops, we accidentally got in shot walking from the wood shed to the loco shed at BL. Excellent episode as always, and sorry about making the racket we did collecting wood and cutting it. I look forwards to cleaning 134 in the future

Interesting usage of a cube LED light in place of an incandescent bulb on the 134. I have seen some try this in the US with varying degrees of success. Interested to see how it works for you all.

NG134 looks, and sounds absolutely fantastic!!! (Love the Growling Hooter!!)

It wouldn't be a hooter those are single-tone, it's a chime whistle, a Standard Chinese 5 Chime if I had to guess, an interesting sound no doubt.

I worked on and drove similar Clayton loco's in a coal mine for ten years.

i do have to make a compliment here for the preservation effort of the railway - personally i do think these tunnel shunters are buttugly and i would have no regret seeing these cut up for scrap - but - i know there was a time when people thought the same about steam engines and people like you are the reason we can still enjoy them today, so who am i to judge these tunnel things for the next generation? Hard to say for me but i'm glad you are preserving them .

Are you keeping the spare batteries on trickle charge? In my experience if you don't the lead oxide in the grids will turn to lead sulphate and the battery will be ruined in a year or two. Also never leave a battery discharged.
I am happy to see the electric locos and look forward to seeing the new bodies. I love the one you did for Conwy Castle a long way back now.

Oh! That Whickam Railcar looka a tad top-heavy. Tell the driver to sit in the middle, will you? Great work, guys. Miss that place but hopefully, soon be back!

It doesn't look like it wouldn't be too hard to install a larger cab on the battery locomotives on one end and not be any different from any locomotive

The trolley in the last clip looks like a larger cousin of the Fairmont motor cars used here in the US by maintenance-of-way crews.

Mmmm ..... all those subjects I'd been searching online for updates .... all in one convenient clip !! 👍
Question on the Claytons : Have that pair got a regen facility? If not .... could it be incorporated?
What do we reckon for names for the ex-Tideway Tunnel locos? We've 'Castell' for some of the diesels. How about a naming competition for local schools, scouts, guides, junior FRS members etc.? Get the next generation and the community involved.
I was thinking of an 'Afon .... ' series, but with the first of the Kalaharis champing at the bit .... Ooh ... I DO like those Kalaharis. I await the verdict on performance, ease of use, efficiency and all the maintenance stuff with anticipation.
Nice to see my favourite ALCO is progressing. Am I the only one wondering if more thought is going into this 'renewal' than did to the original design, back in the day?

Great to see Kalahari so close to entering service! But what does the valve marked "desert" in the cab do?

I may be across the pond, but how about giving the battery-electrics some ‘electrical’ names? Like say Watts and Volts.

How about "Flash" or "Short" or "Outage"?

We will do a more in depth technical episode in the future. Hopefully that will answer any questions, various opinions are being tried currently.
