Good price, I need to replace my glitchy unit. Mine has toggle switches for Cab and Amp defeat and a unity 1/4" line-out. Can't get this mod today, but cab defeat is significant. Tech21 swears tone control settings can compensate...meh. FYI, you can cut a bright cap wire, as to warm up the Brit tone. The EQ controls are very powerful, so fine tune with cut and boost.
@@ottokirk2325 I wish it had a "thru." I'm going to have to buy a signal splitter pedal so I can blend it with another tone or at least have a dry backup for plugins.
Thinking of picking one up. Can it be used without an external cabsim/IR? I had one back in the day (>10 yrs ago!) and I remember it being harsh unlike the GT2 which has a mic position switch acting as a cabsim. I was wondering if any of you had luck with the Tri AC going direct. Thanks!
All the switch led lights for mine stay on in bypass mode, but it wasnt always doing that. I reset it to the default settings and it still happens although the pedal works perfectly fine, and I use a brick power supply hooked up to a 9V 100 mA port. Any idea why all the lights stay on in bypass mode?
I had Putnam Guitars mod mine. Installed bypass switches for both Cab and Amp Sim sections. Also added a 1/4 Unity buffered line-out. So, optional Tri-EQ(3 band) for a single tone vintage amp. That's like 4 channels! Good luck finding an analog programmable EQ. Cost was 50USD! FYI, David cancelled this service. Unity Out for a second amp without phase issue. Wet/Dry rigs. Doing either amps, modelers or going hybrid! Really helped tone with Yam DG-stomp or Fender Floor. It really is a beast of a tool box. Unfortunately, after some years, it now has some random glitches after playing a bit. Tried to re-solder mods, but no luck. I need to acquire another one and transfer the mods. Oh, I favored no cab sim and a nice Bassman vibe via Cali with low to moderate drive.
This things sounds awesome. I've tried many plugins but have to say no latency plus analog distortion has its advantges.
Got one for under $100 and man, it's still great in 2023

@@Brutuscomedy You can use a Y cable with two male ends and single female end.
@@ottokirk2325 I don't think that's going to result in the same quality. But I ought to look further into it. Those pedals exist for a reason.

My best acquisition ever.

Thanks, no post-processing!
@@pedalsessions4522 Nice!
I had one few years ago but I didn't like it at all so I sold it. I couldn't find any good sounds in it.
what can u say? this pedal with nux cerberus? if u have cerberus pls do a demo pls :)
My plan nux and sansamp I am waiting
Using cabinet simulator ? Or not ?
Tech 21 says there is adequate cab sim for each amp sim inside the unit
I think it just preamp
@@imoninocaster it’s not just a preamp it’s amp and analog cab emulation
@@rafsnchz yes you are right, it turns out that all this time there has been a description in the manual and I only found out now 😅
The name is Sansamp, Without Amp! It says everything.
