So much to admire: the psychic, wedding guests, and audience members; the atmosphere of old New York (restaurants, hotels, etc.) the brief scene in which Danny and Tina argue divergent philosophical perspectives.
Thank you again for your dedication in putting these pieces together.I always learn something new. Recently it has occurred to me that Woody's films are truly works of art and timeless. They are like great music that you can hear thousands of times and be thrilled and pleased upon each hearing. I have given up trying to select a favorite. Each time I think I've accomplished a decision in that regard, I see a new one or watch an old one for the 20th time, and realize that for me the choice of a favorite is impossible. That would be similar to choosing a favorite from Mozart, Bach, or Beethoven or Charles Dickens.
Each one of his films is multilayered and are all accurate portrayals of the simultaneous absurdity and joy of life. They never fail to make me laugh heartily or sob deeply as he wraps them up so skillfully at the end. Unlike Woody Allen ,who a quotes Groucho on Annie Hall with "I would never want to belong to any club that would have someone like me as a member", I can, without hesitationsay that I am a full dues-paying member of the Woody Allen Club.
Thanks guys!
I recently read his biography and decided to give his films another look. This is a lot of fun like Radio Days, Small Time Crooks, and Midnight in Paris,
This and then take the money and run. Forever classics
An amazing film❤️
This movie is a valentine to a special time in my life--1984, Smiler's and the now gone Carnegie D.
One of my favourite movies.
I love the part where he tips the valet guy and says “here get ya self somethin nice” lol. It’s all about the delivery and circumstance.
Love this touching band funny movie Woody Allen captures angst and humor
"And I don't mean to be didactic or facetious in any way." -- Danny Rose
This is a great movie. If you're Italian its even better!
I love it when he’s trying to pacify Lou’s hysterical mistress in the kitchen and says “he wouldn’t cheat on you, he has integrity!” but he’s telling that to the mistress 😂
He only cheats with one woman at a time LOL
1:07 Sandy Baron played Jack Klompus on Seinfeld. 😀
How is this not his best movie? The Jokes fit in seamlessly. He combined the themes and motifs. I guess that really works. By combining things the pieces all fit together better. The singer cheats on his wife and then breaks up with his manager. There's guilt over the betrayal. They are struggling to make it in the world. People from the past trying to salvage their careers. There's The italian vibe. It didn't occur to me that the black and white was something from Italian cinema. So many films and entertainment seem so forced yet this movie moves of it's own force. Is that what they mean by Tour de Force?
Thanks for matching the faces to the names at the table!
STAR SMILE STRONG Good Advice in most every situation. Don't forge them!!!!!
Unfortunately Carnegie Deli closed after 70 years in business. "The food is horrible and such small portions." Seriously, food was great.
Is this an Aussie Channel? Just asking cos i would like to connect with other woody allen fans. I've been into his movies since the early 80's but could never find anybody else that liked them. Not sure why as the man is a genuis.
Check Reddit and/or start a community dedicated to WA's films.
Howard Cosell in the audience, nr 11
Rao's a favorite among the connected. I see where Seinfeld got his inspiration.
"She wore big sunglasses to cover her eyes." What else can sunglasses cover?
Mia said she thought her eyes were too gentle to convey the part so we chose the glasses. Also she based Tina on a real life New York restaurant owner. It was a great comic performance.
Her feet?
This movie is a sacrament
To the speaker: not "Aghita", but Agita. Thanks.
I know! I just heard it. Listen to the song! It’s pronounced “Ah-ji-dah” - upset stomach 🤢

@@theselector4733 hey, thank you. but it is not the same version. the one at the ending is instrumental with different orchestra.
MAJOR ALERT!!! You used Jack E. Leonard's photo for Jackie Gayle. Two different comics!!! Jack E. was Don Rickles predecessor, Jackie Gayle was also very funny.
That is not how Agita is pronounced lol
